Mint can only interpret Herbie's begrudging gesture as one thing: uppies. And who is he to deny him. Especially when Zabaglione finally scrambles back towards the kitchen, old toy in hand with rand new drool. He is careful not to startle the Snivy, taking a pause before turning his head to protect his face and scooping up the grass type. He hoists him up as easily as he could Zaba, and patted toe walking snape before setting him on the countertop, the one with all the barstools set up so Herbie could watch Raphael cook as a height his Zigzagoon couldn't reach him. "Here you go, kiddo." he said as he dropped him off before turning back to Raph. [break][break]

Gelatto grumbles, once again jealous of the smaller pokemon's size and casts a mixed glare at the grass type. Something between a 'i hate you' and 'don't you dare' which is hard for a fox that anxious. "Oooh, I was thinking promoted since you're always wearing the button ups. I guess bouncer works too." he said, smelling the bacon smoke and going to turn on the fan as Raphael laughed. His teasing is just that: teasing. He has no idea the domestic mental image he's given Raph. Even if their current moment in time was rather domestic. But Mint doesn't hold the thought, not ready to think about their time together like that. [break][break]

Mint takes his cocktail eagerly. The mixed drink is refreshing. The taste of liquor expertly hidden. And the overall citrus flavor is a nice company o the oncoming brunch. Better than bottomless mimosas. Though Raphael seemed like the type to take him to one. "Really? It could be a super rare pokemon~ Something that sells with the rich kids for looots~" he said in a sing song voice. "You won it after all." [break][break]

"Yeah, I love breeding. Not as much time for it now though." he said with a nod, looking over at his Centiskorch and the mystery egg before ack at his guest chef. "Oh- no, it was Hoenn exclusive. Before Hoenn-" he faltered, trying to think of something he actually enjoyed before the region came into play. "I didn't really have many hobbies before Hoenn. Loads more free time." he said bouncing right back.

He sets his phone down, distracted as Raphael leaned in towards him. At the same time, under the few lights of the streetlamps and the skies above, a large white moth appeared. It elegantly flapped, floating in place as the couple gazed upon her. She cooled the immediate vicinity, little ice crystals faking off her wings. "You caught a Frosmoth?" he asked, voice pitching high as he tried not to shriek. Frosmoth were one of the cuter ice types once could hope to find. OR well, beautiful. But cute and fluffy as well. "They're so pretty-" he blurted out. [break][break]

They sheen on perfect white, deep sapphire eyes. Translucent wings. Like a sentient snowflake. He's caught up in his admiration taking in her size before he felt his date's warm breath curl in his ear. Suddenly, no ice type in the world is able to keep the heat from blooming on Mint's cheeks. [break][break]

"Hierb-" The translation makes him turn, nose nearly brushing with Raphael's. "Really?" he holds back a laugh behind a wide grin, shoulders suddenly shaking at the coincidence. "I get it...it's cute. And they look sweet too." he said. "You know, sometimes I use peppermint as an alias online, since it already had part of my name in it." he admitted. Peppermint, after all, was a good protagonist input name for him.

It's an odd solution, but Neon is more than happy to oblige, doing his best to dress for the occasion. He arrives to Aurelie's shop a few minutes earlier than intended, excited for the job. "I've actually been meaning to test out the cooling system in my helmet, since it needed repairs!" he said excitedly as he waved at the smithy. Most of his body armor had been left behind minus the tech he wanted to test out, as well as his infinity tracker. [break][break]

He'd been bringing it around so often, perhaps it was time to check in with Amor Rose about the overall health of it. After all, it was made out of tech he'd stolen form the League which the scientist had helped create. [break][break]

"I don't think we've formally been introduced but I'm a huge fan of your work!" he said offering to shake the redhead's hand. "Admin jayden cross , has given me your daggers before as gifts. The blood letting ones especially have been a great boon for my research on avatars!" he said, the LED screen lighting up with a happy smile despite the heat. Idly, one could hear the mechanics inside the helmet kicking up a notch to keep the Beast's brain cool amidst the hot forge.

"I look worse than I feel when I eat spicy." he said with a grin and pointing at his fair skin. "Though, I'm form a colder climate. It's not my forte, but I don't dislike it either." he said with a laugh. The waited comes back with drinks and Neon politely asks for the fuqi feipian, as he was already familiar with spring rolls. He takes a pork un and lets it cool down a bit before he digs in. [break][break]

His attention moves back to his recruit as he avoids scalding his tongue for now. "Are you looking to make a reputation for yourself?" he asked idly, watching the slight change in expression of the man before him. "Of course!" he chirped, taking a sip of his water. "I need you to know I was legit. And besides, I put a little bit more forethought in the people I want to hire." he said, smiling smugly as he finally took a bite of his pork bun. Steam floats up in to the air as Neon fans himself before knocking it back with more water. [break][break]

"I want to know more about you. I have work, and I'd like to broker a sort of...contract with you." he began getting straight to the point. He takes another bite, letting Jason wait on him as he savored the next site. The heat less intense now. "You're discreet. Mostly." he said. "I have some jobs I need someone with your field's skill set. If you're prepared for trouble, that is?" Neon took another couple of bites, happy letting Jason digest as he crammed the rest of the pork un down his throat like a rabid hamster. [break][break]

He grabs another un as the waiter sets down the spicier dish. The smell was potent, and the heat in the dish was already making his eyes water.

Petalburg Woods had become contested land ever since the blight had brought more attention to the area. Regardless of Elisabeth Fiorelli 's rot, nature would try to overtake again. But her rot had been so large and unnatural, rangers had attempted rehabilitation. But their utmost focus on the blight left other areas of the woods unattended and that's where Rocket would continue to move through when needed. [break][break]

He carries the usual device from the lab, retooled as a would be ghost hunting tool. His Froslass floated next to him. Neon figured if anybody could help him clear out something haunted with the grunt accompanying him, it was another ghost. [break][break]

The typical beeping in his handheld is silent, and in the darkness he opts for low light mode. The usual expressions that flashed on the front of his helmet were missing for now. Affogato floated forward elegantly before pausing. [break][break]

"Pokemon or?" the Beast asked as his partner tensed as movement from the trees above changed before the young Rocket dropped. "Hey!" his greeting is clipped as he makes sure to drop his voice. "Been waiting long?" he asked as his Froslass smoothed herself over before continuing her path forward. [break][break]

"People seemed to have found some primo caves form the tera crystals that made be ale to skirt around the blight and main league patrol hot spot." he said, not too concerned as the Froslass moved on without them. "Any questions?"

The past few months had been incredibly busy. His double workload between streaming and backhand dealing kept him moving, but unfortunately that was bad when he was busy dating. Free time, once he had it, was hard to use if he hadn't communicated with any suitors. So he tried, really he did. He texted back as soon as he could, sometimes instantly out of guilt. He sent photos of his pokemon when able. He collected things to share with Raphael when he visited. [break][break]

Or like now, moving heaven and earth in his planner to make this date. Dinner had been good with conversation flowing with ease and the pair sharing a dessert ( Mint had eaten one too many appetizers to polish it all off on his own). Then, much like their first meeting, Raph had walked him home again, minus the cut in at the alley. Though, he supposed there's always a chance for that to come up again. [break][break]

For now he enjoyed the man's company, tugging him closer for a photo together which he was busy sending back to Raph before they spoke up. "Yeah? What is it?" he asked as he sent the text off. Quietly, while he hoped Raphael was distracted, he used it to change his contact info of the guy, having snuck a photo of him leaving bed and used it instead.

Gelatto watches, barking once to call Zabaglione off the grass type now that it was smacking around its human. The little racoon darts back and past the Ninetails to retrieve its stuffy to share with Herbie. For now, he is free. "Getting paid to bring in customers?" Mint asked as he hoisted the egg up his chest, adding warmth to the mystery pokemon. [break][break]

The little vine smack earns a small snort from Mint as he looked down at the grass type. "What'd you expect if you're rude to him?" he asked before adding, "So, you want me to do all the work, then pick up the kid for fun weekends at dad's?"

Mint is more than happy to share this part of his past with the man. "Used to be a full time breeder." he stated proudly. "When I first moved to Hoenn, I had a lot of part times until I eventually got a permanent gig at the daycares. I'd travel sometimes to cover other places but mostly Lilycove." he looked to Gelatto before the ice type brings him a pokeball. He'd freed himself enough to focus up his mind on his matches. It'd been a turbulent winter, but the spring winds were finally melting away all the terror and ice of the past season. "Fuck her!" He shouted as Kyogre twirled around trying to find whatever poked it and smacking his Altaria out of the air. He returned her before she could get smashed against the rocks before letting out another pokemon. "Secure the sample, I'll cover you!" he said as he tossed out another pokeball. [break][break]

His Beheeyem takes only seconds to assess the situation as Kyogre roars, trying to give chase to his newest target. Gnocchi is quick to blast a SIGNAL BEAM between its eyes as Tempest gets a hold of his Genesect and takes off. [break][break]

"Fuck off, Quinn. I'll meet you back at the labs. That thing wants you bad!" he said as the Kyogre is only momentarily distracted by the psychic types' attack before swimming after the Genesect and its trainer. Mint sends out a Klefki to assist. The nervous keyring shook loudly as it cast a FAIRY LOCK, yanking Kyogre by one fin and forcing it to spin a quarter of a turn on itself. [break][break]

Gnocchi continued to blast SIGNAL BEAMS, riling up the legendary. When Neon is sure fellow Beast is safe he calls his pokemon to him. Gnocchi is at his side, the Klefki attaching itself to its trainers’ hip before the trio TELEPORT to safety only seconds before Kyogre destroys the sandbank they'd been on with ORIGIN PULSE.
