THE GAUNTLET [attr="class","omgenmid"] MEMBER EVENT - ROCKET PVP BATTLE ROYALE MEGATHREAD PARTICIPANTS ONLY [player]https://file.garden/ZWyHNtDjIhZcqtBS/HOENN-Music/Guilty-Gear-Strive-Smell-of-the-Game.mp3[/player] 🎼 "Smell of the Game (Instrumental Version)" - Guilty Gear -Strive- [break] IN THE CHAOS OF BATTLE
FORCED INTO CLOSER QUARTERS, THE EIGHT ROCKETS ENGAGE IN AN ALL-OUT BRAWL. In the wake of the loss of their ally, Gerald Kaiser and Fenelle Miller resume their offensive, their CHARIZARD and ORTHWORM working in tandem. They team up against Hitoshi Inoue's KINGAMBIT, a combination of FLARE BLITZ and IRON TAIL wailing upon the beetle. [break][break]
KINGAMBIT retaliates against CHARIZARD with SUCKER PUNCH while GOUGING FIRE attempts to break through ORTHWORM'S HARDENED skin with BURNING BULWARK and RAGING FURY. [break][break]
Unfortunately for Hitoshi Inoue, parker jones's IRON BOULDER slams into his KINGAMBIT with MIGHTY CLEAVE. The two lock horns, distracting KINGAMBIT long enough to suffer a blow from Gerald Kaiser's CHARIZARD'S AIR SLASH. [break][break]
From seemingly out of nowhere, an ICE BEAM from kepler brueshaber's GOLURK strikes dorian westcliff's GOUGING FIRE. Ice crystals form along its body as it tries to endure the attack, but ultimately, the ice overcomes it, locking up its limbs. [break][break]
Both SMOKESCREEN and SANDSTORM kick up, obscuring the battle from participants and spectators alike. In a fury, both IRON BOULDER and GOUGING FIRE lash out at any enemies nearby with GIGA IMPACT and OUTRAGE. [break][break]
But by that point, Gerald Kaiser's CHARIZARD has picked up Fenelle Miller's ORTHWORM and taken to the skies, leaving only a SHED TAIL to soak damage. The KOWTOWN CLEAVE from Hitoshi Inoue's KINGAMBIT strikes nothing. [break][break]
The arena quakes violently as kepler brueshaber's GOLURK comes crashing out of a PHANTOM FORCE, brought low by the YAWN of Kazuya Yoshida's WOOPER. Another ICE BEAM from the golem clashes with MUDDY WATER from the small amphibian, before it unleashes an EARTHQUAKE on the entire platform. [break][break]
parker jones's IRON BOULDER is caught in the crossfire, as well as DANE FAIRCHILD's TYRANITAR in it attempts to crush its foes with ROCK SLIDE. Instead, the EARTHQUAKE knocks it off balance, and it succumbs to its own attack.
END OF THE ROUND Once again, an alarm blares and the lights of the arena turn red, while the screen beneath the observation deck reads, "STOP." Zev Harcourt's voice crackles over the loudspeaker. [break][break]
[break]
As before, the door opens in the wall, allowing the four named participants to exit through it. It closes without a sound. [break][break]
[break]
The outer edge of the platform trembles once more, collapsing into the pit below, forcing the four remaining fighters into even closer quarters. What remains of the arena is the pond in its center, ringed by a thin copse of trees. [break][break]
The now-familiar bell chimes again and the lights return to their normal, yellow-white color. The screen says, "BEGIN." [break][break]
REMINDER: THIS EVENT ICLY TAKES PLACE IN MAY, AFTER PRISMATIC PENITENTIARY.
