there's not much else to do other than stand back. marcel watches as his klefki's hoisted into the air and caught in the cross-fire of a number of attacks. at least he knows no harm will come to it.

it doesn't take long for him to locate katherine; it had been about a week since he'd gotten her the job here. marcel watches the woman with some amusement before he approaches.

i'm so mad i had this all typed out and accidentally went back in my browser so here i am typing it all again jsadnkjasndkj. anyway i feel like after their last mission and katherine opening up about her concerns re:littleroot and all that marcel would probs be inclined to start looking out for katherine a bit more. he's quite quick to take people under his wing if they've made a good impression, and i think her blunt curiosity is something he'd find quite charming. ~~i sensei cute friendship blossoming~~

since u mentioned that she hops between jobs i thought it could be cool if marcel was responsible for getting her some of them. often enough he'll probably be investigating people who frequent certain cafes/shops/etc so i can see him pulling a few strings to get katherine a place there (sometimes undercover??) so she can keep an eye out for him and once he gets the info he needs she's free to do whatever.

"she's a good one, isn't she?" the fairy-type pokemon lets out a victory cry, seemingly invigorated by her win. still, he knows it's only a matter of time before the exertion of the battle will take its effect. he returns his pokemon with a smile.

but given the location, it's not long before wild pokemon begin to stir. marcel reluctantly stands up, closing the van doors behind him; his kadabdra summons a REFLECT around them.

marcel looks up from his phone to the unassuming building. as he knocks on the door, his rotom exits his phone to hover by his side. his kabadra stands about a metre from the doorway, out of sight but ready to jump in if needed.

it had taken a while, but marcel had managed to slip through the cracks. once that first weak point had been found, it was only a matter of time before everything else unravelled. though he'd read everything he needed to know minutes earlier, part of him was still curious to meet miss wilhelmina reiss.

as he waits for the door to open, marcel debates which persona would work best for him.

marcel's sylveon recovers quickly from the impact, latching onto the drifblim with its claws as COPYCAT comes into play once more. throwing its head back, the sylveon smashes the SHADOW BALL onto the surface of the balloon pokemon, accepting the recoil that would come just as their opponent did.

still, it's better to be safe than sorry. at his command, the rotom blasts an OMINOUS WIND in the direction of the perceived threat. meanwhile, his sylveon throws up a LIGHT SCREEN in anticipation.
