The little stretch of farmland outside Oldale Town is seeing its fair share of bustling activity as Spring slowly creeps into Hoenn. A handful of Mudsdale occupy the farthest rows of soil, dragging plows behind them in unerringly uniform lines, tilling the soil into a lush, dark bed waiting to host the next round of crops.

Regarding crops, Beau and his Swampert, Nemo, have set up shop near a stand of tiny green buds that the elderly farmer who led them here assures will be a bumper crop of radishes, with their help. "Alright, brah," Beau nods to Nemo, "Time to give 'em a drink!"

That's all the encouragement Nemo needs before he sets to sending Water Pulses in an orderly barrage up one row of radishes and down the other, each blast accompanied by a high-pitched whine. Some of the beds end up looking a -little- more waterlogged than others, but the dry soil soon drinks up the hydration all the same. Beau sways a little on his feet from proximity to the Swampert, his eyes going crossed due to Nemo's choice of water delivery, but it's in the name of a good cause, right? Right?

Being the little helper Combee he is, when Toshiaki heard a farm was in need of aid (specifically Water Pokemon) he jumped on the opportunity. Azumaril also had similar feelings, loving to help others in need just like his trainer. As they approach the plots of dirt Azumaril bounces into place eager to get started. Toshiaki grins, then points out to the long stretched field. He pats the blue Pokemon on the pat encouragingly. [break][break]
“Alright, Bubba! Use Rain Dance!”[break][break]
Azumaril gets into position, doing little steps and twirls, before summoning forth a mighty rain cloud out of nowhere! It’s a nice gentle drizzle that gradually accelerates bigger and bigger to get the amount of water they need to dampen the soil. Though there was no real way to tell, the little sprouts in the ground seemed pleased! [break][break]
Azumaril happily waddles back to his trainer, falling into a sweet embrace. Toshiaki lifts Azumaril up and laughs. “Good boy! Now let’s see if we can help out some more. Alright?”[break][break]

Signing up her Walrein to help water the crops seemed a more than helpful way to spend her afternoon. Thus, Georgette was shaded beneath a straw hat, with long sleeves to cover her arms, and a pair of sturdy work boots with her walrus lazily undulating behind her. Pulling a fan from her satchel to cool herself, a warm smile is spared the farmer she speaks with, her instructions given to look after the lettuce.

With a sharp nod, she turns and calls over her Walrein to the neat rows of planted produce and knees down in the pale soil. "You can use Brine for me, no?" she asks softly as she reaches out, lightly scratching beneath her pokemon's chin for encouragement. "It must be a gentle one, aim up." With a nod of her head, the Walrein shuffles a few inches forwards and, after a deep inhale of air, tips her head skywards. A strong jet of water bursts towards the heavens, the stream splitting into myriad droplets to shower down upon the lettuce heads.

Overseeing her Walrein's work, Georgette and her pokemon move row to row, each well-placed Brine showering down upon the field to soak into the greedy ground; more than once the light catches just right, allowing a rainbow to ephemerally shimmer into view.

it is time for spring crops!

too bad it's really hot out. not to worry, however, as many wonderful volunteers have made it all the way to sunny oldale town. among those volunteers is an aged blastoise, one who looks like it's been through rough times.

despite that, it still wears a bright smile on its face as it starts shooting its HYDRO PUMP across the field, showering crops and plants and all with its magical water.

Elinor gazed upon the fields of Oldale. Clad in a business suit she looked certainly out of place. But here she was ready to help to do some farm work, or rather her Pokémon was. She was going to do nothing but drink a cold can of the latest local craft beer, and watch her Azumarill do all of the work.

But Aatos the Azumarill didn’t mind! With an energetic “Zuuuu!” it went to work, finding its designated spot. Remembering the words spoken to it as it took stock of the area he had to water. “Zu Zu.” It muttered to itself. He would have to start from the side and slowly work his way through.

And so the Azumarill went to work, gathering water in its mouth and spewing it forth upon the designated parts of the field in the most slobbering way possible in the shape of the wimpiest hydro Blast known to man and Pokémon alike.

Well, it had been some time since the Blastoise had been sent outside of the ranch. It had almost been getting a little lazy, lounging about. But its Trainer had set about ensuring that would change. And what better use for a Blastoise than to water things? Blastoise literally had a water cannon. It looked like a giant watering can. It was perfect!

So Watering Can Blastoise was out to protect the plants from devastation. Because trying to spray them directly would only flood the entire farm though, “Watering Can” quite literally described how Josh had ordered Bastilo to operate. Tipping its cannons over and sprinkling a bit at a time. Which it had a surprising amount of control in doing.

Let’s just hope it keeps that control.

Once again farms on the outskirts of Oldale Town were requesting help with their harvests. However, instead of needing weedwhackers, this time the farmers asked for Water-type Pokémon to lend a hand with watering their crops.

Spring was now in full-force and the temperatures around Hoenn were beginning to rise, so this Poké Job wasn't all that unusual. Barnaby figured he could spare his dear Evangeline at least for one day, and therefore signed them up for a convenient time over the weekend.

The abnormally-colored STARMIE shone brightly beneath the morning sun, their periwinkle gem glinting beautifully under a sheen of water currently spouting from the crest of their top arm. Their work was efficient and perfectly timed: the crops received about 10 seconds of watering, Evangeline wheeled a few feet to the side, continued spraying, rinse and repeat.

While Adriana generally prefers helping Pokemon over people, sometimes the situation dictates that she needs to help out in other areas. That’s what’s brought her to a farm on the outskirts of Oldale Town, as their crops have been suffering under a drought. [break]

She’s here with Duk W, trying to find any solution for this drought. The little Ducklett has been wandering the farm squirting water on each individual plant while Adriana talks to the owners of the land, making small talk and seeing how they’re doing. A good Ranger is connected to the people as much as she’s connected to the land, or at least that’s what she’s told.[break]

As she steps away from the farmers, she smiles at Duk W doing her best. But she can speed it up. “Alright! Let’s do a RAIN DANCE!”[break]

Duk W hears her and starts dancing around, quacking as storm clouds brew overhead. One drop falls, then another, and soon it’s raining, the once-wilted crops quickly reacting and blooming once more.
