On the far side of Minor League Director dahlia goode 's Minor League Gym HQ at Trainer Hill, beyond an overgrown Pokémon racetrack not used for months, is a maintenance building that appears to be in disrepair from the outside. Down its stairs is a dark corridor with a creaky, metal door at its end. Beyond the door is a black curtain with a large glow-in-the-dark, white, blue, and yellow decal of the legendary Pokémon Raikou depicted as though it were charging directly at the person who opened the door. The decal is in-one's-face, and would be akin to the last image a person would ever see before the Beast made its kill.

SECRET BASE GUARDIAN: Beyond the curtain, a snarling, shiny Luxray stood at the center of a mostly-unfinished basement around ten feet tall, lit by fluorescent light bulbs powered by the same generator servicing the Minor League Gym HQ as a remnant of when now-Mauville Gym Leader Josh Devlin was in the Minor League himself. Large backup batteries hidden behind the walls, routinely charged by many of Josh's electric Pokémon, provided power to the space when outside of the Minor League's operating hours.

DECORATIONS: The floor was split in three: the center third was carpeted with a yellow-and-purple color scheme, and the outer two thirds covered in black-and-white tile laid in a checkerboard pattern. On the left was a trophy case showing all of Josh's accomplishments as a Pokémon racer. There were many Great Class and Ultra Class trophies there, the most prominently displayed being his Ultra Class Victory at the Sonic Dive course above Meteor Falls.

Above the carpeted middle was a shelf containing a ludicrous amount of Raikou memorabilia: trading cards, figurines, plush, and the like. In front of it was a Ride-On plush of the legendary Pokémon Raikou, between four and five feet tall, with the most vicious yet adorable face imaginable. There were even reins attached to it that were clearly not part of the original plush. Clearly when the kid became a Gym Leader, he had also become quite moneyed, as it looked like the item had cost a small fortune.

The right had an entertainment center with a large monitor in the middle, connected to what appeared to be a home Step Step Revolution setup. Two metal, four-panel dance pads, each with a regulation-sized metal rail behind them, were a few feet away from the widescreen monitor. There was also a tower fan on each side, blowing toward the pads to keep players cool while they played. 

TRAPS: Hidden in the shadow of the trophy case was a purple-and-blue decoy flag intended to fool those who didn't know Josh or hadn't visited Mauville Gym. The real flag, a yellow-and-purple one, was planted in the shadow of the entertainment center, well-hidden between its pieces. It would be almost impossible to notice without either:

1) Approaching the Step Step Revolution setup to play a set of songs, or
2) Sitting astride the Ride-On Raikou plush, which would let one barely see the yellow banner on the side of the flag.
