Makoto blinks a second, as Fenelle Miller joins them. But as dee 'speaks' to them, they smile a little. "Happy to have you. It's... honestly a beautiful sight, even if a bit scarily vast." They confess to dem. It's likely clear to see that Makoto grows more comfortable around Fenelle with each interaction - they might well consider calling dem a friend at this point, much like Tempest Quinn or howard slayte .

At the question of how they felt though, well... Makoto thinks for a second before they respond. "The take-off was definitely rattling... And being so far from Hoenn, so high up, is a wild experience. But... I'm otherwise feeling okay."

As Alba Evovae approaches and speaks, their more softspoken countenance comes back in ever so slightly - by no fault of Alba's besides that they still needed time to warm up. But they still nod to him in response. "It's dazzling..."

... With time though, as the ride goes on in relative uneventfulness (aside from Shred 's Koraidon flipping the fuck out,) people would begin finding ways to entertain. Namely in drink and poker, it seemed.

Though Makoto had no interest in alcohol, they'd nonetheless sit down to join in on the games. That being said, they've never played poker before - and half of their playing here was a mix of watching what everyone else was doing, and having a surprisingly practiced pokerface of their own.

(Briefly, a flicker of something out of the corner of their eye grabbed their attention - but as soon as they looked, out towards one of the windows... Whatever they had seen wasn't there.)

There's a tingle at Makoto Kurumi's words, a faint smile that quickly shifts back into Fenelle's neutral state of expressionlessness as dee looks out of the window again. Dee nods in agreement. "We're usually not surrounded by that much empty- well, not exactly empty space, but ... yeah. Makes the mind expand a bit, somehow," dee returns, perhaps with an edge of awkwardness as dee tries to articulate thoughts that dee hasn't really thought of much before.

Dee also nods in agreement with Makoto's sentiments about their travels, as Alba Evovae approaches the window gang, too, remarking upon the vastness of space. "Agreed."

It's extremely late until Fenelle notices Shred's Koraidon going haywire, as it somehow managed to escape Fenelle's field of vision. However, it's fascinating - and gladly, most equipment is also quite sturdy. As a day seems to pass by with tasks and other timekillers, it's time for "evening" to approach. The Earth has turned, though it's hard to say whether they have followed its spinning or not ... but either way, games and alcohol are brought out.

A familiar sight that almost has dem leap into persona, with a broad, inviting and energetic smile flickering on his face before dee remembers. You're not Perle here. And for once, the dealer might not deal ... it's interesting, sitting on the other side of the game as dee watches the interactions unfold, with der Rotom diligently transcribing the chatter as able.

Though Fenelle really didn't need to read all of that.

Dee nods in agreement with Cillian Quinn's words as dee looks at der hand. And maybe dee should've assumed Perle after all because a sigh and a frown is almost immediately visible on der face. A bad hand, and dee immediately tries to distract, maybe similiar to Cillian, as dee catches him whispering something to Makoto Kurumi. Der eyes flicker towards them, following their look towards the window ... has there been something there?

Makoto does jump a hair as Cillian Quinn whispers to them - and there is a second where they glance between the window and him. "I... I think so?" They pause a second to consider, before continuing "I didn't get a good look - it was out of the corner of my eye. But I could've sworn I saw something... It... I think it was something pink?"

It was hard for them to say now, when they aren't sure if what they saw was even real and not just a figment of their imagination... But if Cillian, one of the most straightlaced of the group, saw something? Maybe there really was something going on...

... Their attention shifts once more to Fenelle Miller - and noticing dem gazing towards much the same window, they whisper to her to ask "Did you notice anything weird...?"

TLDR: Makoto jumps a bit when Cillian Quinn whispers to them, whispers back that they think they saw something, but only out of the corner of their eye - and that it might've been something pink. Notices Fenelle Miller glancing to the window, and whispers to dem to ask if dey noticed anything amiss.

Fenelle frowns pensively at Makoto Kurumi's question, staring more intently at the window again. Out here, they should be fairly isolated from many lifeforms, though it's not impossible for them to meet infamous aliens (probably just more pokémon ... or maybe something else entirely) out here. It doesn't seem to be just that, however, given that several's attention might be trained on the window now.

And for a glimpse.

Der eyes widen with confusion, forcing them to stay open, but perhaps the same glimpse that Naomi Sato has seen is then gone once more. It oddly feels like it's just been seen outside of the corner of der eye, too, or perhaps just before dee has closed der eyes to blink ... but it's definitely gone now.

"I believe ... what could it be?" dee ponders, noticing one head scientist leaving the table to go talk to ameena abadi. Dee looks at them with a creased eyebrow, pondering ... Dream Mist? But der attention is then called back to the cards and another hand.

There's always a last for everything, just as there's a first for everything. While der second hand looks way better than the first one, it's still ... not exactly favourable. And as dee would always be a gambler in one way or another, a new game would bring a new hand as well to contemplate while reading the idle chatter from around the table.

It doesn't distract der thoughts too much, however, as there's two things occupying der mind ... what dee has seen outside the window, and what others might also have perceived, what dee might know of Dream Mist (which, arguably, not a lot), and ... der new hand. Thanks to years of keeping der composure, dee doesn't lose it as der final hand is revealed.

Though dee closing der eyes for a moment might be a give-away, as if dee is attempting to catch up now already on any sleep dee might lose over the upcoming night.

Oscar was late to the party. He had data to log, seemingly endless numbers that could determine the difference between a successful mission and a failure. Well maybe it was not that important, but it needed to be done and Oscar wanted to get it out of the way so he could faff about for the rest of the trip. Tragically he could not get it all done in one go, and burn out would convince him to join the others in the commons in search of entertainment.

The scientist observed the poker game taking place, and would saunter up behind Cillian Quinn. He took a casual look at Cil's cards, raising an eyebrow before wandering off to grab a refreshment. "What is this, Uno?" He commented cheekily as he procured a beer. On his return trip to the table, Oscar would peek over howard slayte's shoulder to look at his cards.

He said nothing as he took a long sip of his bitter beverage. To be honest, he did not quite understand poker. It was not his thing. But if he pretended to know about the game, perhaps his leering would incite unintended shenanigans. Oscar rounded over to @shred to peek at his cards, making a "Hmmmm." sound as he passed by.

He provided subtle yet nevertheless fake reactions for everyone, patiently waiting for whatever came next.
