And no, it wasn’t throwing shade, it was observant criticism about the older man’s technique!

Doug was dragged back into the beach by the waves, the imprint of his face dragged across the sand as he lay there whilst twitching, his Mantine joining him shortly after.

"A... Again..." The boy mumbled as he pushed himself back up-

-and slapped himself in the face twice with both hands, shaking the water out of his ears before frowning at the sea.

"I AIN'T DONE WITH YOU YET!" He shouted as he grabbed onto his Mantine and began dragging the protesting pokemon back into the water.
