WELCOME TO AFTERNOON TEA

YOU MANEUVER THROUGH THE DARK TO THE NINTH CHALLENGE. The ceiling is high here— and although the room is engulfed by the same darkness as the previous rooms, one can see a starry, ethereal pattern cast above. Upon further inspection, one can find digital projectors on the ground. Trendy star lights oft found advertised underneath viral social media posts.[break][break]

"all eyes are on you, folks! for making it this far!" The obscured figure says. With a laugh, she summons her GOLISOPOD onto the arena. "let me explain your challenge."[break][break]

The mysterious figure explains the challenge. Any attempts to find or identify them through light or physical touch will result in them disappearing into the dark.[break][break]

Around the room, there is no inscription visible.

TIP: if there are characters or pokemon left who have yet to act, but have not participated in the completion of a challenge, feel free to have them knock out the opposing pokemon.

Razz doesn't fear the dark as they continue to move forward, though thinking it would be safer for them to at least have some semblance of location he does call on his Litwick to help be a guild. It's flames matching that of the purple of of his patron, staying a top their trainer's head would hopefully help. [break][break]

As the meet the next room he looks up into the fake stars being projected onto the ceiling. Pondering if these stars were yet another clue, if their constellations matched or if they differed because these people also came from another world. Just like the sea creatures from Aqua. Another pokeball and now his Hawlucha was out, it seems to glare back at the Ranger before looking forward, "We need you to hold it with SKYDROP," Hawlucha gives a scoff but it agrees as it seems to want the challenge as the flying pokemon launches itself and grabs the pokemon up high with the attack[break][break]

Razz would look back, "Can any of you attack it in the air?"

She keeps her hand tightly entwined with Eris Halla's, and even goes so far as to reach out with her free one to pet the girl's hair. Slender digits thread gently through golden locks, smoothing and soothing, though she tries not to make it too apparent. Eris seems like the kind of girl that doesn't want to be babied, but Luka's altruistic nature makes it impossible not to tend to her when the young girl trembles by her side.[break][break]

Perhaps she's overly maternal, or too sentimental. Either way, she doesn't let go of Eris' hand, even when they reach the next challenge.[break][break]

"Oh, oh, oh! Me, me, me! I can do that...I can do that!"[break][break]

Razz Kingsman presents a challenge she can actually complete, and who is she to refues? Her enthusiasm is far outside the bounds of a simple battling challenge, but Luka is incredibly excited to be able to contribute for once. She beams as she sends out her Finneon, the butterfly fish spinning once in the air and floating languidly.[break][break]

A powerful gust is sent towards the airborne Golisopod, and manages to hit even as it's held in the air.[break][break]

Remiel regards the trendy star lights with an amused smile. Had they run out of money for the posh and elegant décor employed on previous floors? Was that why they walked about in the dark now?

Regardless, he was sure it had something to do with the underlying theme... perhaps even the mysterious woman they'd encountered prior.

The room comes alive with the flame of Razz Kingsman 's Litwick. Soon, it grows even brighter when Remiel summons a SHINY VOLCARONA. SEKHMET's wings glitter with bright yellow specks of fire, and it soon spreads this infectious light outward in the blast of a HURRICANE.

This proves to be the final nail in the coffin for the airbrone GOLISOPOD.

YOU MAKE IT TO THE TENTH CHALLENGE. There, an older lady stands tall— but she seems fragile in presence. Tired, perhaps. Wizened by experience unseen. The room is brighter than the others, but still dimly lit. Windows have their curtains closed, but the sunlight from outside sneaks in periodically in small claw-like shafts.[break][break]

"welcome to your final challenge." She does not betray her name, but the elegant manner in which she conducts herself may reveal that her station is a privileged one. "when almost all light is reflected, you see white... in the absence of reflected light, you see black... true white and black is almost impossible to witness, unless one comes across the purest of sunlight or the depths of a black hole. i wonder if pokemon types function in similar fashions?"[break][break]

The lady takes a careful step forward before underhand tossing her pokeball. From the red beam, an UNOWN-A emerges. Her other hand procures a FIGY BERRY. The keenest of eyes may witness it glitch ever so briefly. Once. As if tampered with by the threads of time.[break][break]

"you may require one of these to fulfill your task..." The lady says. "do not worry... the effects of this berry are temporary." She goes on to explain the challenge. "my unown will strike with a hidden power... and it will find your pokemon's weakness."

A tall woman with platinum blonde hair stands across from them. In all honesty, Remiel has to do a double-take to ensure he isn't looking at his mother, the Queen. Thankfully, that isn't the case. She looks far too sickly, anyway, and dressed almost entirely in black.

This strange, nameless host of theirs recites a poetic thought aloud. Afterwards, she presents an UNOWN and a BIZARRE FIGY BERRY that appears to glitch in and out of existence for a brief moment. The royal takes a silent moment to ponder this and the challenge at hand.

As he reaches for a luxury ball, and summons a black BAILE STYLE ORICORIO, he finally speaks to his group. "Shall I explain the plan moving forward? Or do all of you have a good idea of what to do..."

Meanwhile, he wonders if this woman isn't somehow related to the ASSASSINS at MT. CHIMNEY or the MYSTERIOUS DEVICE somehow. Perhaps, when this is all over, his group can reconvene and place some of the puzzle pieces together...

As the attacks land Night would come flying down to the group to point and berate them. One attack was fine the lot of them didn't need to butt in and the Hawlucha had no problems voicing that out loud. "That answer your question?" Razz replies to Eris as he gets out the Hawlucha's pokeball to return him. Apologizing for the overkill before the head to the next room. [break][break]

He's thankful for the light but for now he'll keep Alabaster on his head in case he wants to use his own abilities and disguise it under the candle pokemon's doing. As the old woman gives them their challenge Razz can't help but ponder something, "If we beat your challenge do you think you can answer a question then?"[break][break]

After planning goes on and Razz just gives a nod to them "I got how, but I think these two would want it more complicated soooo..." Razz calls for his Starmie, and while his judgement says otherwise they prompt to take the FIGY BERRY and Rasin learns MIMIC.

As Luka discovers her weakness for MILFs, the cryptic message and spoken challenge flutters right over her head. Her attention only snaps back into focus when the Unown-A makes an appearance, which she tries to scan with her Unown Device out of pure instinct. Is Martín del Mar rubbing off on her? That might not be a good thing.[break][break]

She shifts from foot to foot, unease and admiration for the woman in front of them buzzing in the back of her head. And as a consequence, she's left out of whatever plan her team had silently formed. Though even if she had been listening with rapt attention, she wouldn't know what to do. Luka turns to the group and sheepishly raises her hand.[break][break]

"Um...I have no idea," she answers Remiel Calcifet, embarrassment at her incompetence turning her cheeks crimson. "But if, um, i-if you just tell me what to do, I can try to help!"[break][break]

"Has there... ever been any reports of a group named the Dark Triad before? Or something edgy along those lines?" The question finally dances upon her lips, her nerves temporarily shaken off by the time spent in relative silence. It sits, waiting for a response from any of the adults (though, she highly doubts Luka would have an inkling of such suspicious groups). But before she continue her train of thoughts, she finds it interrupted by the presence of an Unown, her eyes flicking over to the strange Figy Berry then turning back to the lady assigning the challenge.

"Unowns... don't exactly give me the best vibes..."

Not after Groudon's rampage, not after the Soiree, not after her journey through the alternate dimension. They're tied in deeply with the interdimensional assailants, but not everyone that owns one can be definitively labelled as a threat. Still, she smiles and nudges Razz just a little.

"There were simpler methods than that, you know? Miss Luka, if you have anything that knows Burn Up..."

Her Flareon follows suit with a Copycat, mimicking both Burn Up and Revelation Dance to aim at the Unown.

The intricacies of their plan are lost on her and honestly, it stings a bit to be left on the fringes. But that's what she gets for being a bit of an airhead, isn't it? If she was more battle-savvy, perhaps she could figure it out on her own.[break][break]

But Luka maintains a cheerful smile and sunny disposition as she releases a shiny Cyndaquil, which chirps and releases a Burn Up, warming the space with even more light and flickers of flame.[break][break]

She glides slowly toward one of the windows. Her gloved hands grasp the curtains and draw them open with one concise thrust. As the sunlight floods into the room, a peculiar Pokemon arrives in startling pink. The lady is quick to close the window again.[break][break]

"for all of your concerted efforts... our herald of spring, enamorus is willing to grant you with a springtime blessing... she can teach one of your pokemon how to use the winds of love and hate... if you are so willing." she says as the enamorus joins her side. a thin finger tucks a white curl of hair behind her ear.[break][break]

"go on." The lady waits for your decisions as the Enamorus begins to conjure a cyclone of sakura pink, brimming with affections gained. affections lost.[break][break]

One may wonder whatever else may be bestowed within this wind— should it be trusted.[break][break]

INSTRUCTIONS

READ CAREFULLY EVERY ROUND

Choose one of your Pokemon to learn a free 7TH EVENT MOVE, SPRINGTIDE STORM.
SPRINGTIDE STORM can be used on a LAND FORME SHAYMIN to shift it into SKY FORME SHAYMIN; however, this must be done in a THREAD OF ANY KIND. The move can be used again to reverse the forme.
A SKETCHED version of SPRINGTIDE STORM can not be used to shift Shaymin's forme. After all, Smeargle's versions of legendary/mythical signature moves are inherently weaker and may lack particular elements.
A LAND FORME SHAYMIN changing to SKY FORME will lose access to AROMATHERAPY and HEALING WISH, replacing such moves with AIR SLASH and LEAF STORM. There are circumstances where the SKY FORME may be reverted temporarily (e.g. night time, freezing).

Razz crosses his arms unsure of what to think of this new mysterious Pokemon. He isn't sure to trust it or her despite the reward. But from his jacket Salem jumps out having been tested from the earlier attack. Razz is about to protest but the meowstic gives the ranger an 'a-okay' and grin so he decides to trust the cat's judgement. [Break][break]

"I find out this hurts him not even that will keep you safe," he threatens, his usual calm being thrown out the window at the questionable safety.

The sunlight fills the room to the best of its ability and, with it, a strange new Pokémon enters their company: ENAMORUS. Like a lad ten years his junior, the ambassador pulls out his phone and takes a nonchalant selfie with it... before snapping a proper photo.

"How curious..." He remarks, sliding the phone back into his pocket before reaching for a luxury ball clipped to his belt. He, too, had his reservations about this pokemon and the woman hosting this gift. Unlike Razz Kingsman , however, he doesn't harbor nearly as much aggression.

Instead, he summons HERSCHEL the SHINY APPLIN after a short toss. And, after briefly and joyously bouncing about, the little green apple bathes in the shower of cherry blossom provided and acquires a new skill.

Like Remiel Calcifet, she's quick to snap a photo but soon dips her head in greeting as she tries to commit every detail of this strange deity to mind.

A rustle from her satchel allows a tiny ball of green to poke her head free, her eyes laying upon Enamorous as her paws clasp tight to fabric. Something seemingly draws the Shaymin into the eye of the storm and Eris isn't one to miss the way her posture grows taut with attention. Looking to Reiner, Eris gently pats his shoulders and gives a weak smile as she nudges her head towards the storm. His response is a wide-eyed stare, his claws quietly digging into the ground as he pushes his weight into his front paws.

"I'll go with you, cmon..." She hums, ruffling his mane as she leads the way. And he eventually follows, keeping plastered to her left as they step into the swirling petals.
