In the pokemon center, Zachary sat at one of the nearby tables as he had his journal open. He tapped his pen to the paper, struggling to write. After a moment of pondering about what monkey's he knew, Jumanji--he began to write. [break][break]

Wits wrangled and tempers test. [break][break]
Oranguru teaches you the most valuable lesson -- maybe. [break][break]

Zachary's mind wandered with a scene from one of his favorite shows using that 'classic line' and it seemed to fit, accidentally using that same voice-- till he saw some people staring at him. His face turned red, and just gave a wave of 'hello-- I'm not crazy' at them. To which, they walked away. Once they left, he took the poem and swiftly mailed it into the pokemon center mailbox. . Reading through the childhood diary decorated with her likeness, Petra can't help but chuckle under her breathe - rediscovering a silly poem about three mankeys. Well, she wasn't quite sure if it qualified as a poem. But at least it rhymed! After sharing it with the baby pokemon of the Lilycove daycare she'd been volunteering at for several weeks, Petra finally decided to enter it as a submission to MAUVILLE MAGNETIC MONKEY MISSION. Surely they'd be able to appreciate the piece to some extent...

Three blind mankeys sat on a tree.
Nothing as dumb as them could there ever be.
They see no evil wherever they look.
Not they saw anything since the day their tree shook.

Speaking of evil, the oldest is Crook.
Stealing and swiping whenever he could.
His brothers still loved him, a true robin hood.
But this all changed on the day their tree shook.

Should they have listened to the mankeys who fled.
Who heard evil had put a price on their heads.
Then perhaps no machines would have dropped them on their heads.
And no fall would have popped out their eyes, bringing them dread.

But the youngest monkey wasn't like the others.
He never sought materials or the company of another.
Those things were nice, but the lesson he admired?
Was that even blind brothers could look out for each-other.

So when danger was near, they panicked together.
Oohing and Aahing like at the family get-together.
But it didn't take long before three became two.
At least until two mankey brothers found a trainer like you.

Their eyes may be blind, but much have they seen.
And heard of much wisdom to bring to your team.
So speak no evil, and return to team monke.

After the mild (Very, very mild) success of his Butter themed Butterfree and Beautifly themed poem for school, Knight was excited to tackle a new subject -- Monkeys![break][break]
He had worked on the submission with Cass and Thea and was rather proud of what he had written. It was definitely an original piece of work and hadn't been inspired by anything at all.[break][break]
Kay was confident that even if it wasn't a winner, surely whoever judged the contest would see the emotion and passion within and deem it worthy of publication regardless![break][break]

Cassandra loves monkeys, so seeing the flyer, she decided instantly that she'd have to participate. , and her have sat together to brew some really good monkey poems. Her poem would be pretty simple and inspired by her own monkey, Dermot the Grafaiai, at which she might have stared for a while. Finally, she thinks she might have broken him down to a perfect essence. Or something like that.
