When first dealing with his blindness on top of grieving for his sister he had been a little hostile with his speech. He’d never been the violent type though.

Hearing what she had to say he nodded. ”True, I have to at least be civil. I’m lucky that there’s not people that I don’t care for. Since I feel it would be harder to be hospitable with people you don’t like,” he said the first part was said with amusement but he was more serious for the rest.

She brought up a good point. Those it wasn’t like his friends and family didn’t have their own lives. He couldn’t just ask them to drop everything to help him out. Though he was sure some might if he asked. His aunt definitely would if he asked and would lecture him if she knew about this. The problem of course would’ve been finding whatever jobs around the restaurant would fit them.

Though he was sure part of it had to do with his independent nature though. Something he would leave out of his response. ”They have their own lives and I felt I could handle it. I guess trying to do everything is asking too much though,” he said. ”At least I can say it was a learning experience,” he pointed out.

”True, though not everyone would be as understanding about it,” he pointed out with a sigh. And it wasn’t like he had dealt with a lot of people who treated him differently than everyone since coming to Hoenn. Sure he had dealt with a few people who treated him like he was helpless. But other than that everyone just treated him like everyone else.

Though the other had already seemed to know his name he still thought it would be a good idea to introduce himself. ”I look forward to working with you as well,” he said before listening to what the older male had to say. So it sounded like the Goodra was just not wanting to listen to him. That is if that’s what he meant by unruly.

So it was a regular Goodra after all. A bit weird that it wasn’t a bit meek like he had heard the were. ”For dragon types the best way to tame them is to show you mean business. You have to be firm with dragon types,” he told the ranger thinking of how he had worked on training his Zweilous. He likes to think that they held a mutual respect for each other and that’s why he was not as volatile as most of its species were.

”Thanks though I’ve had less people think that way about me since I started up my own restaurant. I’m a chef started learning after I lost my sight,” he explain before shaking his head. ”Anyway sorry about getting off topic. We’re here about training your Goodra so we should focus on that.”

Hearing the older males question made him think of how he had trained Hades and he found himself answering. ”Well with my zweilous I just battled him repeatedly and won. I think showing your Goodra that you shouldn’t be taken lightly as a trainer would be the best way to go.”[break] wren rourke

He moved over to the counter putting the sauce pan down. It was only once he had done that that he would answer the older males question. ”I was thinking of making parsley potatoes and salad to go with the fish. Potatoes are something that can pretty much go with anything,” he explained.

”We’ll make the potatoes in the microwave to safe time. Usually I eat fries with fish but not in the mood for fries,” he told the younger male as he got out a few potatoes and started making quick work of peeling them. ”Can you put the fish in the sauce pan and turn on the oven?” he asked momentarily pausing as he addressed the younger teen.[break] Aaron Toral

”Yeah I suppose so. You know it’s hard to believe that if seperior didn’t use most of their body to move that they would actually be pretty tall,” he said trying to remember what exactly he had read about their height and weight. He didn’t remember it exactly. But if he remembered correctly serperior’s height, or as he liked to think of it length, was almost eleven feet.

He knew very little of alpha Pokémon so it was weird to picture what a serperior would look like as one. The who alpha think had made him curious though. He wondered what gave them their sizes. Perhaps if someone found that out someone could discover a way to make all Pokémon like that. Though he was sure not everyone would be on board with that.

He had a point. Considering how Zweilous usually were he was very lucky. ”Yes which is why so many people think it weird with how docile zweilous is. Well unless he feels I’m being threatened he’s really protective. Maybe he adopted me,” he said jokingly. Though he soon became serious once more.

”Yes, he’s with me,” he said in response to the gym leader’s question. The conversation moved on and hearing his comment about schedules he nodded. ”That would be great,” he said knowing that he would have to check his schedule. He had it programmed on his phone and to check it out all he would have to do is look it up.

After splitting up from Keenan he would do a bit of shopping to get a change of clothes sense he planned on getting freshened up. And the thought of wearing the same clothes that he’d worn for the better part of a day after getting a shower made him cringe. So he would take a shower put on a change of clothes before meeting up with the other teen.

He would be the first to reach the Pokémon center even after spending longer than he had intended getting a shower and changing clothes. His current out fit was a white t-shirt of a pair of black jean shorts and to tie it together was a pale green short-sleeve jacket with a pair of black sandals. It was an outfit that would keep him from getting too hot.

Since he hadn’t been keeping up with the time he wouldn’t have realized that the other teen was late if he hadn’t said anything. ”Don’t worry about it, I’m just glad you got here okay,” he reassured the other male. Not wanting him to beat himself up over running a bit let.

Luckily it was the person who his aunt had chosen to help him out. The older male’s question made him think. He would be lying if he said they did a bit of everything. There were some things they did tend to stay away from. Aside from frying up fish they usually steered clear of seafood. Sure he knew how to cook seafood but the different rules when cooking with seafood wasn’t something he was usually in the mood to deal with.

”I look looking cuisine from all regions. To give people a taste of home away from home. I stick to the more popular dishes of a region though. Though not due to focus reasons more to pace myself. My aunt is already on my case about how much I work,” he told the older male. To be honest if there was one thing he would never lose focus on it would be anything related to his restaurant.

Of course he knew some people had to much going on in a restaurant. But he had an idea what he wanted his restaurant to come off as. ”Of course I cook cuisine from Hoenn as well. I’m best with Unovian cuisine though considering I lived there for most of my life. It actually wasn’t until a year ago that I came to Hoenn,” he explained. Since no one had complained about the cooking yet he figured he did a well enough job with cuisine that wasn’t from Unova.

He shook the other male’s hand listening to the older male’s introduction. ”Pleasure to meet you Noah,” he said flashing him a welcoming smile. ”I suppose we should head to the kitchen,” he said as he began to move in that direction. He figured the older male would follow him and that he wouldn’t have to do anything to get Noah to follow him.

As they moved towards the kitchen he heard the older male’s inquiry. ”I just want to add a few new items. I’ve considered creating a new dish completely that could be the restaurant’s specialty. It made sense that the gym leader would understand what he was talking about considering he ran the Mauville gym. The discussion then moved to their starter Pokémon and he listened to what he had to say about Serperior. ”I never really thought of riding Venus before. I’m unsure how one would go about riding a Serperior,” he admitted his expression pensive.

Perhaps when he had more practice riding he would consider turning Venus into a ride Pokémon. But he was unsure if she would allow for it causing how protective Venus could be of him at times. ”That must have been a fun match. I never really heard about riding Pokémon back in Unova much less racing them,” he told the older male.

Listening to what he had to say about Hydreigon he nodded. ”I think Hydreigon would be an interesting mount. I think Hades wouldn’t be to hard to train. As I said he’s fairly docile. Though he’s only a Zweilous right now, I’m content with him evolving whenever he’s ready,” he said thinking about what the dragon Pokémon who was usually pretty docile unless he felt Shin was in some kind of danger.

He wasn’t surprised when the gym leader confirmed that ear protection was necessary. Apparently there were helmets that could cancel out the noise. And apparently it was necessary just for the sport itself. Maybe because Pokémon running at full speed under normal circumstances could be harmful to someone’s ears.

The fact lessons were provided at the gym was definitely a surprise. ”I may look into that for more lessons. It would have to be on a day I have off. I usually try to take at least one day a week off,” he explained knowing his aunt still thought he worked to much even though he tried to take a day off each week.

As he urged Pinky into a swift gallop he could hear the gym leader’s excitement. He supposed this kind of speed was what the gym leader could enjoy. Though he figured he preferred things even faster but for now he was okay with this speed.[break] Josh Devlin

”Huh? Small world,” the redhead said once Aaron claimed to know the other blind teen. It was interesting that he would meet two people that knew each other on the same day. ”I hope you catch him before he leaves Lilycove. I’m unsure if he planned on staying for awhile since I needed to cut our time short to set up for the lesson,” he explained somewhat apologetic that he could tell him rather the other teen might still be in the area.

After agreeing to go catch Pokémon with the younger brother and giving a location he waited to see if the younger teens brother would agree to the location. Aaron’s brother agreed to the location and he nodded when he heard what he had to say. ”Yeah I heard about the going ons in granite cave but I’d also heard the problem had be resolved and that it was okay to go there now. Or at least that’s what my cousin said. And they would never put me in harms way,” he told the younger male.

Even if there were still problems he would do whatever it took to help out Kee if he needed to. Though hopefully all they would have to do is battle wild Pokémon. When his alarm on his watch went off the two moved to the kitchen. Time seemed to have gone by fast when they were talking.

”Yeah can you get the fish out of the refrigerator while I get a sauce pan?” he asked upon hearing the inquiry. After having done that he opened the cabinet to get a sauce pan grumbling about people messing with his system. Hearing what he said he nodded. ”It is but you can have it exported to other places. I think my parents fell in love with coconut during their travels in their younger years,” he explained frowning as he tried to remember exactly what his parents had told him. ”I tried it and my throat started to close up. From what I remember about coconut I wasn’t real fond of the texture either. So the fact I’m allergic isn’t a problem for me.”

The talk about rocket had him realize they had similar viewpoints. He wasn’t about to throw a whole group of people in the same boat. The redhead was sure that wasn’t the case with some people. That some people just hated all people in rocket no matter who they were or what reason they had joined rocket. He just didn’t see the point of that.

”Sounds good to me,” he said upon hearing his inquiry. They continued on soon coming across a Medicham and a Pawmot. ”Don’t have either so I’m fine with a Medicham,” he said waving for Venus to attack the Medicham. He knew know of her moves would be super affective but it would be better than using a Pokémon that was weak to fighting moves.

Venus started off by using leaf blade against the medicham causing him to stumble from the force of the move. Before he could react Venus used leaf tornado sending him into the wall. Deciding to intervene before Venus could attack again he threw a pokeball at the dual type Pokémon causing it to be sucked into the pokeball.[break] Keenan Toral

Her mention of the gym got him curious. ”What gym do you work for? I’ve already ran into someone who works at the gym in Mauville,” he explained wondering if that was the gym she worked in. Of course he knew there were other gyms around Hoenn. He also knew she could mean something entirely different when she talked about working in a gym, but considering her love of battling he doubted it.

They moved forwards and before long they were set upon by a Beldum and a Toxicroak. While it was true that he was willing to allow her first pick the truth of the matter was that he already had a Metagross. If he went after the beldum he would basically do so just so he could have the previous evolutions to help fill out his Pokédex.

As she claimed the beldum he nodded before telling Venus to hold back and sent out Aggron. ”Use stomping tantrum against the Toxicroak,” he told the dual type pokemon. The Aggron did as he was told hitting the dual type with a super affective move.

Figuring he was low enough on health he tossed a pokeball towards the dual type listening as the pokeball hit the ground after sucking the dual type inside. Athena’s voice pulled him away from listen to his own pokeball shake and rattle and he thought over the response before battling.

”I haven’t battled anyone in the past three years but since I’m considering taking on the gyms on the days I don’t have to work at the restaurant I should probably start getting back into it,” he said with a small shrug.[break] athena oswald

The fact Hideo trailed off made him curious but he just kept his question to himself. As the younger teen continued he had a feeling that wasn’t what he had been about to say. But he decided just to go along with it. Besides everyone deserved to have their secrets. And if he had secrets then he was fine with him keeping them.

”I did the gym circuit back in Unova but I didn’t complete it,” he admitted with a small frown. ”I wasn’t in the right mind set to complete the gym challenge. I kind of just threw myself into cooking instead. I suppose I could look into getting back into taking on the gyms here but I do have the restaurant to think about, so I don’t know how something like that would work out.”

Though he would skip the whole camping thing if he did decide to do that. He would just return home each time. He did have a day off every week, so perhaps he could look into doing it then. It would take him awhile, but he would still be doing it. And he doubted it mattered how long someone took.

The younger teens voice pulled him from his thoughts and he nodded, despite it being unnecessary, before speaking. ”I’ve never heard anyone getting Pokémon so early. Then again before I started my Pokémon journey I didn’t really interact with anyone. I much preferred keeping to myself,” he admitted, knowing he wasn’t as unsocial as he was back then.

What he said made sense. ”True that usually pertains to Pokémon you haven’t had for long. The longer you’ve had them the more obedient they usually are. Though some just have a disposition that make them hard to control. But if you’re a good enough trainer you can make even the rowdiest of Pokémon fall in line.”

The basket was getting pretty heavy and he considered checking out soon. As if reading his mind the younger teen brought up the items they had obtained. Before he could speak his phone vibrated in his pocket allowing him to know he was getting a phone call. ”Hold on a minute,” he said fishing his phone out of his pocket before answering it.

He was on the phone for maybe five minutes before hanging out. ”I think you have plenty, I’m afraid I must be going now though. As the gym leader mentioned his gym being known for Manectric he perked up himself. ”Really, I know the gym is known for racing but I wasn’t sure what kinds you had. I could only do so much research since I own my own restaurant. As for my own first Pokémon I was given a Snivy. She’s been with me since I was ten as well and I started my journey back in Unova with her. I’ve had Hades almost as long as Venus though. Hades, is my Zweilous, he’s pretty docile for his breed.”

The idea of a Pokémon running at the speed of sound was intriguing. Probably wouldn’t do well with someone who had a weak stomach though. Though he was intrigued he wasn’t sure if there would be much point in his checking into something like that though. Going at that speed seemed like it would blow an eardrum out though so he assumed one would have to wear something to protect your ears.

”Going that fast wouldn’t you have to wear ear protection?” he asked curiously before speaking once more. ”Its cool you created something like that though. I think my aunts been looking into seeing if she can find me an Electrike or a Manectric. I’ll have to find out what she has first,” he explained, though it was clear he was thankful for the offer.
