A MOB OF DRAMPA rage toward littleroot town. they have caught wind of a bully. the crying of some poor child must have weaseled its way through the woods and toward their dens. as they come, bearing vengeful flame in their maws, littleroot is in danger unless you beat them back— or catch them so that they feel the need to retreat.[break][break]

Absol can sense natural disasters. The disaster that heads for Littleroot is not natural, but intuition seems to alert Katas to the potential dangers of allowing the Drampa mob to run amok. He leads Orion through the surrounding forests, the ranger trusting his companion wholeheartedly.

His hackles bristle as they draw close, lip curled in a silent snarl.

Not wanting to catch the attention of the whole group, lest they turn around and focus their collective wrath upon him, Orion instead fishes an empty pokéball from his bag.

He raises a finger to his lips for quiet, but Katas doesn't need to be told. The Absol is a shadow at his side, prowling close.

When he thinks he's found a good arc for the ball, he tosses it and ducks behind a thick tree for cover.

"aw don't worry good sir. pokenger can handle anything." he was grateful for the old man's warning about the dangerous pokemon that was coming their way but kazimir was sure that he could handle it. it was one pokemon after all, and an old one by the sound of its indicators according to people. why it decided to charge into littleroot he wouldn't understand, but what he did understand was that he needed to stop it here and now before it even crosses into the town.

soon it broke through the tall grass and kazimir was a little shocked. it did look like an old man if an old man was a pokemon. he sure was pretty fast for one too. still pokenger knew he had to protect the town from any threat. even if it was an old dragon. "hey buddy! how about some retirement plans!" with that he chucked the ball at the dragon as it charged right at him, probably ignoring him all together until the light of a pokeball enveloped him.

Adrian had been in the area helping Alec contain a similar dragon resurgence, so it didn't come as much surprise when the drampa came out on mass. Whatever had lured them, he felt honorbound to help drive them back, though he did not wish to drive the wedge between the locals and the indigenous population deeper. And so he brandished a pokeball, taking out his frustrations on the drampa. How many times did they need to learn this lesson, Adrian wondered, until they finally learned from their mistakes? Well?

Alec was humming to a song while heading towards Littleroot town. His Piplup, Iris was in his arms trilling along as he hummed to the little tune. However, Alec immediately stopped humming as he had noticed a hoard of what appeared to a certain Dragon type Pokemon. Alec quickly rushed over to the side of the road and into the bushes so that he wouldn't be noticed.

"Looks like we got lucky, Iris!" Alec whispered to his little Penguin comapnion who slightly squeked softly so that she also would not draw attention to them. There was way too many of them for Alec to take on all at once, however that didn't mean he was chicken out and not try to catch one. He quickly pulled a pokeball out of his bag. He then slightly stuck his head out of the bushes to see where he was throwing the pokeball. He then chose one of the wild Pokemon quickly and tossed the poke ball at it.

"Lets hope this works!" he said excitedly, but still keeping his voice in a low tone. He would rather like to avoid becoming a snack for the hoard of Dragon Pokemon. Not to mention, Iris wouldn't forgive him of she ended up in danger as well.

Rampaging dragons are most certainly her forte, something she feels comfortable dealing with but at this point she's about ready to be done with the ones rampaging in the area. They had this problem the year before too and she wonders when the ones in the area will get over it because frankly this was:

Mostly because you could only deal with so many of them before it was simply time to pass it off to someone else and Isra was just about there.

The only thing that stops her is the oddly colored drampa amongst the many in the area, something to catch her eye. She watches and waits, letting the other do the battling this time around and when one of them is good and distracted throws the ball.

Although the man has a long way to go, the fact that he was coming close to the big three zero made him wonder what life is going to be like when he hit eighty. Would he finally have all the badges from this region? How many pokemon would he have? Would be even still be a trainer? All these questions and so many more crossed his line of thought as he strolled through the route without paying attention too much to where he was going or what was around him. Pokemon age too. How many pokemon would he have lost? Not just from old age, but from injuries and illness. His made his stomach turn. Warm colored orbs flickered to his most favorite companion, his beloved hell hound. To be honest, he had no idea how old she was or the normal life span of a houndoom. As odd as it was, Maverick could almost feel his eyes start to water at the thought of losing his Azula. However, a man doesn’t cry and he quickly changed his train of thought before someone saw him break his rough and tough imagine.

In truth, Thomas was tempted to just let the Drampa sort the bully out. Having dealt with the species before, he knew exactly what would've driven the Drampa to do this, let alone an entire mob of the things. The only problem was that if they had their way, Littleroot would pay for what a few kids did.

The worst part would be that the townsfolk would probably pin the blame on the victim, rather than the bullies. In his experience, that's the way it tended to go. With a grimace, Thomas tossed a free Pokeball at the nearest Drampa.

Drampa Discovery!

From the top of a hill bordering the stampede path of the Drampa, a bright-eyed boy with a Cyndaquil on his shoulder suddenly emerge! Covered in leaves and sticks from running through the bushes and past trees, the energetic pair are determined to cut the stampede off as quickly as possible. When they reach the center of the path, the fire rodent wastes no time in leaping off its trainer's shoulder and bracing itself as it faced the horde.

So these Drampa wanted to beat up bullies, huh? Sigmund understood, but demolishing the town in the process wasn't the way to go about it! Nor the excessive violence, for that matter. But, having heard of others who had attempted to calm them down, the Johto native knew there was no point in trying to reason with them. The best he could, for now, was try and slow them all down!

"Alright, Laiger! It's our time to shine!" He announced with raw determination in his hazel eyes as he pointed ahead. "Block the way with Eruption!"

"Cynda!" The rodent replied, igniting the blaze on its back and catching its balance again when the force of it almost knocked it on its side. Once its little paws were firm on the ground below, it would focus as the fire began to amass with incredible heat, drawing on its own life-force. Then, without warning, it would cry out as lava erupted in front of it! "CYNDAQUIIIL!" The eruptions blew chunks of rock out from below and set trees ablaze before they crashed in front of the path, creating a natural (flaming) barricade.

But wait! Surprise!

They could fly!

"Nobody told me they could FLY." Sigmund groaned, watching as several soared above the barricade while he fumbled for an empty pokéball. With hardly any preparation or aim, he cast it in an attempt to keep at least one of them from beating up some poor kid.

It was a new year with new friends and a new round of people trying to get from on end of Hoenn to the other before any more snow fell. Bo had agreed to help Ms. McConnel and her father move to Littleroot once the weather was clearer and today was the day they’d finally made it into the little town.

She hadn’t met Ms. McConnel’s father until the day they left Lilycove but she felt like she knew more about him than she would ever have guessed. The entire ride was full of stories about him or their family - punctuated only briefly by Ms. McConnel’s ‘that’s lovely’s or ‘oh, my!’s.

There were some stories, though, that Bo wasn't too sure about.

Bo had been mulling over his most recent story when a swarm of pokemon --entirely separate of the old man's story, she was sure -- burst on the scene. Maybe they were coming to quiet down the old man. Maybe his stories had driven them as mad as they’d driven Bo. Either way, Bo couldn’t really let the old man be garbled up by the Drampa who was raging towards him. She shifted the box she’d been unloading from the car and rummaged in her bag with her free hand.

If she had some sort of system, she would know that the pokeball she tossed was not Burke’s pokeball but, rather, an empty one. But she didn’t have one so she lobbed the pokeball out expecting her companion’s aid only to spook the old man away from the Drampa as it bounced off the pokemon’s head.

Avery is in Littleroot because of business. She's been scouting out new areas to open up her daycare business. Sort of. She's undecided on the concept despite it being a good idea. But was it, was it really? Could she handle that kind of pressure?[break][break]

So she stops on her heel as a familiar face in the crowd catches her attention. The scene is similar to anything she's used to, an older couple shadowed by someone younger, helpful, kind. [break][break]

But that kind stranger is Bo Locke, a very good friend of hers.[break][break]

"Bo? Bo! Is that you?"[break][break]

Avery makes a hasty step to come visit with her and introduce herself to the people she's with - only to drop to the ground as a pokeball whizzes past her face towards a dragon behind her.[break][break]

And she instinctively does the same thing because holy cow obviously she's in danger![break][break]

Today in ‘it sounded like a good idea in my head’, Annie summoned a Drampa to help corral a squad of his kind. Who knew how to calm the swarm down better than a fellow bully hunter? Unfortunately, Grampa’s experience meant that he knew exactly how hard it would be to stop them. He was sent out, took one look at the rampage, and-

Hid behind Annie. With a heavy sigh, she went for the tried and tested method of throwing a ball at a herd of angry Pokemon. It had worked so well with the Tyranitar, after all.

He had been travelling through the area at the time when the sound of many angry dragons would resound through Littleroot. Having never seen a Drampa before, it caught Josh off guard. But the creatures looked gentle, something must have set them off, right? Seeing the myriad of Trainers beginning to gather and throw Pokeballs in hopes of quelling the horde, Josh decided to follow suit. He would traverse through the trees until one came into sight, before sending out his Raichu.

"Nuzzle" Josh spoke gently toward Lightning. He didn't want to hurt them, or cause them to rampage even more. Better to Paralyze one and catch them to further thin out the horde. Lightning did as instructed, launching itself toward one of the rampaging dragons and crashing into it, paralyzing them as Josh quickly threw a Pokeball in turn.

[attr="class","threadIris]there were only so many rampaging dragons iris could handle. with the incident at oldale still fresh in her mind, she'd been tempted to find an excuse when the order had come in to stop not one, but an entire mob of drampa. blue certainly wasn't going to be any help.

she watches the storm of dragon pokemon steadily approach the town. up close, she had to admit they were kinda cute! if a bit angry, that is. her mudkip stays by her side, knowing better than to jump into the fray, and iris, unable to come up with any other solution, tosses a pokeball at the drampa leading the swarm.

[attr="class","spiral"]A mob of Drampa are reported to be migrating through Littleroot and Fernando happens to be nearby. The chance of his arrival is purely coincidental but he finds solace in the old timely town of peace. What he values is not the sentimental value of the rural blot on the map but the secrecy and seclusion that it provides from an otherwise bustling region.

His dreams are shattered when the sound of fireworks go off in the distance and many of the residents celebrate New Years early with a wild array of fireworks. Many of the elderly stand outside their homes and make a community circle around the town's square to watch the glimmer light's of the holiday celebration.

He has a job to do and he pursues it with an efficiency that allows him to enter and leave Littleroot without causing so much as a scene.
