the obstagoon holds two zigzagoon with his arms, both of them wriggling out of control after being distressed by the traumatic experience. it is only from the familiar scent of someone of a similar species that they manage to feel somewhat calmer.

as the obstagoon prevents the two zigzagoon, whose entire brethren fell into a hole on the ground, from going wild and possibly running back in since their zigzag walk patterns were unpredictable, it releases a cry that informs the others of the location.

the obstagoon's job was simple-- keep the hoenn variants of his evolutionary line from being too rowdy and disturbing the entire operation themselves.

although antsy to help, the pokemon sits still with the ones that haven't fallen into the well as he waits with them for the party to get their other friends and family.

The Ariados cast her thread down the well, waiting for the vibrations that she’d caught something. It was almost like fishing in a sense, though her targets were above the water. And what she caught was to be rescued, rather than eaten or put into a Pokeball.

Well, with how much self-preservation they seemed to have, those latter two would probably happen soon. But that wasn’t her concern; her job was to get them out of the well now.

She felt a tug at her string, and reeled it in with all her effort; this was heavier than the last few. But pulled she did, finding several Zigzagoons, soaked to the bone. One attached to the rope, the others clinging to it for dear life.

And for any Zigzagoons that wanted to join those in the well, and weren’t already held back by other Pokemon on this job, a neat Spider Web was set up to catch them.

Keyne is, to put it mildly, out of his element. The Swellow circles above the well in a calm, lazy spiral, feathers ruffling slightly in the wind as he waits for an opening. As he spots the next cluster of Zigzagoon being brought to freedom, he folds his wings against his body and executes a steep dive into the narrow well, deftly avoiding the Ariados' string near the side wall before flaring his wings out to arrest his descent before he hits bottom.

His sudden arrival does more to startle the remaining Zigzagoon than comfort them, though one curious specimen edges closer to the bird cautiously. Dipping his head, Keyne carefully takes the Zigzagoon about the middle with his talons before flapping his wings, rising out of the well to deposit the smaller pokemon carefully with its brethren.

With a powerful surge, the Swellow takes flight once more to resume his languid lap around the yawning mouth of the well, eyes keenly observing the ongoing rescue attempts for another opening to allow his descent. Slower going than he's used to, perhaps, but slow progress is better than none at all.

One by one gardevoir used her psychic powers to lift the zigzagoons out of the water. She sighed, how did these goofs manage to stumbled into a well like this? They'd have to be pretty dumb for it, or maybe she was just smarter than the average Pokémon thanks to her psychic typing. She had to focus her energy entirely on lifting them out since they'd wiggly instinctively when being lifted into the air.[break][break]

She grew more annoyed for each and every zigzagoon that got pulled out of the well. WHY WERE THERE SO MANY? Well whatever, at least Melody would be happy that she helped out like this.

Narrowly avoiding getting trapped by the Ariados' spider webs, Mandibuzz dives down into the hole to retrieve lost Zigzagoon.

At some point the bird mistakes even kyle lopez's Obstagoon for one of the trapped Pokemon. After what is probably a confusing scuffle of feathers and black and white fur, Mandibuzz abandons the Obstagoon and goes back to Zigzagoon retrieving.

For the most part, the scary-looking mange-bird doesn't cause more damage than good. However, it is totally exhausting to have to keep retrieving the same stubborn Zigzagoon when they come tumbling back down. Who was in control of these guys?

Someone seriously needs to put a fence up around this well.

What a precarious situation.

Jessie's Aurorus looked down the well with a look of pity in his eyes. Those poor Zigzagoons...

Luckily, it had spotted some water in the well, whether it was left their purposefully or from accumulated from rain. He decided to freeze over a path that he could slide down, retrieving several of the trapped Pokemon.

Little steps were formed so some of the more adept climbers could climb out behind him.

zarude's entrance into the scene is more than a little dramatic. it swings on vines like spiderman, landing in a superhero pose before pounding on its chest.

"HOO HOO"

it shrugs past the other rescuers and reaches its lanky arms over, summoning vines of POWER WHIP that lash down at the trapped zigzagoons. with ease, it lifts them back up to safety.

what an interesting turn of events. his ability to ROCK CLIMB along with his actual ability, KEEN EYES helped to make him quite the champion. he could spot the little stuck ziggies and pick them up, carry them along, and up to safety.

all while avoiding water cause ew no thanks.

lincoln hated baths. so imagine how surprised he'll be when he gets back and francie complains he's dirty and gives him a bath anyway, kek.
