IN OCTOBER — the aftermath of the war is spent rejuvenating the region. pokemon and trainers are hard at work, repairing natural landscapes, while clearing fields and mountains of macabre remnants. still, pools of poison remain where naganadel and poipole have fallen... until they are cleaned, poor unsuspecting wildlife may find themselves within these toxic traps, forcing them to become aggressive and hostile.[break][break][break]

a mariachi of ludicolo have been spotted by a forest creek. they seem incredibly sad or ill- and upon further inspection, one can see poison having contaminated their rain dishes. league rangers have enlisted the help of several trainers to help clean their intoxicated waters. the rangers have suggested the use of SUNNY DAY and DROUGHT to evaporate the poisoned pools before refilling it with pure water.[break][break][break]

Ruby sighed softly as she overlooked the area around them. Life was beautiful, in so many ways... From the wind blowing through the trees to clouds floating up above. Nature would continue, nature would eventually thrive once more. Nothing said they couldn't help give it a helping hand along? You have to take care of the earth, the only one they have after all.

Standing with her signature Gardevoir, Grace floated a few inches off the ground as they waited for the pools of poison to be dried up. "You know," Ruby began, turning to look up at her Gardevoir and hold their hand. "When you first learned Life Dew, I never imagined it being so useful. But I'm proud, you know. I've already lost track of all the people and pokemon we've healed together."

The blue Gardevoir practically blushed, smiling with a wide grin as she suddenly began to twirl. Floating up higher into the air, the healing waters flowed around them as they suddenly flung it towards the Ludicolo who needed the patching up. With a smile herself, Ruby waved Grace back down to the ground. "Let's go find more things to help with, alright?"

Once the heat that had been summoned by other trainers passed, evaporating the toxins within the rain dishes that adorned the Ludicolo's heads, Remiel sent Curie forth to do the rest. Though weary and sluggish without water, the large buffoons brightened at the sight of the gooey dragon. She smiled at them happily, reassuring them of what was to come.[break][break]

A drizzle was nice... but a rainstorm was even better. So she placed herself at the center of the mariachi and began to dance, wiggling and jiggling her curvaceous body around as they sang and danced themselves. Before long, the clouds above them darkened and rain began to fall in earnest. Her RAIN DANCE had been successful. And their leaf dishes quickly filled up with fresh water.[break]

[attr="class","spiral"]The call for help is early even by Lillian's standards, but it's hard to tell that where they've gathered to help the poisoned Ludicolo. Multiple trainers using SUNNY DAY fill the barely dawn-lit landscape with light. While she nurses a coffee her Growlithe jumps from one Ludicolo to the next, happily repeating its recently learned move.

"Hey! Heel!" she calls to it and it (somewhat reluctantly) walks up to her side before sitting down in the grass beside her. It stares up at her for a few minutes while she sips her coffee.

"Okay, go," Lillian lets it run about again once she believes it's proven its patience well enough. It instantly begins running to places the light has begun to dim and refreshing the SUNNY DAY there. It's not the cleanest assist she's offered the League in these trying times, but if they wanted her best they would have given her a few more hours of sleep.

Adrian wasn't really sure the plan would work, but he was game to give it a shot. Flying to Route 103 on dragon wing, he'd eventually come across the afflicted swarm of Ludicolo they were after.

From above it was difficult to tell, but the League had ordered the patrol, so he wasn't going to question it any further. Besides, what'd he know about Ludicolo? He'd never seen one before in person, as far as he could even recall.

"Alright Dread, let's do what we came out here for." By the time he'd arrived, many of the trainers were already calling upon the sunny weather, which lended itself to Charizard's SOLAR POWER, increasing its heat output. But that wasn't the half of it as Adrian brandished a keystone, engulfing the pokemon in radiant splendor that rivalled the light of Sol itself...

Its overwhelming DROUGHT began to evaporate the route's ambient moisture along with the Ludicolo's tainted water, spiking the humidity.

Yuck.

Who knew that having a Pelipper would come in handy?!

To be fair though this was another Pelipper... which Alexei also named Mike. He had reasons for sticking with the name trend.

Either way...

"Oh, wow. What a mess..." he grumbled as he saw the noxious pools and the bunch of Ludicolo, dancing no more. Well, time to change that.

"Mike. Go."

A Pelipper came flying forward, bringing down all hellish manner of rain as its DRIZZLE ability activated.

Well Alexei was now absolutely soaked but... hey, good work, right?
