A SWARM OF SWAMPERT HAVE APPEARED ON ROUTE 119. This muddy congress of amphibians swim through swamp waters. Occasionally, the glow of a submerged TERA CRYSTAL can be seen below the murky pools. Others cake themselves in mud for moisture before piling boulders for protection.[break][break]

Many Swampert can be seen raising their fins to the air to sense the winds flying in from the oceans. A storm is coming—but what kind?[break][break]

The grass-type takes but a moment to compose herself before diving back into the SWAMP, like an ogre running off those from their land. Her LEAF BLADE glints beneath sunlight even as it dances between Swamperts, a never-ending blur.

From the side, Greyson watches with mild curiosity. This entire thing was an exercise to give her more familiarity in battles where one had the disadvantage—only now, unfortunately, he was realizing how easy this was for her.

Knocking down a rather large Swampert, Greyson whistles for her to come on in. Well, maybe in another minute...

Daisy touched down at the entrance to route 119. Caleb slid off the Dragonite's back, then whistled for her to follow him into the swamp.[break][break]
"Can't believe they're having us wade through waist-high mud just to find some stray Tera crystals," the Ranger sighed. Everything these days had been "Tera this, and Tera that"...he knew they were important, but the government was utterly obsessed with them. Would collecting hoards of them really make some kind of difference? Were they trying to build a weapon? Some next iteration of the RKS Machine?[break][break]
He was shaken out of his reverie by a nearby grunting. Daisy trilled a warning and Caleb stopped, mud sloshing about as he tried to keep his balance. A trio of Swampert were rolling around, using the turbid expanse like it was their own personal swamp spa. Their fins were tilted towards the East, and Caleb's gaze followed their angle, curious as he surveyed the horizon. No clouds, oddly enough.[break][break]
"Looks clear, but maybe it'll storm in a few hours or something."[break][break]
A wave of murky water splashed towards him then, causing him to trip backwards. "Dammit!" Now his entire lower half was caked in mud. Grumbling, he pulled out a Pokeball and threw it at the Swampert nearest to him. Surely that one had been the culprit of his now ruined jeans...[break][break]

Today, he found himself on Route 119, enjoying a nice stroll. Usually he would be off doing some ranger-related work, but with nothing better to do, he had taken the time to enjoy the scenery around the area where he lived. It was not something he got to enjoy very often, mostly because he could be considered a bit of a workaholic.

As he reached the area of the route that was swampy, he would find what seemed to be a swarm of Swampert. If there were Swamperts here, then he was sure there would be some Mudkip around as well. But where they may be, he couldn’t see them. Oh, well, he would just focus his attention on the Swampert.

Taking one look at the SWAMP water, he quickly rejected the idea of going for a swim, instead releasing Rook from his pokeball before mounting the Corviknight and hovering over the swamp. From there, he would fly towards and nearby Swampert, skimming the water as he dove down near enough in order to use a Steel Wing against the Swampert.

He would then quickly guide Rook back up before any of the Swamperts could retaliate against him and Rook. If any were weakened enough, he would run for a pokeball; if they weren’t, he would wait until one was ready for capture before getting a pokeball ready.

The journey to find more Tera Shards, to explore the mysterious and magical properties of Terastellization, as well as explore of Hoen took Zachary through the swampland. with him, for a change, he took his new special friend-- Jiraiya the Greninja. It was odd for the psychic Pokemon trainer, but Greninja was no ordinary frog pokemon. He had grown and become afar more skilled. That and his skin was far darker than others-- being unique. The frog hopped and scaled along the trees, all the while keeping his trainer in sight. [break][break] With the emergence of the Swamperts, Greninja took arm, his watery powers taking ninja like weapons. As the swarm came, they could see the glow of the Tera shard coming from below the bottom of the swamp. "Jiraiya! Show em what you got? Toxic Spikes!" Zachary ordered. [break][break] Obeying happily, the frog jumped above, and spreaded shards of glowing, violet spikes, causing the poisonous spikes to seed into the ground. The Swamperts tried to attack him as he moved, stepping or trying to avoid the spikes. Moving like an acrobat and ninja as he was-- Greninja flipped and jumped through the swampland, almost seeming to skip and walk on the water's surface. [break][break] "Strike them down! Quick attack!" Zachary called. [break][break] Greninja's speed went into high gear-- and shot forward. A blur of speed and water, knocked the Swamperts around, delivering strong and swift strikes. [break][break] Greninja returned back to the back-- flipping dramatically, and landed near before Zachary... [break][break] .. The flashy frog soon took a dramatic stance, showing off as he gave a traditional Yojimbo pose, with a palm extended to show his prowess like a dramatic ninja. [break][break] Zachary frowned and shook his head. "Show off..." Zachary murmured, shrugging at his luck of finding unusual Pokemon. [break][break] B|C7YB_y[break][break]

Elise finds herself trudging through the mud while the Honchkrow flies overhead. She has seen swamps that had mud as deep as it would be on her ankles, but she is wanting to see the swarm of Mudkip and Swampert that made their home there. Patting off the mud of her slacks, the royal watches the Swampert and Mudkip play around with each other.[break][break]

When one of the water type starters come to see the ambassador and her Honchkrow, the bird swoops down to attack it with Night Slash. “You wanted to train, didn’t you?” Elise asks her Honchkrow when he nods slightly. She sighs a little. “I suppose I won’t mind if you do.”[break][break]

After the Honchkrow trains with the Swampert, Elise tosses a Dusk Ball towards the water type starter.[break][break]

It had been several months since that horrific night. One moment, they were hunting a mutated Ursaluna. The next, they were rolling in the mud with Megalopolans, exploring new reaches of the swamp. They were all lucky to have survived that ordeal.

Though the ordeal brought him and DESIREE BLOOMS closer together.

This time, it was a congregation of Swampert swimming around in the mud. One thing that didn't change was the faint glow of submerged Tera Crystals, a seeming constant in Hoenn.

Thomas tossed a Pokeball towards the Swampert, hoping to get lucky.

The tera crystal energy in the swamp had drawn Ameena in. She was pleasantly surprised to see the whole swarm of swampert and their kin in the swamp, though whichever ones had tera crystals were quite evasive. She got as close as she dared, standing just before the land turned to mud and worse conditions. Still, she stood with her binoculars and watched the waters carefully. The light from tera would appear just to be gone in a blink. The murky conditions made it difficult to assess where the tera swamperts could even be going. "This is going to be a long day," she sighed to herself.

Roy's tone was sharp, reflecting the impatience he picked up from his unovan days. He stood at the edge of the swamp, his dragon hovering above the murky water below. Balmung snapped back, letting out a low, disapproving growl in response to Roy's command. The fire-type was doing his best with what he had, unleashing attacks at every fin that broke the surface of the muddy pool. Despite his efforts, all he managed to do was turn mud into dirt.

It seemed like the pair were running their attempts into the ground, ruining their chances of catching a swampert.

Swampert Swarm

Swamperts are beautiful creatures, but Cain won't deny that he is more intrigued by the glow of the submerged tera crystal. Or at least, what he thinks is a tera crystal. The swamp water is murky with a mixture of mud, soak, algae, and other life saturated throughout. It could be something else entirely... but he likes to think that he's seen enough of them before to ascertain what this is before him. [break][break]

"Looks like we're not the only ones interested in it," he says to his frosmoth, who flutters delicately in the air beside him. "So no harm if we can't actually get anything out of today. But try aurora beam, anyway." [break][break]

And at his behest, Chantilly hums brightly, before sending out a beautiful wave of arctic energy in the direction of the sailing swampert fins. The appendages appear and disappear as they trudge through the swamps, but he hopes that the shock of cold sent through their systems wakes them up, and makes movement in that water strong enough to unearth the truth about the tera crystal lying deeper below it all. There were Mudkip and Swampert all over the place. After all, the route Elaine had walked onto was a swamp--their natural habitat. She had always lieked Mudkipz. But the more she waded through the muck, the more she began to regret it. The Safari in Pastoria City was something similar to this.

Covered with marshes and bogs. Difficult to wade through. Some people even brought overalls and fishing boots with them and Elaine could see why they did.

"Well, no point in complaining at this point."

Elaine sighed. The shower would call her name once she got home. That was inevitable. So, she might as well try to trudge through the literal mud-covered path she was walking. Gathering a Pokeball at the ready, she turned her head around and then...

The swamp's kind of a relaxing place to be. There's a certain call to these muddy waters that Cassandra would never dare to heed - she knows that there's no way she could get clean enough before returning home so that her mother wouldn't notice. So she keeps a respectful distance from the swarm, lurking at it from a comfortable distance but still caught up in all the smelliness that decaying grounds carry with them.

"Jon?" However, it's been a while since Jon's gone off on his own, and he ... "Hey, Martin, did you see Jon?" She hikes up her skirt, carefully treading the muddiness in search of the sentient garbage bag - which truly is a challenge in this colourscape. "Do you think ..." Cass murmurs, looking anxiously at her Comfey who is a bit farther away, staring at a point on the ground. She hurries over, careful not to actually sink in anywhere. "Martin-"

He starts chuckling, to which Cass only joins. It seems like a group of Mudkip (and evolutions) have spotted the Trubbish and carried over things for him to eat - and now he simply couldn't move, almost disappearing into the swamp. "Alright, time ..." Now she also has to roll up her sleeves - don't look, don't look, don't look - and pulls Jon out of the mud - and hey, if a pokéball just happened to drop from her bag onto a pokémon, who's to say no to a catch ...
