he already managed to get kingship, but somehow, the option to pull it remains. it was already a habit that he still returns in an attempt to pull it out for the twenty-third time.

kyle walks up to the sword and stares at it. multiple players have also tried and failed the rng roll, and he's about to do it twice in a row. his hand holds the hilt of the sword, watching the ribbon wrap around his arm.

"here goes," he mutters to himself, hyping him up before he readies himself to reappear at the spawn.

his hand grips the handle of the sword before he attempts to pull it out.

Here he went again...To try, and pull this stupid sword out of the stone, whether he would be successful or not he didn't know, but all he had to do was keep trying everyday. After all if there was something he could get to make his time in this game more enjoyable why not do it? Stepping up on the platform, and planting his feet he was aware of the crowd that had gathered. More people who were waiting to test their luck, or who had already tested it. At this point, Rikiya was in the area just to taunt those who were still in pursuit of the sword, those who were in his kingdom. He had been the second player to get the sword, before the requirements to pull it were eased. After that, one player had managed to pull the sword. Still, he managed to get it under the hardest conditions, and he was not a n00b with a skinny wiener.

Now he had to come up with ways to fuck with everyone queued to pull the sword.

Another day of watching people pull the sword out of the stone, only to die and be unsuccessful. The demon couldn't help but wonder if these people were truly unworthy of having the power, or if the sword was just cruel to just about anyone who had tried to take it's power. After all, it did take the Demon several tries before the sword would let him claim that power. However, what mattered was that he was finally able to claim it. [break][break]

So somebody had managed to pull the sword out of the stone then? At least, the rumors that were abound said as much. The reward for doing so, on the other hand, remained hazy. Some claimed it was unlimited power. Others said they were granted immunity. And some even claimed the reward was a share of stock in the game's company. But Remiel doubted that. Especially the last.

No, surely, it was some sort of digital boon that would neither break the game nor enrage the player who had insisted on attempting this endeavor. Seeing as how the challenge persisted, however, it was clear it was something that could be repeated... at least, to a certain extent, he was sure. Deciding he would find out for himself, the black knight returned to the stone.

He gripped the all too familiar handle once more... then he gave it a strong pull just as its cloth wrapped around.

so close.

and yet, so far.

despite the anger that fueled katherine in her last attempt - the sword refused to budge. or rather... it did, but not enough to break free from the hilt. it was as if she was being teased. shown what she could have, what could be hers... just before it's taken away before her every eyes. annoying. extremely so. to the point that playing b&b was reconsidered by the mage each time she logged on and was reminded of this quest.

however, today was a new day.
and with it came a new try.
