If it weren't for the fact that El was on Heidrun's back, they would've paused to give Yuina's words some consideration. But as the Gogoat kept moving, they'd mull it over. "I guess that could happen... Supernatural stuff can be funky." They soon responded, glancing about. "But Baron and I haven't seen anything amiss yet, besides spooky ghosts lurking about."

She did have a point though; if they didn't keep their wits about them, it was very well possible for that masked maiden to send everyone going in circles.

But speaking of spooky ghosts... It was quickly becoming apparent that the group wasn't alone. The howling about them was more than just the wind - agitated spirits and ghost-types alike seeming to emerge to surround the group!

Baron was quick to step forth in defense, his polearm striking forth with Night Slash (70) and Spirit Break (75) alike...!

El would not be idle amongst this - getting down from Heidrun's back to switch the gogoat out for the Dark-type Ysera. Though one might think a Hydreigon volatile, in the face of danger the dragonness simply let loose a low rumble, her heads scanning the area.

"H-Help Baron push the ghost-types back!" El called.

Which, Ysera would not hesitate to lend her aid; using her great body to protect the group from enemy blows, and her heads rising in a chorus of bellows, as Draco Meteors (130) rained down upon the battlefield..! Amidst the powerful attack, snow and ghost-types were thrown about; briefly obscuring one's vision.

As the snow settled... Though the attacks certainly pushed back the ghosts, the onslaught was tenacious. What would they need, to get out of here?

Perhaps the glow of a Moonlight would do the trick? The purified dragon's light - though intended to be her way to mend herself - seemed to pacify or distract the spirits. El wasn't sure which, but they weren't going to question it, instead turning to Yuina.

"C'mon, l-let's get out of here, before t-they attack again." El spoke - climbing up to Ysera's back, and nudging her forward. She would fly low to the ground for Yuina's benefit, Baron following on foot with ease.

It wouldn’t take too long before Lars had finally managed to make a reasonable getaway from the corrupted specters that were chasing him.

“Mamma mia…” he grumbled with a sigh as once he’d put good distance between whatever the fuck was chasing him—he managed to slow down and catch his breath a little. His Rotom and Greninja had kept up with him so far, and so he looked at the two.

“Nice work. You can rest for now,” and with that he recalled the two exhausted Pokémon back into their respective containment units.

“Damn it, I could use some hot coffee right about now…” he grumbled as he gritted his teeth.

He’d actually recalled his Gardevoir while making their getaway from the twisted malevolent forces that wanted to leech them of their energy, and so he was surprised to see that… he wasn’t alone.

“Oh, thank goodness,” he breathed out, a sigh of relief escaping him. “I never thought I’d be able to find someone else in this maze!”

His Absol then saw her Lucario, before inclining her head to one side in welcome. Her own quiet little way of acknowledging the other’s presence.

“Have you found a way out of here?” he would ask her so far, taking their offer to sit down and catch their breath. After everything that happened so far, he definitely needed a danged break!

Dangit, why did he feel like having some hot chocolate right about now would do for a good morale boost?!

It wouldn’t take too long before he would eventually recall the Gyarados and leave the Hydreigon out before they finally slowed down and he could slither to the ground; gasping out of sheer, utter terror.

He thought he saw something through the dense, thick white fog when he heard a familiar voice calling to him—wait, was that another one of the tricks the fog was trying to entice him to fall for?!

No, wait, it was…

“Miss Elise?!” he exclaimed, letting out the biggest sigh of relief he didn’t realize he was holding in.

“I am so f—fucking glad to see you!” he wailed before approaching her and just. Shaking like a leaf.

His Hydreigon, on the other hand, could only sigh out of exasperation. Some tough guy his human companion claimed to be!

Thus far, what El had experienced held up, the same as Yuina before they'd found each other. The maze was never ending, and there were ghosts at every turn. If there was nothing else that was in here to plan their demise... It would be a miracle...[break]
"We'll hope that holds up...," Yuina remarked as their two Pokemon trudged forward through the powdery snow, but the both of them spoke far too soon. An entire horde of ghosts and... Spirits? Things much more malicious and definitely not Pokemon swarmed them within the maze. Ayashi huffed, stomping his hooves as Yuina worked to keep herself atop the deer, but El had rushed in to the fray, trying to sway the encounter in their favor.[break][break]
"Daikenki, go," Yuina coughed, the cold air getting into her lungs as she took out another Pokeball, and at her word the Samurott rushed forward, seamitars at hand and began to slash at the swarms of spirits with his Ceaseless Edge.[break][break]
"El, hurry let's go," Yuina called as Daikenki rushed to clear some more encroaching spirits with his blade, making sure El had the opportunity. They mounted their Hydreigon, and Daikenki stuck close to Baron as they ran, and Yuina motioned Ayashi forward as they started through another section of the maze.

Sio's in just about the same condition, save for her hovering observation over everyone- but that's fine. She can let the others rest while she keeps watch if need be.

Especially when one considers that Kuro had taken the brunt of the damage, however small- it makes sense that Sio would want to ensure the Zorua was in tip top shape. Being a scrooge was something Sio felt was reserved for more solitary situations, after all.

As Kuro perks up and carefully takes the caramel from Sio's hand, though, the detective can't help but give her own soft, amused chuckle. "Well of course; that would be nice. Perhaps I'll give it a few more as we go along. A little token of gratitude, if you will," she responds, just as humorously and hopefully. To her, the little kit behaved much like a cat- a food motivated one, but that's nothing she's unfamiliar with. But of course, she'd have to see how the rest of this journey pans out. Perhaps song could help them pass the time? Maybe it was just the time of year, but she's definitely certain that the tune to Carol of the Bells is stuck in her he-

Makoto smiles a little at Sio's response. "Just... Not too many in one day; it's a lot of sugar for one Zorua, otherwise." They speak softly, scritching Kuro under the chin. The fact that he hadn't returned to their shadow right away was a good sign - even if it was still being rather shy about Sio.

As Itia began to whistle though, Makoto would glance in the Phantump's direction for a moment, before chuckling. Softly, they'd whistle Carol of the Bells with it - joining in the little carol the best that they could.

The group, perhaps, needed this little bit of levity after that fight.

With time, as the group fled, the distant sounds of the spirits and ghost-types would begin to fade; leaving only the sound of the wind and the crunch of snow to fill their ears.

Gradually, Ysera slowed to a less breakneck speed - the dragonness rumbling softly as one of her heads glanced back the way they came. But seeing no danger, she'd relax - instead turning her gazes upon Yuina and co.

El, too, would glance to the others - asking "A-are you guys okay? Noone hurt?" They would've checked on Ysera - but with her Moonlight, she was able to keep herself in more-or-less tiptop shape without too much need for assistance.

But, with the frenzied retreat they had made, El quickly realizes... That they were, perhaps, a little lost, having lost track of where they had left off with their stick-to-the-right system. "I... Which way s-should we go from here?"

They were sure that the group had passed by a few turns back the way they came - but they also didn't want to risk running back into the hostile spirits by backtracking... But just going forward could mean that they were skipping up the right path completely!

At the question, Ettie would tilt her head a little - before shaking her head. "Ettie don't know." She spoke honestly, with a little shrug. All she'd really been doing was wandering - and it worked for her thus far... But how much further was there to go, she wondered? "Friend don't know, either?"

But, in the meantime, she'd glance between the two - before offering "Is hurt? Is hungry? Ettie can help, or share." If they were just as lost as she and her pack were, then she might as well try to give some aid where she could, right?

"Of course, of course. I wouldn't want him to get sick, after all," Sio responds, nodding matter-of-factly. It still would be nice, she thinks, if he grew more comfortable around her. She always imagined the kit's fur was just as soft if not more so than any other Zorua's- perhaps like a nice pair of mittens or a knitted scarf. But ah, well, she'd cross that bridge when she gets to it.

For now, she's more than content to listening to Itiá and Makoto caroling. And in all honesty, it's not very long before she begins to hum along, too; it's an easy melody to catch onto, after all.

And so comes serenity, a more than welcome guest amongst the group.

Funny how these things work, right?

After he’d managed to complete the getaway from where he did not want to get stuck, he then realized he could hear…

“Mamma mia,” he swore quietly.

Why was he hearing the whisperings of the dead, and what made it worse all of the whisperings were in Alto Marean! It was like someone had turned on the language ‘filter’ and suddenly smacked him back home—even though he was all the way out here in Hoenn.

Strange how these things happen, hm?

“I’ve been walking around a while,” he sighed as he then made himself comfortable, while his Absol then lay down on her belly, crossing her paws one over the other before setting her head down atop them.

“I keep passing the same tree back there,” he added as he pointg a thumb behind him; indicating a spindly-looking, skeletal tree that seemingly had a ‘face’ pattern on its trunk. Like it was mocking them.

He then began searching in his pockets before finding something—wait, what was that—and then pulled out a piece of candy, before holding it out to her.

“You want it?” he offered, before realizing he hadn’t introduced himself to her yet.

“My name’s Jack.”

“I c-could do with some hot chocolate right about n-now,” he shivered quietly; right as a cold wind blew around them. Hoping that they weren’t just being lured to their doom, he sighed.

“H-have you n-noticed… like, any way we c-can get out of here? Or are… or did you get lost when you came out here to explore?” he followed up a few moments later while he was rubbing his hands together.

When she comes to see Alexei in all of his scaredy-cat frame, the female royal couldn’t help but feel bad for the guy. I was also sent here when I came to Route 121 to hunt down for more ghost Pokemon.” A sigh came from the Galarian royal since there was snow and no exit that she could see. “If you want, I can make a wish to give us some hot chocolate. Mana can join in too.” Elise’s hands clasp together as she would utter her wish to the grey sky.[break][break]

“Give us hot chocolate if there is a god of fortune out there.” As Elise tries making her wish, her Mismagius closes her eyes in making her own too.
