Of course it would be her brother who show up to tease her. She expected nothing less, actually. The youngest Morales give her older brother a look at could kill, thin eyes peering past the rim of a scarf. Her petite figure didn’t hold heat well so bundling up was the only option.

Eva gave Pearl a knowing glance, and together they both heaved their beautifully built bottom towards Ollie to smash a piece of his Snowboy back into chunks of snow. The Professor lit up in laughter, the cheerful sound ringing out across the park.

Before settling back down to recreate the bottom, she gave some familiar faces a little wave (Gunner Graves, luka chêne, PENELOPE LIVY, Hideo Kino, Eris Halla, Elisabeth Fiorelli).

Eva and the Glaceon proceed to rebuild their bottom while annalise henderson shows off the Eevee’s adorable outfit, “Awww that’s so cute!!! I should get you something, huh, Pearl?” the eeveelution’s ears twitch. Being an ice-type she didn’t need an outfit but it’d sure be super cute!

Perhaps he was rushing things by starting with a top, but he had his own way of putting these snowboys together. As long as the completed product impressed the Darmanitan judge that checked it over, he’d be content.

And maybe if he accidentally made too many of a single part, he could spin it as all part of the plan? Like he was making a snowboy that had undergone mega evolution.

His Vulpix continued to blow snow everywhere, taking notice to someone (Eva Morales ) waving towards Hideo. He pranced over towards Hideo, letting out a few yips to try and get the boy’s attention? “What’s up?” Hideo responded, “See someone we know?”

Unfortunately, the wave would go unreciprocated - for now.

For all of her normal grumpiness and even-keel presentation, Kieran Roth was undoubtedly good at provoking her more childish and competitive side. Maybe that was just an innate thing for brothers to do, but their level of cutthroat brutality when it came to snowboys and different sorts of games was next level.[break][break]

That said, she was going make him wish his snowboy had never been born. Er, rolled together.[break][break]

"Sand is nowhere near the same as snow," she retorted, not looking up from where she was kneeling in the snow, fastidiously packing together the most pristine ball she could manage. Then she would roll it larger, and that would be that. It was all about technique. "So yes, I do think so." It was only then that she glanced up, shooting her twin a smug look. "Try not to bear hug yours this time~" Because yeah, of course she hadn't forgotten last year's debacle.[break][break]

Even if he suspected foul play, she was innocent! That was all Kieran's own clumsiness. Her cubchoo...Cubby, sat in a little snowpile nearby. Turning, she fixed a little set of stantler antlers to his head. "Hold these for me while I build this okay?" The tiny bear sounded his agreement, and shook some powderized snow from his fur, which caused the little bells on the antlers to jingle brightly.

The bells were jingling, the snow was glistening, it was the perfect cozy afternoon for a day out in the snow.

They would've came matching had not for the delibird dropping their package and ruining the matching set, but alas, they'd make do.

adelina thought a part of hoenn was that it wasn’t supposed to get cold enough to snow, not even in the winter months. which meant she was, unfortunately, less bundled up than she had planned to be when she got the text from marilee beaufort , encouraging her to go to some snow-related event.

it seemed she hadn’t been the only one unprepared for this; on the way there, she had saw a flash of pale yellow primula hanging from a basket on someone’s porch and dusted with snow. it looked like they had, unfortunately, been expecting warmer weather.

it was only after she got there, shivering and breath coming in clouds of white, that she realized her mistakes. one was that she didn’t really know anyone here, besides mari, and two was that being in the cold without any actual warm clothes was going to make her sick again.

Unlike his boyfriend who ran like a stove, Bird here… well, Bird here was a child of winter.

(Which was kind of hilarious in and on itself, really. How did someone meant to live in a colder part of the world end up in one of the hottest regions that existed? Chance, really.)

“Please? If you don’t want to build a snowman, at least come along with me to check out what’s going on?” he continued, whipping out the ‘Wooloo eyes’ and literally trying to butter him up.

One of his six Delibird, Moroz (the ringleader) waddled on ahead with a Santa hat giving out gifts to the first Pokémon (or human) that he would see.

Luka’s smile remains, but now it seems almost pasted on. And even though she knows Locke Jamison hadn’t done so on purpose, they’d just twisted the knife into a very sore spot. [break][break]

”I’m not sure,” she answers vaguely. Would Remiel Calcifet dare to show his face here? She can’t be sure. ”Monsieur Calcifet must be very busy this time of year, so…” [break][break]

The flock of Delibird that suddenly descend upon them seem to be quite literally heaven sent. It’s a welcome distraction from her current discomfort- cooing over cute birds is far better than ruminating on ex-boyfriends. Vanilla joins the fun as well, her powder snow dousing the group in even more flurries and turning Luka’s hair into a field of frost covered primroses. [break][break]

And it’s more than just snowflakes in the air. Just like last year, mischief abounds as snowballs start to fly. With a giggle, Luka bends to make her own and lobs it over at Locke Jamison with a cheeky grin. ”Think fast!” [break][break]

She quickly ducks, preparing for retaliation. More snowballs come together and she lobs one over at Eva Morales, just for fun, but it goes wide and ends up in Gunner Graves’s direction instead. Oops!

How awesome was it to have a winter wonderland right outside your hometown? Falling snow, stalls selling all kinds of edible and non-edible goods, and even an ice rink were basically right in Julia's own backyard! And all the proceeds were going to the Rangers! Of course, she couldn't forget the pièce de résistance: the snowboy competition.

[break][break]With Hoenn being Hoenn, it usually didn't get cold enough to have this much snow, at least not near Fortree. Yet the region had again proven its resilience by turning the instability caused by Meteno into a celebration and a way to help out the Rangers, who, in turn, would continue helping the region. Everything leading up to this had been rough, to say the least, but the sight before put a bright smile on Julia's face. They really could overcome anything, couldn't they?

[break][break]Snuffles the Piloswine walked at her side, both so she could enjoy the festivities and so she could help Julia with any potential balance issues. Julia was glad that Snuffles wasn't as gung-ho about running for food as she had been as a Swinub, or else the food stalls might be in trouble right about now. Her snout did twitch as she sniffed the air and gave some interested snorts, though.

[break][break]"We'll grab you a treat once we find a place to set up," Julia said, petting Snuffles's shaggy side. It had been tough figuring out a "costume" for the Swine Pokémon, so Julia had settled on a Santa hat balanced on her head and hand-knit tusk covers and booties with holiday patterns on them. Her mom was totally awesome for making those. Julia, of course, was also bundled up for the weather, complete with a holiday bobble hat.

[break][break]There were already plenty of familiar faces, including some of her fellow Rangers, but there was one in particular that stuck out to her: Hideo Kino. He seemed to be alone, sans his snowy Vulpix. Julia totally needed to fix that.

[break][break]"Hey!" she called as she approached, waving before she realized he wouldn't see it. Force of habit! "Hideo, right? It's me, Julia. We caught a Wooloo thief together this summer." She wasn't trying to be patronizing, honest! She just wasn't sure if he'd remember her from that one encounter.

Much like his time in the salon, Jesse focused heavily on the details. He needed to make the shape of his snowboy just right. An awkward wave was offered to Alecis' question as to how he was doing. He wasn't doing too bad, but he felt he wasn't doing too well either. Gloved hands carefully packed some snow into a spherical form in an attempt to roll it into something worthwhile for his work of art. Snow was a lot harder to work with than hair was, but as long as he took his time, then surely it would come out quite well. Something wiggled about in the opening of his coat as his Zorua popped its head out, sporting a knitted hat with reindeer antlers and a dark red fake nose to match the tuft of fur on the top of its head and complete the reindeer ensemble.

"Well, all things considered, I like to think I'm doing pretty well. It's a different art form than what I'm used to, but I think we'll both manage."

Once the snow was packed firmly enough, Jesse began to roll it around on the ground to gather up more snow to properly suit the shape of his snowboy. Some others had gathered and had been doing well so far, but he seemed too focused on his own work to really care about the idea of sabotage. (While he wasn't above the idea, it was still fairly early to do much of anything, he felt.) With the first portion of his snowboy ready, Jesse stood back and marveled at it.

The idea of decorating snowmen seemed absolutely delightful! The coordinator seemed keen to work on some of the more rudimentary parts first, but muse could be a fickle mistress when it came to designing. From the looks of it, each snowboy needed four key components to be marked as ready. As Flynt turned his head to see the Darmanitan judge hopping from side to side, he couldn't help but offer a wave. Much to his pleasure, the pokemon stopped just briefly to wave back at him.

"Who do you think will make the better snowboy? I've never really done anything like this, but here's hoping, really."

His vote wenty without saying -- Flynt had no doubt that Pippa would be the better of the who when it came to crafting a snowboy. All he could do was put his best foot forward and begin to pack the snow into a ball form. The snow didn't seem too firm, as it had begun to flake away in his hands, but he did his best to form a starting piece. Despite the way he tried to focus, he couldn't help but look around to try and take in everyone else's, only to narrowly miss the way a snowball came flying in his direction.

"Oh! Seems like people are going to do anything to win this contest!"

There seemed something fun about the idea of building snowmen-- Err, snowboys. They weren't mature enough to be men, most likely. It wasn't a thing Danny thought long on because he lacked the braincells capable of putting the thought into something concise. Instead, he allowed his body to flop into the snow, face buried in the powdery scape before them as he flailed his arms up and down to make a snow angel that just simply faced the wrong way. As he popped his head up, his face already seemed red from the way he exposed it to the elements head on just like that.

"Dude, my dude, are you taking part in Whamageddon this year? You gotta like, avoid hearing the song Last Christmas by Wham until like December 24th. Covers are fine and dandy, just not the actual song."

Danny always liked to take part in stupid challenges he found online. Now that he was seated upward, he began to form his snowboy bit by bit. Most would start with the base, but knowing Danny, he'd likely work on his snowboy ass-backwards. At least he had enough sense to wear mittens, but that was likely due to Micah's influence. Fortunately for him, she took into consideration his carelessness in keeping warm for the winter.

Well fuck all kinds of various ducks, here he was freezing his ass off and other people were just going about merrily like it was some kinda normal happenstance. The silver haired dealer stood with his arms crossed over his chest as if to try and retain his own body heat. He didn't know how or why Taiga convinced him to come out in this horse shit, but he knew he was freezing. Jaskier cupped his hands in front of his mouth and blew hot air on them to try and get some feeling back in his gloved fingers.

"Y'know, the holidays are for a season of giving, and you know what I want for the holidays? A green Christmas because this snow shit is ridiculous."

Once he felt warm enough, Jaskier decided to take part in the festivities and begin to shape some snow. That didn't stop him from bitching the entire time, of course. For someone born in a place known for its cold weather, he sure was a little bitch about the cold. That was a key factor as to why he left Sinnoh, but he wasn't here to focus on the past. He was here to focus on freezing in the damned present.

"not doing too well, huh?" alecis added to jesse's concern in a forward and verbal manner, her dittos now on her shoulders and arms crawling about her like bugs as if to avoid the watchful eye of the darmanitan that just seemed to fix the snow lump on its head out of frustration at how poorly this was going so far. fortunately, the rocket member had a plan: [break]
start sabotaging as soon as others' snowboys were looking better than theirs.[break]
"this is a competition, right?" wrong, but she didn't quite have much of anyone to tell her otherwise. "let's scout out the competition once we're closer to being done with this," she strategized with the blonde man - going about rolling her own balls of snow and letting out her poor honedge that was dressed to the gills like santa's sleigh. instead of a proper mega evolution, it had been evolved into some bastardized form of holiday transportation. hopping atop the pokemon, alecis used it as a form of hoverboard as she tried to look around at some other snowmen really quickly before returning.

pippa couldn't help but let out a silent curse whenever a snowball narrowly missed flynt. this wasn't exactly a winter version of a potential wet white shirt moment, but a hoe could wish. [break]
"ah ..." a rare expression of disappointment came out audibly, a cartoon tear hanging off of her eye before it was quickly wiped off for the pinkette to start packing the second ball of ice on a suggestively long rod of snow. "i'm sure you will make the best snowboy, for you are the one and only snow man in my eyes! ♥" hearts basically flew off of pippa's head as she cupped one of her cheeks in a cold gloved hand, having finished the phallic snow piece she had been sculpting with great detail and painstaking effort. "do you think this isn't big enough?" she asked flynt, also offering a glance to the darmanitan judge who seemed to just stare ahead at her, dead in the eyes in response.
