delphox was a magician, as per his ability. unfortunately for him, his skills will be reduced to parlor tricks for the sake of the job.

much like every other magic show, tricks were happening all the time behind the scenes. they were less impressive knowing that pokemon were pulling the strings, but thankfully, younger children were gullible creatures who wouldn't have thought of it.

a magic coat from the delphox was placed in effect. any other special effects to make the show visually appealing was set for success. all the fire-type had to do was work in the shadows to make sure everything comes perfectly.

porygon-z (-) trace - conversion 2, tri attack, magic coat, lock-on, zap cannon, recover

porygon-z isn't a magician nor are its skills particularly suited for magic, but here it is, reduced to parlor tricks for the sake of the job as well.

joining kyle lopez's delphox, porygon-z's own MAGIC COAT shines brightly, creating special effects to make the show just that more special. it even reaches out to pull delphox back a bit to keep it in the shadows.

Normally, they’d never wander too far away from the confines of their human companion’s computer, however there was something that had caught his eye that had made him (somewhat) reluctantly remove the data Pokémon from his laptop.

It was because there was something in their moveset that could be put to good use, which was Magic Coat.

Following the lead of the other Pokémon, they moved after the glitchier version of themselves and added on to the magical effects being performed in the magic show.

Such strange things the humans wanted… ah, well.

Orbeetle's could certainly put on quite the light show. Often, lighting in performances of magic proved to be everything. It could draw in the audience's eye like a moth to the flame, masking the crucial slips and switches in shadow all the while.

While Javik helped make this particular performance quite the bright spectacle, acting as a glorified disco ball of sorts in the rafters high above, he was also depended upon to hide an entire Rhydon from view during one of the acts. When the lumbering beast was draped in a large cloth by the attending magician, the Orbeetle's MAGIC COAT fell upon the stage.

And, when said cloth was removed, the Rhydon appeared to disappear entirely from existence!

Is Munna a magic pokémon? Maybe, maybe not, but being one that eats dreams and nightmares alike, she knows a thing or two about what is bound to wonder and amaze.

When being sent by her trainer to aid with the show, the small pokémon diligently does as told; hiding in the shadows while her MAGIC COAT is spread over the stage in the form of a sparkling mist. It makes the show appear all the more enchanting, adding to the wonder of the audience, and upon seeing this, the flowers that mark the Dream Eater Pokémon’s body glow with delight.

The show was a resounding success. An event like no other. Like something out of a dream.

Probably because it was all happening within the confines of Mu-Mu’s Dream Mist, her shimmering Magic Coat keeping the “magician” awake while the crowd imagined a far more fantastic spectacle than the simple parlor tricks shown on stage. It may seem like a cheap tactic for a quick buck, but must a show be real to be enjoyed and profited from?

Where Lopunny's MAGIC COAT proves less effective than her co-workers, her CUTE CHARM kicks in. With a wink and a chirpy cry, the normal-type makes certain malfunction appear as though they were planned and a part of her act. The slight, visible shimmer when she's supposed to be rendered invisible is laughed at, along the many card tricks she'd managed to mess up so far.

A psychic type would have probably done a better job than her, but then again, this move was a part of Lopunny's level-up move list, so she seemed like the obvious choice.

THREE PORYGONS IS TWO TOO MANY. the whole magic shtick and free menial labor means little to silph co. the fact that MAGIC COAT encompasses porygon’s repertoire is something else entirely. fernando’s own porygon2 watch the other carefully, blending in with its illustrious coat.

“poggers!” someone shouts but the mindless drabble dies down as the audience returns to their undignified stupor.

somewhere in the back, a bitch munches on popcorn loud and unapologetically. the show was keeping her more than fed.
