LATE SEPTEMBER — as ultra wormholes are sighted in the seas of hoenn, the region begins to be tainted by poisons, the source of which is unknown. parts of hoenn's seas darken with toxic waste, like oil spills. for this reason, head scientist, lucas lane, has entrusted volunteers with a special antidote formula that he has helped create with elite four, thomas benoit's sludge sample.[break][break][break]

a swarm of rabid galarian slowbro have taken over a city street. using their shellder-bitten arms, they fire poison as if they're paint-balling the walls or conducting a shoot out. chase them out of petalburg city before someone gets hurt.[break][break][break]

kyle wields his remoraid like a pistol and points it at the opposition. there's something nostalgic with the way this works, reminiscent of shooter games he played before. nowadays, shootouts were more about pokemon than weapons.

he supposed this wasn't that much different, however.

he fires off octazooka from his remoraid, headshotting one slowbro after other from cover. aiming is easy with the remoraid's movepool, and it felt like he was playing with cheat codes.

The more he was learning about regional variants of pokemon the more he was disliking them. Why did so many of them turn in to weird types, such as the Galarian Slowbro that were currently attacking. Honestly he was getting tired of all of these attacks but Razz wasn't going to allow himself to stop. He got through the summer and he could get through this too so long as he switched between his pokemon he felt they could keep up. Now it was Sage's turn. [break][break]

Which thanks to his BULLETPROOF body meant most of the attacks the megaman like Slowbro were doing were bouncing off him as if they were nothing. The grass type moving between putting himself between civilians to protect them and using ROLLOUT to smash into them and help drive them off.

petalburg drips in the galarian slowbro's poisonous sludge. dominic regards the noxious waste and the pokemon that spread it with a long, if very slightly bemused gaze. the fact is, the developments over the past days had been only mounting in absurdity.

it's no matter; dominic resolves to remove the problem and leave figuring out the reason to someone else. his nidoking typically has little to fear from poison, but this time dominic can swear that what the galarian slowbro's expel isn't the same type of toxin that harmlessly drips off the nikoking's body. he opts to steer clear, suspicious.

"nidoking, FOCUS BLAST," dominic says, pointing out at small gathered clump of galarian slowbro's intending for the ensuring ball of concentrated energy to simply knock them out of the city as though it were a bowling ball and the crazed pokemon mere pins.

[attr="class","spiral"] No cover proves sufficient for the onslaught of SLUDGE BOMBS and SIDE SHELL ARMS. It’s not so much the impact of the attack so much as the acidic properties of the poison. Their potency melts through wood, dry wall, and even steel on occasion. Fernando’s only way to fight back is through his own artillery methods.

A BEAK BLAST breaks through the volley with ease. It’s incredible heat evaporates any intercepted attacks and nails a Slowbro right on the chest — always aim for the center of mass. Unlike the glamorous poses that other trainers prefer to grandstand with by wielding the Pokemon as a real weapon, Fernando allows the avian full reign to put its wings to use and reposition itself accordingly.

olivia was flying overhead petalburg, out of sight from those below with the cloud cover - but there was some kind of commotion that caught her attention. with a swarm of combee obscuring vision of the former queen, olivia flew in closer a top her vespiqueen. sludge? more pollution?

she would not allow it. from the heavens a thunderous BZZZ swept over the field as the two queens coordinated a timely attack of air slash swept over the town to send the sludge back towards its origins.
