[attr="class","mthread"]this isn't his usual expedition, but marcel would be lying if he said he wasn't interested in the reason remiel invited him here. as he takes in the scenery, some part in the back of his mind wonders how long until this curiosity is the end of him. he returns the alakazam he used to teleport here before replacing it with his sylveon.

unlike his fellow admin, marcel adopts his usual wear, save the blazer he left behind; his sleeves are rolled to the elbows, cuffs unbuttoned. "what's the occasion?" he asks as he approaches. sensing a similar presence, he motions for his sylveon to cast a cautionary LIGHT SCREEN around them.

considering priam's question, he motions for vega to take down the nearby machamp. "maybe? i don't think so." the tower challenge was probably the most he'd looked at his pokemon collection, to tell the truth. marcel always forgot to release the ones he didn't need. when priam continues, he turns back to him. "oh, no thanks. i'm good. it's not really my style."

"oh for f--" marcel stops himself and glances at the child in his arms, "i'm so sorry. you're right, i--" he tries his best to ignore the tiny hands tugging at his hair, "--i don't do this a lot."

as the boy's grip settles on marcel's right ear, he moves to approach the two. it's only now he spots his rapidash over the other man's shoulder--trying to get as far away from the trouble as it could, he guessed. bastard.
[break][break]marcel realises he hasn't quite thought ahead, as he's about to grab the girl with her brother still in his hold. he looks between the siblings with a conflicted look on his face. "hana," he says gently, trying a different approach, "would you please let go of the nice man?"

[attr="class","mthread"]moments like these are a privilege, one marcel has refused for a while now. perhaps it's for this reason that he eyes the stalls with such a fervent enthusiasm. though the inspiration is clearly taken from an older era, he can see the spirit of his hometown here; it's a memory he doesn't expect to cross his mind, with the number of years that had passed.

"and here i thought you were here out of good will." though he remains focused on the cluster of thievul closest to them, there's a small quirk to his mouth. "jupiter--" the electivire moves beside him with heavy steps, "--electroweb."

two balls of electricity form at the palms of his electivire; it takes aim, and throws. as they travel through the air, the orbs crackle morph into a web-like structure, stretching out to link with each other. the ELECTROWEB manages to encase the group of thievul taking the head, though the others still lie in wait.

"don't worry," he says as he scans the field, "you'll get paid." he might have said more, but marcel gets distracted by a cry from his noivern; he turns to find her sniffing curiously at one of the wooloo. "vega, what are you doing?!" his voice rises as the noivern uses her jaws to grip the wooloo firmly by its wool, shaking the bleating pokemon around.

[attr="class","mthread"]he's halfway out the door to check for his partner when katherine appears. "oh," marcel says, voice coloured by a light surprise, "perfect. you're here." waving for the rocket to join him, marcel turns to go back into the safe house.

when katherine enters, she'll notice marcel's reuniclus in the centre of the room, setting up a PSYCHIC TERRAIN. "glad to see you got the memo." he nods towards her gallade. marcel has requested for psychic types, preferably with teleport too, in case they needed a quick getaway.

"i've got the most valuable ones in a van with the others," he says as he walks up to the window. the grunts had the order to leave as soon as a text came; it would be simply enough with his rotom in his phone. pulling back the curtain a fraction, marcel lets it fall back when he decides there's no signs of trouble yet. "any questions?"

"how has no one managed to catch that?!" he exclaims as the drapion begins to reach into the pond. with the whole chase that had been going on, he would have expected the culprit to be a lot more small, more discreet.

still, this wasn't the time for that. while the pokemon's distracted with looking for his next meal, marcel's rotom strikes it with DISCHARGE. the scorpion pokemon throws back its head with a roar before throwing a handful of TOXIC SPIKES onto the ground.

"mind the floor!" marcel shouts as he lunges out the way. thankfully, he doesn't need to worry about his rotom. the pokemon hovers above the spikes with little trouble.

[break][break]as the van starts up his sylveon throws up a PROTECT to stop the rock slide from blocking their path. that it halts the grovyle's quick attack too is a happy coincidence.

quickly adjusting to the presence of a new foe, his rotom uses DISCHARGE. with its power doubled by CHARGE, he hopes it's enough to make up for type disadvantage.
