LATE SEPTEMBER — as ultra wormholes are sighted in the seas of hoenn, the region begins to be tainted by poisons, the source of which is unknown. parts of hoenn's seas darken with toxic waste, like oil spills. for this reason, head scientist, lucas lane, has entrusted volunteers with a special antidote formula that he has helped create with elite four, thomas benoit's sludge sample.[break][break][break]

here, in the basement of a slateport prison, where jules cotillard is imprisoned, weezing have swarmed in. they have affected by a overflow of sewage... attempt to clean up the poison, cure the pokemon with lucas lane's antidote, and defend against their attacks.[break][break][break]

Remiel sent out Earl Grey to combat the Weezing descending upon them. The situation was ghastly. There was noxious gas everywhere. "Ugh."[break][break]

After nearly dying of poison a week before, Earl Grey himself was pretty worried. Despite that, however, the little teacup fought back and defended his master with a flurry of SHADOW BALLS. This served to fend off plenty of the gas guzzlers while the others got to work.[break][break]

Remiel, in the meantime, explored the lower depths of the prison to ensure everyone had evacuated the immediate area. His passage was soon blocked by thick black sludge and pungent sewage. He could not reach the closet afar, at the end of the hallway.[break][break]

Fernando relays his order to his Pokemon as they set into formation. Slateport prison isn't the most esteemed area to be operating in but there's little choice in the matter. In the same manner that the smell of sewage surfaces from the ruptured piping, a MISTY SURGE emanates from the entrance, flowing from both his Tapu Fini as well as himself.

With their advance, the pink seeps into the haze of purple fumes, providing them quarter to advance.

This place was filthy, sludge, sewage, and smog-filled the whole area. It was, quite frankly, absolutely disgusting in every way possible. Why anyone liked Poison-type pokemon when this was the mess that followed them was beyond her, but she wasn't here to worry about that. She was here to assist and heal any wounds that might occur. Luckily, she was quite prepared for that sort of endeavor.

"Here," Ruby said from behind a simple mask, passing out a few others assisting in the endeavor. The less of these horrific fumes they breathed in the better. Even then, she was certainly going to make sure to get a proper bath later. And maybe visit a laundromat too. This stench wasn't going to get out of her clothes, she was sure of it.

Regardless, Grace the Gardevoir seemed to be holding herself together rather well. Of course, she didn't have to walk in the sludge, floating slightly above the ground. With Earl Grey's valiant strikes against the Weezings infesting the place, the Gardevoir followed up with a Life Dew. Gracefully twirling like her namesake, the healing water flung in every direction, locking onto allied trainers and their pokemon, hopefully keeping them in top shape.

Adrian showed up to the Slateport jail after hearing it as breaking news on the radio. The recurring attacks by wild pokemon rendered intrepid by an esoteric substance, poisoning the region's waters and indigenous species, had now begun to move inland. Earlier that week, Mauville had fallen victim to an incursion of its own. Now Slateport was.

His car's wheels squealed against the asphalt as he burned rubber to the prison before anything could happen to disrupt the city's essential services.

After bandoning his car without even parking, he sprints into the building and towards the basement, hearing the skirmishes breaking out down below alongside the cacophony of inmates hollering to be let loose before the gas can claim them. As Adrian delves deeper, he comes across a familiar face, one whom had gifted him with an abomination in the past. So he's here, huh...

As he descended the last staircase into the basement, his vision was obscured by a haze with an acrid smell. On impulse he sent out his Weezing, Miasma, to escort him further below.

Its NEUTRALIZING GAS saturated the air, overwhelming the noxious fumes hanging in the room long enough for him to descend below.

The enemy were many, but so were the allies that had already breached the lower belly of the building, quashing the rampant Weezing. Adrian held back for two reasons: Firstly, the trainers gathered would see any Weezing as an immediate threat; he doubted many would be able to resist the impulse to attack his own on sight. Secondly, Miasma could hardly offer much aid. It may even catastrophically escalate the situation if it were to explode here, where the air was rich with gas...

"Stay here," he ordered Miasma as he rushed back out of the room that played stage to the altercation, rummaging through the store rooms nearby, pilfering anything of use. Yet he'd found next to nothing, but as he wandered around, he noticed a room with the door left ajar. Once he pushed through carefully, he saw signs of a forced entry, and noticed a locker with its door blown off.

Inside was a belt like his, but it was missing the pokeballs that should've been attached to its fixtures. Was this... some sort of diversion?

Perhaps it wasn't even related to the recent attacks. Adrian kept searching, looking for anything that might be of use: tools, personnel, clues... But in the end he found nothing. Nada.

the golduck comes with kyle as he assesses the new problem arising. multiple sightings have happened, although no answer has been provided just yet. all he could do was try to fix the problems as they go.

clear smog from the golduck fills the area, replacing the actual poisonous fog from the weezing into something more sustainable. alongside everyone else's pokemon fixing the pollution, they eventually neutralize the area from toxins.

as his pokemon does work, kyle approaches the closet. with his phone stuck on his ear, he makes a quick inventory of the place. "yeah, they're not here anymore," kyle affirms from his phone to the other line.

a trend is starting to form with the recent sightings. kyle is the type not that likes to make assumptions however, even when everything is clear. there's reluctance to make the conclusion himself, that's why he's giving the report of his findings to someone else.
