Two Pokemon come bounding up to meet her, their hands full of plates that they set up on the table. She smiles, her affection plain on her face and the tilt of her lips. She tears open fork and chopstick packages to scoop servings onto their plates, giving each one a pat on the head or a scratch behind the ears before they settle into their positions to eat. Whatevers left can be shared between her and Fernando, and she tucks herself into the couch, a box in her hand.[break][break]

"Water and liquor sounds perfect."[break][break]

He leaves to grab just that, and she sighs, stirring the contents of her container idly while leaning her cheek against the back of the couch. She scans the living area slowly, lost in thought.[break][break]

[attr="class","spiral"]Unsurprisingly, Stormy’s better wit his Pokemon than he is. They’re obedient to a fault, primed and raised to a standard Fernando finds acceptable, but they’re still living creature by the end of the day.

His Smeargle pounds its chopsticks eagerly against the table while waiting its turn, chirping a thankful ‘Smeargle’ when given food and a pat. His Kecleon is a bit less responsive but that comes with the species. It just stares at her and then its food, waiting for a few minute before snatching something off its plate with its whip like tongue.

Fernando returns with bottle and shot glasses in hand, confused by the sight. He sees both his Pokemon standing in front of the coffee table, each eating in their own distinct way, while Stormy makes herself comfortable on his couch.

“Eat at the table,” he states, causing both Pokemon to waddle past the couch and back into the main living room.

“Where’d you put the milk tea?”

He sets the bottle down at the coffee table and pours the two of them a shot. He unwinds the cap of his water bottle as well, knowing full well he’s going to chase each shot with a mouthwash of water and milk tea.

Stormy watches them both for a while, subtly amused by their quiet personalities. Though that soon dissipates the moment Fernando returns, bottles in hand and glasses primed between his fingers. She shifts her weight, moving over on the couch.[break][break]

He mentions the milk tea, and she blinks in surprise, having forgotten it in her eagerness for food. She removes the blanket from her lap and gets to her feet.[break][break]

"Shit-- I forgot it at the door."[break][break]

She makes her way back to retrieve it, finding it where she'd left it next to the shoe rack. [break][break]

"Here."[break][break]

Shot, water, swiss, milk tea. A nasty combination but one Fernando stomachs in order to get the best of both worlds.

Afterwards, he picks at the food, looking for specific pieces and adding them to his plate. On appearance alone, there’s something he’s unwilling to try, willing to dig through it in order to fine a piece of meat or bone.

His refusal to carry out with small talk is squashed by him taking up the space next to her. Given the size of the couch, he puts as much distance as he can, refined to his own personal space, but that amounts to only being about a foot apart. Truth be told, Fernando lacks company not due to his personality or lack thereof but solely due to how infrequently he stays at ‘home’.

He remains silent as the televisions plays. Ignoring it in lieu of his food, careful not to spill the greasy piece in between bites. Unlike her colleague, Fernando has no intention of being preyed upon for having oily fingers.

She remains unconvinced. Not because of the way his house is in impeccable condition, or the stiff way he sits next to her, but because of the way he is. [break][break]

The severe lack of interest in small-talk helps, given the stiff way he responds. Her attempts to be casual with him are snuffed out immediately.[break][break]

In order to not rub him the wrong way unintentionally, and more than she likely already has, Stormy chooses to remain quiet while the TV plays. She moves her food around in her box idly, picking at it from time to time.[break][break]
