Thunder crashed down, its aim unerring in the face of Zephyrus' storm. The purple-crowned Grafaiai's fur stood up on end in the face of the direct hit. Shaken, yet not felled, it vaulted behind a nearby tree. Before Zephyrus could give chase, he was cut off by a piercing screech. Grafaiai after Grafaiai came pouring out of the treeline, their Acid Spray assailing it on all sides.[break][break]

As the poor Dragonite tried to defend itself, unlikely aid came in the clutch. A Frenzy Plant rose up from around it, shielding it on all sides from the assault. Out from the trees came Ceres, Grafaiai crawling all over the Torterra's shell. She may have been having a hard time here, but that wouldn't stop her from coming to her dear companion's side.[break][break]

Her offering was rewarded. Drifting along the spring breeze, Dandori descended, clearing the interlopers off of her back with the resounding crack of a Seed Flare. As they were sent away, he perched atop the Torterra's tree, making sure the whole forest knew that she and Zephyrus were under his protection.[break][break]

It was a mighty fighting force indeed. Yet would it be enough to fight through an infested forest?[break][break]

Powerful blasts of energy sent Grafaiai flying, but for each that was knocked aside three more came scuttling out. The treeline was covered in hidden streaks of paint, trapping or singing any Pokemon that failed to tread carefully. At times, the purple-crowned Grafaiai resurfaced, dealing hefty blows against Dandori or Ceres with massive poisoned Terra Blasts.[break][break]

Fatigue began to catch up to the trio. As they stopped to lick their wounds, they heard an earth-shaking thud behind them. Then another. Then another. Trees fell, piece by piece, surrounding them like the world's most haphazard log cabin. There, perched atop the last log that fell, was the head honcho. He didn't need to trap them for good. He just needed them held up long enough to let his biggest, baddest Tera Blast yet rain down on them. As the purple sphere gathered atop his elongated finger, his laughter echoed through the forest.[break][break]

Before he could drop it, with all the casualness of a finger flick, the Light of Destruction sent him flying into the distance.[break][break]

"Talk about right in the nick of time, eh Sectonia?" As his Vespiquen flew off, using her Attack Order to tend to the poor, trapped insects along the treeline, Isaac strode out with a confident grin on his face. "Now, how are we gonna get these guys out of here-"[break][break]

His question was answered by the trees themselves. One by one, they swung back on their broken hinges, slowly but surely digging Isaac's team out from their trap. Curious, Isaac tested one with his heel. Rock solid. Not even a sign it had once been broken. Zephyrus' eyes widened in shock. Ceres' jaw fell slack. Dandori, too excited to care, flew a quick lap around one of the trees.[break][break]

Isaac didn't follow their eyes as they watched the spectacle. Instead, he looked beyond the horizon, noting a green glow in the distance.[break][break]

"Shoulda figured you were still hanging around here." The only sound that greeted him was mirthful laughter, as clear as tingling bells. He couldn't see the other figure, but he knew them with the intimacy of a man who had bared his darkest secrets while at his lowest point. He knew, as the two guardians of the Petalburg Woods, they had become two sides of the same coin.[break][break]

He knew Celebi was smiling.

Tempest has a whole gaggle of water type pokemon. It was his specialty, after all. So, he's not shy about unloading a few and having them Hydro Pump the stained trees and bushes. The stick poison and ink washes away. But, it still make him frown as his pokemon work.[break][break]

"Yeah. I feel kind of woozy again, too. You don't think this stuff is messing with us, do you?"[break][break]

He'd field the question to Amor Rose and maybe keep howard slayte up to date as well. Probably also ask Makoto Kurumi how they were feeling. Needed to keep his Nebula comrades up to date.

Thomas looked around to find the many Pokemon stuck to trees. And the Grafaiai responsible for the attack.

His priority was dispelling the sticky substance binding the poor Pokemon to the trees.

"Hotsuma, Hydro Pump!", Thomas ordered.

The Greninja began to spray a torrent of water at the affected areas. Thomas could only hope that the water allowed the stuck Pokemon to get free, and get out of dodge.
