Route 101 was usually such a great place for a picnic. But certainly not today. Atlan had been on a date with a young woman from the local Pokémart when one of the Blaziken running around suddenly crashed through their otherwise pleasant lunch. Still, it wasn't Atlan or the lady who were ticked off by the act— it was the Morpeko that had been mooching off of them up until that point, enjoying a tasty morsel of food every now and again.

Food the big chicken had stepped on.

With a rage rivaling BLANKA'S from the Street Fighter series, the little mouse transformed into a darker and far more vengeful version of its normal self. Before Atlan could say anything to stop it from facing its larger opponent, it revved up an Aura Wheel and shot off in a blaze of angry squeaks. The only thing the trainer could do, really, was ready an empty ball and try to catch the Blaziken to stifle the situation before it got out of hand.

Power comes in many forms. Strength, speed, endurance. Fernando does not restrain himself into only accept physical attributes. Any field of excellence can be power. Intelligence, wealth, beauty, anything that can be capitalized on and improved relative to the population. His own power cannot be simplified into a single identifier. It grows with his influence and today he looks to consolidate that even further with another addition to his party.

These Blaziken call his area their home, however temporary, and see no vice in their idleness. His own Blaziken disagrees and looks to correct this wrong. In a challenge of strength, it combs through its own species, one by one, allowing his trainer to lay claim to all those fall before its scornful talons.

Isra stares at the picture in her hand, shoved into place by a kid running around handing things out to promote some local artist trying to sell their work. It is held out in front of her as she makes her way out of Littleroot. The name of the character is apparently Sophitia and it makes her tilt her head in curiosity. Isra knows nothing of the game the character comes from or anything else about them. Something tells her it is better off left that way.

The picture is folded neatly and tucked into her bag where it will eventually be thrown away when found again. No longer of any real use. Or perhaps it will find its way to being tucked away on a shelf that no one but her will look at for many a day or more.

It matters little, the growing hoard of pokemon she has stumbled upon is of much greater interest and Isra finds herself treading closer and closer to the pack. She wonders if perhaps the pokemon may be a good partner for the Galarian bird she has back home, a troublesome thing that seeks her out to spar on a near constant basis. She plucks a pookeball from her bag and tosses it.

The man with the lavish lavander hair, the body of a Jin Kazama, and a humor of an eighteen-year-old lad sauntered through the grassy terrain of Route 101. He rarely frequented the place. It was too far from Slateport and there was no sense entertainment from nearby towns.

But Littleroot has a special place in Valerio’s heart. Or rather, Vanessa. However, blazikens and torchics grazed the praeries of Oldale suburbs which were undeniable adorable for the rocket’s taste.

As he picked his leftover chips from his satchel, he crumbled the food to attract the fire-type flock.

All it took was to see the route teeming with many wild Torchic, Combusken and Blaziken alike for him to wish so strongly: Get over here...! ~~Please?~~

Rummaging in his bag for a spare pokeball, he hoped to capture at least one specimen, though one could hardly expect to succeed when so agile a pokemon was more than like to time a perfect counter and destroy the holding device.

But that was no excuse never to try, and so with digits tapping against the ball's polished surface he armed the poke ball, its shape burgeoning in his hand before he shot put it forward towards one:
