It made no sense that the gym leader sent him here to work. Tynan wasn’t the best suited for this job that required movement. He was a lazy rat, didn’t really like to do anything but sleep all day. Not even the alolan raticate understood why he was forced out of his comfy home in his exhibit to work for the loyal police in slateport city’s lower district. The creature huffed as he followed the group of officers trying to locate some criminals that sold valuable items from a local jewelry store. A police dog sniffed about appeared to be an abandoned warhorse sealed up. It barked, indicating there was something in there. The officer banged on the door, yelling “open up, police”.

It was at that moment, the sounds of hushed voice was heard.

The officered forced the door open and command their group to attack the bandits that scrambled to get away. Tynan was probably the slowest of them, casually walking in as he eyed the fleeing humans. In the distance corner, he spotted a scrawny human cowering in the corner as chaos took over. The dark raticate charged up the frightened human using PURSUIT to get in close before anyone else did and before the human could run. He held the human in the corner as he screamed, waiting for the human’s on his side to tie him up. He would pick the easiest target that didn’t require much effort to capture.

He didn’t have time to rest!

After helping out in the Safari Zone, Owain’s services were needed once more—this time in the downtown section of Slateport. Seeing that the move ‘Pursuit’ seemed to be in high demand, Lars knew where to ship off his Treecko next.

Now that the Grass-type was here, it was time to get to work.

Seeing that there were people and Pokémon trying to make a run for it, the young, courageous Treecko stepped forward, quickly employing its Pursuit move in order to ensure that nobody was going to get away.

Not today, heathens!

A terrifying beast of legend had been sent to scour the streets of the neighborhood in search of the runaway bandits. Like a shaggy and unrelenting Pac-Man, Remiel's Crabominable skittered down block-from-block on its four pointed legs. It took sharp turns into alleyways, parking lots, parks, and even abandoned warehouses in search of its targets. It only ever stopped to take a careful look at something, or shove a dumpster away to see if anyone was hiding inside or behind it.[break][break]

When it finally found one of the culprits that had so desperately attempted to evade her, the Crabominable would unleash an unsettling and ear-piercing howl of all things. The massive pincers it had been holding up in the air this entire time would descend, wildly swinging themselves up and down as it engaged in its PURSUIT. Once struck by these dumbbell-like pincers, its targets wouldn't wake up for some time.[break][break]

And, when they finally did, they would wake up handcuffed to an infirmary bed.[break]

The Decidueye has no intention to chase after its targets.

It knows its mission, and it recognizes the easiest way to accomplish it. And it is for that reason that the ghost-type wastes no time in creating one of its signature, spectral arrows. Afterward, it simply draws its bow back and allows its creation to soar through the air.

It pierces the shadow of a culprit, shackling them down. The lack of cuffs doesn’t change the fact that they can no longer escape or even call out for a pokemon to teleport them out of here.

The rest, however, is left for the cops to handle.

PURSUING JUSTICE

Many Pokemon lacked the facial versatility that humans had, but Arran had always felt that he was quite expressive. His round, shiny eyes, shaded dramatically by his flat-brimmed red cap, were as serious and grim as a seasoned police veteran as he gazed into the horrified face of the criminal. HIs sublime mustache fanned softly as his natural magnetism fluxed, subtly rearranging the iron filaments in place. Today, he was not a beast of burden, a glorified wheelchair. Today, he was an officer of the law.

The criminal might not have seen the same noble visage Arran imagined himself having, but he certainly gathered the Probopass' intent. He bolted, running for a door at the end of the hallway, but then stopped dead in its tracks as a small, beaky-nosed appendage zipped across to cut him off. It was one of Arran's Mini-Noses, and it stationed itself in front of the door with a warning hum.

His way obstructed by Arran's BLOCK, the criminal turned and tried to flee down a second corridor only to have a second Mini-Nose cut off his attempt. He looked around, stalling. Drifting like inevitable justice, the Probopass' main body was coming up behind him, mustache quivering in anticipation.

Desperate, the human dove through a side door into the men's restroom, perhaps thinking that Arran's large, solid body wouldn't be able to fit through the frame. But as he tried to shut himself in one of the handicapped stalls, the last Mini-Nose rose from the toilet bowl, water dripping harmlessly off its steel beak.

There was no escaping justice, Arran thought as the human police arrived on the scene to arrest the felon. <PROOOOOO> he hummed in satisfaction, watching them drag the unfortunate man all the way back down the hall with his beady Probopass eyes.

It was a busy day for Slateport. The city's police force was cracking down on known hooligans, and needed help taking them into custody. Oscar was more than happy to provide aid for the effort, after all the less unaffiliated goons in Rocket's territory the better. He sent his Decidueye, Babayaga, to accomplish the task. The ghostly owl hunter was all too happy to participate.

Babayaga's unnatural aim came in rather handy during the day's pursuits. Every time a perpetrator ran he would use Spirit Shackle to clamp down on their shadow and stick them in place. These criminals and hoodlums were amateurs, easy to pick off as they let panic overwhelm their senses.

It was very nearly unenjoyable for the owl, thanks to how easy it all was. However the sheer number of targets fended off his boredom, keeping him entertained throughout the task.

"Fire Spin."

His tone was calm, perhaps a bit cold. But it was an order heard loud and clear as the fleeing one found themselves surrounded by a circle of flames. That stopped them in their tracks. Josh walked with his arms behind his head, indicating the other party might as well do the same. It was another day's work, really. He hadn't been in this line of work full time in a long time, but... It felt right.

Before long, it would become as it once was. Josh motioned for his Infernape to keep the Fire Spin going as he advanced.

Ah the night how he enjoyed this time of day. It brought out the superstitious and cowardly lot who thought that they could easily get away with their petty little schemes. Well unlucky for said criminals Link was sent on the case, and of course being a pokemon of a Ranger this Decidueye planned on performing..... in style. [break][break]

Catching a criminal with a single shot of an arrow would be too easy, boring even. No with the cases he helped with Link would be sure to make their choice of crime the worst choice they made. Sticking to the darkness as so his feathers would blend in as one by one he would take out their pokemon, and their partners after. Where would they go? Link would make them wonder as with a combination of PHANTOM FORCE to appear and disappear as he would take them out. Even make them disappear with him before he would stick them to walls with his arrows. [break][break]

It would only be after Link as made them fear would he finish the job with SPIRIT SHACKLE. Some of the officers didn't seem to approve of his ways though and Link may or may have not heard one making a note to complain to his trainer later about the decidueye's style but Link knew his trainer would be on his side of this. Besides not like that was going to stop him.
