THE GAUNTLET [attr="class","omgenmid"] MEMBER EVENT - ROCKET PVP BATTLE ROYALE MEGATHREAD PARTICIPANTS ONLY [player]https://file.garden/ZWyHNtDjIhZcqtBS/HOENN-Music/Giuseppe-Verdi-Requiem-Dies-Irae.mp3[/player] 🎼 "Requiem Dies Irae" - Giuseppe Verdi | Battle Royale OST [break] THE SEMI-FINAL
AS SOON AS THE THIRD ROUND BEGINS, a burst of light fills the arena, originating from kepler brueshaber's GYARADOS. When the light fades, its MEGA EVOLVED form looms over the battlefield, an ominous herald of the storms of its creation. Indeed, as soon as it reveals itself, it summons a WHIRLPOOL within the central pond and a HURRICANE above. [break][break]
Not to be outdone, Fenelle Miller orders her HISUIAN GOODRA to turn the HURRICANE into a deadly ICE SPINNER. Still acting as their ally, Gerald Kaiser's IRON MOTH transforms the battlefield into a greater hazard with ELECTRIC TERRAIN. [break][break]
Shards of ice shoot through the air, flung by gale-force winds. They clip kepler brueshaber's MEGA GYARADOS but are not enough to deter the great beast from launching its attacks. HYDRO PUMP turns Gerald Kaiser's IRON MOTH'S FIERY DANCE into steam. ICE FANG brings MEGA GYARADOS close to Fenelle Miller's HISUIAN GOODRA, giving the latter an opening for two well-aimed MUD SHOTs. [break][break]
Out of nowhere comes Kazuya Yoshida's RAGING BOLT, unleashing a THUNDER upon MEGA GYARADOS. The attack, combined with BUG BUZZ from Gerald Kaiser's IRON MOTH, pushes the serpent back. The tide seems to turn, but a second ICE SPINNER from Fenelle Miller's HISUIAN GOODRA nullifies the ELECTRIC TERRAIN, and the storm ravaging the arena intensifies as two HURRICANES clashed in its center. [break][break]
In the chaos, targets shift. Kazuya Yoshida directs his RAGING BOLT to turn upon Gerald Kaiser's IRON MOTH. The former wails upon the latter with attack after attack, leaving the Paradox Pokémon little room to do anything but block. A HYDRO PUMP from the recovered MEGA GYARADOS knocks out IRON MOTH at last, while the burns inflicted by RAGING BOLT bring it low. [break][break]
Fenelle Miller's HISUIAN GOODRA stands alone against kepler brueshaber's MEGA GYARADOS. As fangs CRUNCH upon its shell, the ancient dragon endures with BIDE, before finally unleashing its stored power to end the fight.
END OF THE ROUND Once again, an alarm blares and the lights of the arena turn red, while the screen beneath the observation deck reads, "STOP." jayden cross's voice crackles over the loudspeaker. [break][break]
[break]
For the third time, the door opens in the wall, allowing the two men to exit. It closes without a sound. [break][break]
[break]
This time, the arena does not shake and crumble. All is silent as the remaining participants collect themselves and wait for the signal. [break][break]
The now-familiar bell chimes again and the lights return to their normal, yellow-white color. The screen says, "BEGIN." [break][break]
REMINDER: THIS EVENT ICLY TAKES PLACE IN MAY, AFTER PRISMATIC PENITENTIARY.
