the mage arrives at the scene with the most energetic, if not obnoxious, laugh. he saunters in, positions himself right in front of the sword, and yells at the inanimate object to assert his dominance.

"dying is for losers!"

his hand wraps around the hilt, and so does the ribbon around it on his arm. priam tries to pluck the sword out from where it is stuck in and promptly dies from attempting to do so.

The hilt had been cold, ice cold. It had absorbed her life force almost immediately. It was clear that it was waiting for someone or something, and she hadn't been it at the time. But she refused to give up - there was a chance she could pull that sword.[break][break]

Maybe if she did, she could class swap to warrior and dump this stupid wand. Warriors were way stronger and way cooler than some squishy mage. Why couldn't she wear heavy armor? [break][break]

Dying was terrifying, but this wasn't nearly as dramatic or traumatizing as dying to another player. Watching them grin down at you while they loot your dead body was just.. morbid.[break][break]

When she respawns, the next day has begun and she's ready to brave the mysterious Honedge once again. After all, it's an achievement or something to successfully pull it out and she had been told that getting achievements were a good thing. Right?[break][break]

So there were rumors of a sword stuck somewhere in a stone in a creepy old cemetery.

Had anyone even succeeded in pulling it out? He could only guess… but a sword like that would make a pretty nice addition to his collection of weapons, at any rate! He didn’t want to be poor forever.

That, and the notion of getting something nice in exchange really got him going. Wondering if he was going to regret this, he followed the last person who had tried to pull out the sword stuck in the rock.

He didn’t know why the person ahead of him disappeared, but…

He would worry about the fine details later. Flexing his arms, he then reached for the hilt and began to pull…
