He's been the baby since the start and for some reason he's just never gotten any bigger or stronger; but he still walks out onto this stage like he's the biggest guy in the world. Why? Because Lillian asked him to go do a job and he's gonna prove he can do it! He's gonna prove he's dependable!

He enters from the left side of the stage ready to play his part. He plants himself in the middle of that little raised bit of wood and waits for a kid to walk up and gently water him. The droplets of water are uncomfortable, but thankfully he's supposed to shiver here.

The kid fakes alarm in that awful, hammy way children do as Bonsly squeaks up at him. Then he's picked up and carried away to a different part of the stage where they drop him in a pot. He really has no idea what the story for the book is, but he plays dead at the end -- some moral about leaving nature as it is, where you find it.

Some kids cry, but Bonsly is pretty sure that's the intended effect.

Wilhelm the Tyrogue was to play the bully in act one. Since he was naturally a rather muscular baby, and very athletic, the humans directing the play found the role rather fitting. On top of that, he could do his own stunts![break][break]

Without knowing whether or not his master, Remiel Calcifet, was in the audience watching, Wilhelm decided to act his heart out. The scene involved a lot of pushing and shoving. Apparently, the character he played was dealing with a lot of traumatic issues. But, outwardly, it simply seemed like he was jealous that the main character, a Togepi, had so much friends.[break][break]

When the Togepi’s friends came to its rescue, there was a lot of acrobatics and fake fighting involved. But, eventually, the group prevailed and his character was left to soak in the mud to regret being such an aggressive sort. After the curtains fell for act one, Wilhelm went back to being his usual cheery self and was even rewarded a nice protein bar for his acting![break]

After all the commotion with the "War" Jūken was happy to have Sénon back. He said he didn't want to risk the Riolu's life fighting in such serious battles but it was his job to keep his trainer safe, wasn't it?

After the last time where he wore sneakers for that "commercial" the little riolu was getting used to doing "sidejobs" at his trainer's behest.

"War", "Commercial", "Sidejobs".

They were words Jūken couldn't really understand. He knew fighting and he Sénon.

Being as young and innocent as he was he also know 'Pretending'.

He wore a rob and carried a paper torch with a fire inside of it also made of paper. Playing the role of the first of the three wise-ones Jūken was supposed to stop the ghosts from chasing togepi and jump behind the wagon to signal the stage-hands to trigger the 'explosion' as he helped Togepi escape. Sénon said "It's not a big role but its a memorable one and I'll be recording the whole thing so don't be nervous and do your best!"

He scratched the spot behind Jūken's ears and with that favorite petting initiated the little Aura Pokémon wouldn't hold back he would do his best and make sure Togepi was safe!

the riolu fits on the costume, mostly to differentiate one riolu from the rest. it looks nice at the very least, and doesn't look as shoddy as one would expect an extra to wear in comparison to the main character.

foresight allows the riolu to anticipate every move that he needs to make for one particular scene that needs action. the stares of the children watching makes the riolu nervous, although it's quick to ignore them if it concentrates on its task more.

while the rest knows what role they fulfill, the riolu simply was a copycat to the next riolu that it shares its role with. every action is repeated since his role doesn't really require much from him, which is to be expected for a children's play.

Byte wasn't the best actor, but nobody could deny that they were absolutely cute as a button. Playing the main character's brand new friend, he was quite a main character! The contrast between a poison type and the fairy type pokemon being good friends was definitely innovative! Teaching children not to judge a book by its cover.

Regardless, the Toxel was happy to just follow along, bouncing along on his cute little legs, tail wagging, Byte followed alone with the signature Togepi. At one point, he even got to growl at someone who was being mean to his new friend! What an absolutely delightful time. Granted, he didn't entirely know why he was growing. But he was told to growl so that was exactly what he did!

This was his shot at fame, his shot at one day, some day, becoming a famous actor. Imagine it, the name 'Raichu' plastered all over billboards across Hoenn. Him, with a golden cape and a golden crown and a golden scepter, the literal king of kings. That would be quite the sight.[break][break]

But for now, he would settle for being the extra in the background of a fairy-tale story. There are older, bolder baby Pokemon who, unfortunately, are much more experienced. Or maybe he had been too eager and too rowdy. Regardless, he's the designated tree of the performance, hanging out in the back and getting no spotlight whatsoever.[break][break]

But one day, one day for sure, he would be famous.[break][break]

Toxel's role is as a jealous onlooker, an outsider who saw the other Toxel's friendship with their lead as a sign that he was somehow less worthy. He took those emotions out on the other Pokemon, teaming up with the Tyrogue as one of its bully friends.[break][break]

Because this was a play for kids, meant to teach them valuable moral lessons, Toxel would later be accepted into the friend group of the forgiving lead. He would learn the error of his ways; had he simply asked to hang out with the Pokemon he admired so much, they'd have been more than happy to bring him into the fold! It was a heartwarming ending.[break][break]

For his part, Toxel understands none of the nuances... nor does he care. He'd been promised free snacks if he participated, and so here he was.

Oh, uhm, uhhh.. why was he being pushed on to a stage? The Munchlax stood there for a moment, scratching his head as scanned the audience. How did he end up here? Munchlax was drawing a blank until the memory hit him like a freight train. A vivid picture of his trainer reading him a script flashed across his mind’s eye. Only he had - kinda, sorta - ate the paper the script was printed on. They had gone over the script once before it’s untimely demise.

However, he spent the entire time staring at the paper, drooling as if a five course meal was in front of him. Unable to find a second script, his trainer had asked if he remembered what she had read. The role was anything major but.. Yeah, he had completely forgotten it. To be honest, he had never even paid attention to a single word of it before tumbling on stage. The Munchlax looked nervous as he looked around. So many eyes were on him, his fellow Pokémon waiting, and he hadn’t a clue what to do.

Perhaps food would help him remember? Yes- food helped any situation. And, lucky for him, there was a berry tree planted on stage. Unfortunately, he only realized it was cardboard when half of the cardboard had been consumed. Well.. he might as well finish it, right?

Somewhere in the audience, an audible facepalm could be heard. Why did I trust him with this?
