GYM INFORMATION[break][break]

Lavaridge's gym is a particularly popular tourist spot. Located in the midst of the famous hot springs and surrounded by beautiful Japanese maple trees that are almost always in full bloom, it's a no-brainer why this gym is a popular stop for many passersby. The building in question is a lot more open concept after Stormy Silph inherited the rights to it.[break][break]

The gym is surrounded by brilliantly designed black wood towers that burn with a continuous flame. The battlefield itself is made of flattened bedrock, almost like a slab of slate. Due to its location, the gym itself is in plain sight for visiting tourists enjoying a day at the spa and hot springs. In fact, Lavaridge gym is almost exclusively run alongside the spa. Because of this, a good portion of the gym's funding comes from people staying at the nearby hotel and watching gym battles take place from their spot in the pools. Of course, mandatory papers are signed to prevent lawsuits from occurring as a result of accidental injury. The hot springs are located fairly close to the battlefield and, due to Stormy's ground-type preferences, sometimes things get a little hairy.[break][break]

Lavaridge holds many festivals and celebrations on the battlefield when it's not in use, due to its incredible beauty and heritage.[break][break]

BATTLE REGULATIONS[break][break]

• SIZE LIMIT » Giant Pokemon are permitted but are under strict orders to not cause severe damage to the hot springs. In addition to this, an alternate battle style will be proposed should you bring forward Pokemon like Steelix. Giant water type's like Wailord and Gyarados aren't recommended due to the lack of adequate water access.
• TWO ON TWO » Unless otherwise agreed upon the battles will be two on two.
• POKEMON LIMIT » A limit of two pokemon per person is the standard in the gym. It can be changed if both players agree to more.
• ALTERNATE BATTLE » Should there be a concern for public safety, Stormy has built an alternate gym deep into Mt. Chimney. This battle is a test of trust and compatibility, however. In the beginning, it will be a race to get to the top of a flat plateau. The path is unstable and rocky, it is never the same. Once at the battlefield, it will be a show of strength and endurance. This battle is exclusively reserved for rare circumstances in which the Pokemon the challenger wishes to use aren't safe for public viewing.

IMPORTANT TIPS[break][break]

• Gym battles usually take place on a flat stretch of bedrock. It is surrounded by the local hot springs and is wide open. Tourists often watch.
• Stormy uses primarily fire-type and ground-type Pokemon. This may include any assortment of typings, however.
• Those who are openly affiliated with Team Rocket will be arrested on sight and not given a chance at a battle.
• Be aware that the hot spring water is very hot - water type Pokemon in need of it will very likely be burned.
• In the case of the alternate battle style, those who do not reach the top of the plateau in a reasonable time will not be given a chance at a battle. In addition, if Stormy feels that the partnership between you and your team is not strong enough - she may refuse you.
• Creativity is encouraged! There is very little restriction to what you can do as long as both sides are in agreement beforehand. Feel free to combine multiple abilities to try and overpower.
• If you have an infamy level of less than 25, Stormy may not know who you are and would, therefore, prefer to get to know you first. She's passionate about seeing trainers and Pokemon bonding and therefore is inclined to know who you are as a person.
