[break][break] Jayden nodded in agreement to everything that Beast Harcourt said, knowing the reports as well as he. Though it had been a while since he had traveled to the areas with Hitoshi Inoue, the information hadn't changed.

[break][break] But what was it about the city that had turned them to ruin? What was it that had changed?

[break][break] "And I suppose we still have no idea why," he said, though it wasn't much of a question as it was a statement. Silence transferred between the two, but not one that bothered Jayden. He respected silence.

[break][break] "I wonder too," he said instead, taking a drink of water and swallowing. "But Shiny Tapu Koko is connected to it, so I wonder if the other deities can be found there."

[break][break] It was all speculation, anyway, but any information that could be found would surely be an asset to fern delaney; and for all that they did for him, he wanted to repay the effort.

Astr was friendly, purring at the familiar touch of nikkari hect, his feelers briefly unfurling from his trainer's own to brush against the other man's wrist. The bell around his collar jingled as he rubbed against the man's palm.

[break][break] Jayden, on the other hand, merely blinked in surprise at his friend's comments, unsure how to respond to them.

[break][break] "Ah," he said after a moment, with understanding. He had become so used to the way Grunts would avoid him at sight that he forgot that there were still a few who were not as well-acquainted with the results of the Cave of Origin.

[break][break] His eyes softened briefly, before the same ghostly smile crossed his lips.

[break][break] "Of course. Just some."

[break][break] After all, though Avatarship had changed him in a drastic way, there were still parts of Jayden that were still him — just as he had told Cillian Quinn several weeks ago.

[break][break] Briefly, the Admin flinched as someone thumped him on the back unexpectedly. He had never done well with physical affection, and this was no different. The ice crystals on his skin reacted immediately as Jayden flinched, frosting further into his skin, gleaming in a brief show of blood. A hand swiped swiftly at his neck, pinching blood between his forefingers, as he nodded briefly at Kouji Matsubara before returning his gaze to nikkari hect.

[break][break] To find that his friend was no longer staring at his chest, but rather something over his shoulder. Expectedly, Jayden turned, wondering what it was that had caught his friend's attention so.

[break][break] Ah. Yumi Hasegawa. The casino's owner was a familiar face, wearing a beautiful red dress. He was glad to see her, and even more glad to hear her mention of fern delaney.

[break][break] "Yes," he said in response, brow furrowing as he looked through the crowd to glance for his partner. "Though, have you seen them?" Anxiety clawed at his throat — being apart from the other for so long increased the chances of him losing himself. Though hopefully, with the familiar of presence of both nikkari hect and Yumi Hasegawa both, his darker emotions would be held at bay.

[break][break] He glanced through the crowd, also looking for a flutter of mint-colored hair, hoping to spot mint frost and his date, oscar clayton.

[break][break] Instead, his eyes widened with surprise as he caught sight of THEO BECKETT's daughter.

In several reports, RANGERS were attacked by an unknown, masked rocket. Similar to other Rocket attacks, the only unified detail is the adjectives used to describe this masked rocket: ANGER, VIOLENCE, AGGRESSION. While all Rockets are known for their dangerous tendencies, this Rocket was explicitly volatile. THREAT LEVEL: HIGH

In the sky of ROUTE 105, a masked rocket approaches HEAD SCIENTIST illeana reyes. He attacks her with his DRAGAPULT and his swords, seemingly unstable. Perhaps an influence of the INTERDREAM MIST (?) The Rocket is incredibly volatile and aggressive.

[break][break] HEAD SCIENTIST illeana reyes is able to escape by using a Z-MOVE, but is unfortunately knocked out until she is able to get assistance from League Forces.

[break][break] The masked Rocket is nowhere to be found in the aftermath.

ENTRY: PAXTON CONCORDAS

While on ocean patrol, DEPUTY paxton concordas was approached on the SEA RT 105 by an aggressive masked Rocket. The Rocket appeared in a PHANTOM FORCE atop a DRAGAPULT before immediately initiating an attack and attempted murder.

[break][break] Rocket declared that he wanted to "kill" DEPUTY paxton concordas for killing his "BEST FRIEND" (UNKNOWN TARGET).

On the shore of ROUTE 105, COUNCILWOMAN freya morningstar was confronted by TAPU KOKO AVATAR (new!) in LEAGUE TERRITORY. Despite warnings dispatched to the AVATAR, the individuals engaged in battle. Shortly after, another MASKED ROCKET appeared, seemingly connected to the TAPU KOKO AVATAR.

[break][break] A battle engaged between both TAPU KOKO AVATAR and UNKNOWN ROCKET AVATAR, involving a battle between Morningstar's ROARING MOON and her opponent's. Outcome of battle was UNKNOWN.

Rocket declares that MATIAS SILPH is being targeted for the deaths that he has caused and thus deserves to be eradicated from Hoenn.

[break][break] When target utilizes sudden AVATAR ABILITIES (ice manipulation), CHAMPION kyle lopez brings out Solgaleo and utilizes its ability to disable avatar powers.

On the shoreline of ROUTE 105, a masked rocket launches an AERIAL ATTACK on Elite Four MATIAS SILPH exposing an alarming threat to his safety.

[break][break] ELITE FOUR MATIAS SILPH takes the threat from the sky to land, in order to increase chance of survival. Rocket possesses a ROARING MOON, which he uses to attack MATIAS SILPH. MATIAS SILPH is forced to use avatar powers to defend himself.

The way that he used to treat oscar clayton, that he sometimes felt like he should still treat him, despite the fact that it'd been many months since the other had been in Hoenn, let alone apart of Rocket's Upper Echelon.

[break][break] The thought was nearly enough to draw him out of his fog, to soften him and remind him of memories of a kinder past. The affection he held for oscar clayton knew no bounds, after all.

[break][break] And then Howard asked how he was doing.

[break][break] It was like being pulled taught by a string. His eyes which had shimmered violet returned to their pale hue, like Circhester's frozen winter.

[break][break] howard slayte stepped back, and Jayden stepped forward.

[break][break] It was not quite unease either. But as Elisabeth Fiorelli surely marveled at Jayden's composure, the warring emotions inside of him implied a lacktherof. There was nothing calm or contained about the way that he felt these days. It was as if those fangs that had sunken into freya morningstar's wound had woken inside of him something awful and monstrous, and it was only by way of this sword that he could release his pent-up feelings.

[break][break] The icy rapier was not a weapon, but rather an extension of his own arm. His very being. As if it was so easy - so simple - to brand the HATRED as his own and cut flesh clean from bone.

[break][break] "It is more..." he said, thoughtful, as his fingers tightened around the base of the sword. "It is more that I have no other choice. That it is a release, then it is a maintenance."

[break][break] He did - in fact - not know music. At least, not in the way that she seemed to say it. Music seemed to imply a stronger association to the word. But outside the trickles of songs that he sometimes heard in the Ballonea Town Square, outside of what was present on the Radio sometimes when Mother would play it as she made Breakfast, Jayden's connection to it was minimal at best.

[break][break] But at least in the theoretical sense of the word, perhaps he did know music.

[break][break] He watched the young girl spin a tale of fantasy before him, her eyes bright and shining and stirring something within him that he did not know was there. 'Envy,' he might realize later, as an adult. Envy at the fact that she could be open and honest with her feelings, in a way that he could not, would not, until he was much older.
