The FAIRY LOCK that descends around the Gengar and his Armarouge is a clever defensive tactic. Remiel did not doubt that Galahad would have used the last of its strength to end this bout once and for all. Instead, the flaming knight is dragged down in defeat by the gluttonous phantom.

Its flames flicker and dissipate before it FAINTS, disappearing in a flash of golden light shortly thereafter. On the other side of the battlefield, Remiel swaps his Armarouge's Luxury Ball for another.

"Cheap tricks like that will only get you so far," The avatar glares, tossing the next Luxury Ball between them before an IRON JUGULIS is summoned to the battlefield. "And you're going to regret that."

The mechanical dragon whirs and twitches, its visual sensors locking on to their opponents and displaying targeting data in bright red. When the lock-on is complete, all three of its jaws snap in their direction before it unleashes a gargling robotic cry.

It finishes this cry by jabbing its two lesser heads into the ground below, muffling their cries:

"ELECTRIC TERRAIN!"

And summoning a field of electricity that devours their environment whole. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the summoning of this field surrounds both avatar and PARADOX Pokémon with an unmistakable aura of intense power (QUARK DRIVE).

Galahad is soon descended upon by the lecherous DREAM EATER. Before Remiel can hope to do anything about it, however, a jangling of keys alerts him to the actions of the opponent standing before him. All it takes is a brief glance of the KLEFKI before the black-haired prince TELEPORTS away in the blink of an eye.

He reemerges instantly behind marcus kotov and the second Pokémon he'd summoned. And, almost as instantly, the avatar fires off another LIGHTNING STILETTO that darts past the two and strikes his Armarouge instead. The bolt of electricity may even serve to damage the Gengar mid-feast before Galahad inevitably WAKES UP from the nightmare.

"FLAME CHARGE to me!"

If the Gengar hadn't unlatched itself from his brain just yet, then the flames that burst out from its body surely would do the trick. The fact that marcus kotov and his Klefki were in its path was just an added bonus.

Just as the Armarouge raises its cannon and aims it, it finds itself face-to-face with the Gengar's HYPNOTIC eyes. There's a feeble attempt to try and fire off a blast as its eyelids grow heavy... but it's futile. In seconds, it falls ASLEEP standing as its arms fall to the wayside.

Noticing this, Remiel stops just a few steps short of marcus kotov and calls out to his Pokémon. "Galahad! Wake up!" The avatar's body crackles with the electricity he has summoned. He never truly takes an eye off his opponent either, ensuring the Team Rocket agent is always at least in the periphery of his vision.

But none of this, of course, completely ensures against some form of counterattack or sucker punch.

Remiel pauses to pull a camera out from his pack, then toys with its settings as he responds. "We're a lot alike then. Word of advice, however: don't stretch yourself too thin. It took me abandoning my post as ambassador to remember why I enjoyed archaeology in the first place."

He takes a moment to regard his cousin with a smile before turning back to the glyphs to snap photos.

Saragosa's curious throat grumbles echo down the cave passageway as the flash from Remiel's camera illuminates the shadowy edges of her SPOTLIGHT in erratic bursts. When satisfied, he hangs the camera from his neck with a lanyard and throws it on his backpack again. "Let's keep it moving. TEAM ROCKET may not be too far behind." He suggests with a nod.

And so he leads the way with his Illumina Garchomp at the front, providing the ASSISTANCE they both needed to see the rocky cave path that awaited them ahead. Not to mention the swarm of screeching ZUBAT that flee from the slightest bit of light they receive.

He'd heard such words before, and he'd almost begun to get used to hearing them. TEAM ROCKET certainly did not take kindly to its defectors. Not that he cared, of course. Having been brainwashed and deluded himself, Remiel learned not to take their statements to heart.

But still... it always stung from someone he once considered a friend. Or, at least, someone he once admired. Not that he'd give Bryan the satisfaction of reminding him now. It would only give more fuel to the fire of someone who clearly felt jaded about him.

That being said, the FAIRY LOCK that appeared around them became another unwanted OBSTACLE in this race for time. Not only that, but it solidified bryan delarosa as his enemy. There was literally no escaping it now.

"Have it your way then," The exiled prince gravely states, TELEPATHICALLY commanding his Noivern to suddenly WILD CHARGE the opposing man and his Corviknight in a BOOSTED (ATK+ SPD+) storm of draconic blue energy and electricity. "I can't let you get in my way!"

The bolt struck.

Remiel does not waste a moment afterward before stepping forward, closing the distance between himself and the aggressor as their Pokémon fight nearby. Though he could not bring about the same vicious tactics as ADMIN FOX now that he was part of the LEAGUE, the royal could certainly display the same tenacity.

It was a race against time to reach the mysterious depths of this mountain, after all. Any OBSTACLE that came his way needed to be dealt with efficiently.

Almost as if feeding off this tenacity himself, Galahad's eyes flare up as he stops the SHADOW PUNCH just inches away from his face with his PSYCHIC power. Then, with a burst of FLASH FIRE from his body, the Armarouge attempts to blow the Gengar backward to create some distance.

After overcoming a few dicey encounters with TEAM ROCKET agents, Remiel returned to base to learn that the LEAGUE had finally found a way inside the extensive cave system. Just then, he'd received a message from his dear cousin, asking him to accompany her on a SURVEY mission.

Despite feeling a bit worried that she was coming at all, considering what had transpired recently, the exiled prince decided that accompanying her was the next best thing. So the pair set off, and before long they were about half a mile within said cave system before a strange set of glyphs began to appear here and there. "Archaeology? I didn't know you were interested in the field." He remarks, turning to his cousin.

The flickering firelight of her ALOLAN MAROWAK had brought them this far, but it proves insufficient when trying to discern the intricate details of the carvings, however. So, instead, Remiel summons his ILLUMINA GARCHOMP with the toss of a Luxury Ball. "SARAGOSA has it covered from here." He nods, watching as the Garchomp's snout suddenly begins to ILLUMINATE.

"Fascinating..." Remiel smiles, stepping closer to the glyphs before placing his bare hand on one of them. "They don't appear to be Draconid script in origin. At least not any that I recognize. But I'm sure there's something to be garnered from the universal motifs found within these glyphs anyway." He adds, tracing one of the spiral patterns carved therein with a finger.

"Then you are a fool as well," Remiel responds, raising a single hand and spawning a crackling LIGHTNING STILETTO between his fingers. "I have the right to leave the League behind should I choose. You, however, remain bound to TEAM ROCKET in chains you cannot see. We are not the same."

The DESTINY BOND that approaches Galahad is noticed, but it moves too fast to avoid. Instead, the Armarouge rushes in to close the distance between itself and the Gengar with a roaring FLAME CHARGE that illuminates their surroundings. Remiel, in the meantime, casts his LIGHTNING STILETTO at the masked man.

A black CORVIKNIGHT isn't too hard to track against the backdrop of a bright blue sky. This one, however, flies at the command of bryan delarosa and manages to get the drop on Remiel regardless. The STEEL BEAM connects with Guavafang's wing, sending them twirling downward before she can regain control of her flight path once more.

When she finally does so, the Noivern rockets upward with the flair of a DRAGON DANCE in her wake. It's only once she stops to a hover that Remiel is spared a moment to set his gaze on the assailants across from them: a Beast he once admired greatly. A man he once called comrade.

"Bryan? Is that you?" If he'd thought they parted ways amicably, the royal supposed he was just proven wrong. Disappointment weighs down his expression as he continues. "I don't want to fight you. Leave."

The LEAGUE required more information about a certain sector of the island to its east. They lacked the topographical data to safely and swiftly lead a ground-based team through. With plenty of flying miles logged on dragon-back, Remiel Calcifet was a natural choice for this solo mission.

GUAVAFANG the NOIVERN was also uniquely suited to this little assignment of theirs. Her large ears and sharp eyesight helped her track things below that her master was otherwise oblivious to. Though he'd strapped a radar and scanning device to her harness before mounting her, she provided her own occasional chirp to echolocate targets or locations of interest below.

The sharp chirp she emitted, however, reverberated far throughout the territory below. There was no doubt that anyone in said area would hear it. This meant that tracking the bat-dragon and her royal rider in the sky would be a rather easy feat for someone like bryan delarosa to accomplish.
