The silver spoon was put into her mouth, much like her entire life. Fed and given everything she wanted. At least, that was what she believed.

Summer liked to believe that she wasn't lied to or manipulated.

Her father brought up the pool party they had thrown that summer, where Rocket members came by and lounged in a star-glittering pool or absorbed themselves in sensory deprivation and overload. She thought about the day after, when she realized that her father was arriving home.

That Knox and Sam were still there.

The slap to the face, the anger, the frustration...

"Was it dangerous?" she asked, perhaps a mixture of curiosity and tipsiness from the alcohol.

"Knox... do you think he'd do that?"

Seeing Elisabeth dressed in something smart, dapper was a nice alternative to the cloak she had been hiding in when they were in Oldale. It seemed that the woman wasn't afraid of showing off some skin or curves.

She appreciated that, though she didn't make her thoughts known as she led her inside.

"First time going to a club? Do you mean to tell me that you decided to join me because of my presence and not the aspect of fun and entertainment?"

A devious look crawled over Summer's lips before she laughed, polished fingers hiding her smile as she waved the bartender close to order her own drink. Something stiff tonight, to burn away her worries and aches.

"You didn't have to come along, you know. I would have come alone otherwise."

"You make yourself sound as if you're an old woman," Summer teased, raising one of her brows at Ana.

"Surely work hasn't drained you to the point of becoming one."

Of course, she had no room to talk. Didn't she just say the same thing? She related all too well to Ana, especially with work and her ambitions, it appeared.

"It seems we're alike, you and I. Too engulfed in our work to take pleasure in the finer things in life."

Summer took her drink, holding it out toward Ana for a cheers.

Summer couldn't help a smirk as he questioned her intent. Was he interested? Or just wondering where her own interests lie? Either way, the little game she was initiating was enticing.

"Mmm... perhaps. If someone peaks my interest."

She acted nonchalant, but her gaze betrayed her purposefully. Her eyes scanned Felix up and down before looking back to his face again, her smile sly.

"And you?"

Summer decided that the club they should attend was going to be somewhat near her home in Mauville City. Not a far trek from Oldale, either, yet it was still rather high scale to meet the needs of the heiress.

She allowed time for Elisabeth to change as she had requested, though she was quickly whisked away to the club of Summer's choosing. It wasn't that she was interested in dancing or partying, per say.

It was the drinks and... other things that was calling her name.

The line was long outside the door, but Summer waved her hand at the bouncers who allowed them easy access. She smirked, throwing a glance over her shoulder at Elisabeth.

"Welcome to one of my favorite establishments," she said.

Summer knew that she had almost no chance of protecting Surtur from the ROCKSLIDE. Her GYARADOS could manage with the health it had left, but her EMBOAR was ragged enough that the force of the attack was going to be his last.

"Okay, boy. This will be it. Give it what you got."

With a final HEAT CRASH, he used the remaining energy he had to demolish any rocks that could threaten his teammate. But with one falling boulder, he fainted, disappearing into his Poke ball.

It gave time for Summer's GYARADOS to find cover and continue to recharge, INTIMIDATING at the same time.

Summer glanced at Elisabeth, contemplating her question. What exactly would she be doing after this little quest was over? She could retire early, take a relaxing bath and do self-care.

But her favorite option was always to get a drink.

"Hmm... I'm thinking about going to a club after this for a beverage or two. A treat. You're welcome to join me, if you wish," she offered.

It was particularly out of character for Summer to do such a thing, especially after challenging Elisabeth multiple times in the night. However, she dared to say that she had proven herself to the heiress. She was impressed.

"That's up to you, though. If you wish to depart, you are more than welcome to."

Summer watched the bartender leave, the two women remaining. She regarded Ana with a pleasant look before answering honestly.

"Not particularly. I find that as holidays come around, I get busier in my work. It's a bit of a pain, in my opinion. And you?"

Summer's EMBOAR took place in front of her, blocking an attack coming at the two women. A loud, grunting came from him as he shoved back the LYCANROC, blue flames igniting angrily.

"There's more?"

Shit. Summer knew that the two Pokemon she had sent out wouldn't be able to handle an entire pack. So she threw out her CHARIZARD and ARCANINE to aid in fending off the monsters.

"Attack as you see fit! Make sure we can find an escape point!" she ordered, her own eyes flitting around as she tried to find another tear in the dimension to exit.

Snarls and growls filled the air, an overwhelming sound as her own Pokemon sent out charged fire attacks to keep the pack at bay. Summer looked to Lex.

"Do you see a way out?"

More alcohol was poured into her glass. Of course, Summer being Summer, she didn't mind. It had become a rather unhealthy habit of hers as of late.

Of course, she wasn't aware that it was part of her father's plan to loosen her up, to rid her of her anxiety. Of course it was working.

The glass was lifted to her lips, tilted back as she sipped perhaps far too long before setting it down again. Slowly, her shoulders were beginning to relax, her brows less raised and tense.

"More often? I'd love that. You know exactly what I like, Father."

"Why aren't we doing that in the first place? Who's idea was this again...?"

Summer looked at her glass of wine, clearly too far in to remember clearly what the terms had been when they decided to take on this project for team Rocket. She shrugged and drank some more.

"We can always order some and have it specially shipped to the yacht. A snack while this shit cooks, right?"

As she was speaking, Mars cried about about the melting bowl on the stove, as well as the burning chocolate inside it. Summer turned her head, raising her eyebrows. She slipped off from where she was sitting and turned off the heat, tapping her chin.

"That's a problem..." she said before snapping a picture of the melting bowl.

Oh. Summer Prescott could absolutely be mad at that face.

"It isn't when you aren't wearing heeled shoes and are shorter like I am," she pointed out with a huff and a pout.

But, her pouting and frustration was short-lived as the stall caught her attention again. There was playful music in the background as individuals threw dulled darts at balloons. Safety first, kids.

"So you just get a dart and throw it to pop the balloon? Seems easy enough. I'll be waiting for you to pay dinner later, Barnaby," Summer said as she took a place at the stand.

Five darts were given to her. She took the first one, lining up her shot, and threw it. It touched the balloon, but the balloon didn't pop. In fact, it almost seemed like the dart slid off.

Perhaps it was the fact that she was already a few drinks in that she wasn't quick to snap or retaliate. The mention of 'boyfriend' certainly stung and left a sour taste in Summer's mouth, but she allowed the alcohol to burn it away before speaking.

"He's not here. He's missing," she put bluntly, as though it was the most simple conversational starter in the world.

"Don't pity me, Andres. I'm not a damsel in distress. I can handle a little heartbreak," Summer added in before he could interrupt her thought.

Of course, Summer knew that drinking alone had pros... and cons. And she was weighing benefits against risks as she spoke again.

"Then join me and keep me company. Surely your posse of low-class whores over there won't mind if I steal you, hmm?"

Ever the one to insult, she made she that her status was set in place.
