[break][break] Obeying his trainer, the Pikachu's cheeks crackled with light as a thundurous DISCHARGE attempted to ensnare the other before the WAVE CRASH could strike.

[attr="class","textbody"] The CLOSE COMBAT comes too fast for him to fight. It pummels him straight through the chest, knocking the Pikachu to the other side of the arena. It wasn't a real fight, knowing the other's expertise. Kinda like fighting someone like noah faber one on one.

[break][break] Electricity still crackles around the Pikachu's cheeks as he leaps to his feet to attempt a rebuttle with a DISCHARGE that zip-zaps around the field. Lightning flashes, as a light cage attempts to snap back against the Lucario.

[break][break] "Oh wow! You beat Cian and Kyle? That must have been pretty epic." Ollie let out a laugh. "I wish I could've watched it."

[break][break] It seems overwhelming to think that all could have happened in such a short span of time. But Ollie had been in enough of these battles to know how these things worked. While not as monumental as a fight on real terrain might have been, these were a level of awesomeness that couldn't be argued either.

[break][break] Ollie returns Tofu to his pokeball before too much damage can be caused, thus signaling the end of the fight. Tofu might be mad about it later, but his health was what was important now.

[break][break] With that done, the Head Ranger walks to the center of the battle to congratulate the winner.

[break][break] Ollie looked on in admiration as the other decided on another tactic. That was right! It was better to try then give up.

[break][break] "Careful," Ollie warned, but Tofu was beyond hearing. He was too swept up in his power. This time, when the EARTH POWER hit, it cracked against the larger-than-life pokemon causing him to let a roar out of pain. The MAX LIGHTNING that erupts from him isn't intentional — but a response to the agony that rippled through him.

[break][break] Ollie was no Gym Leader, but he'd been around the block once or twice. Even that, though, meant nothing when his pokemon was willing to fight. Still, the Head Ranger had his doubts. He knew that Tofu would push himself to the limits without being asked — but how far?

[break][break] As the EXTREME SPEED hits into him, he attempts to retaliate with a MAX LIGHTENING. But it's weaker than expected, shooting off in a spray of sparks rather than thunderous calamity.

[attr="class","textbody"] Power was important, but it could come with it's downsides too. Even as Tofu's body tripled to size, there was a poison to it that the other was rapidly beginning to learn. The fatigue would tear at him, even as the MAX GEYSER exploded across the battlefield.

[break][break] By this point, Ollie already knew what would happen before it did.

[break][break] As the ROCK SLIDE cushioned their opponent from damage, it seemed that Tofu's last attack had taken all that was left of him. He immediately shrunk back down to side and Ollie had to jump into a giant puddle to catch him before he fell.

[break][break] He rolled forward into the mud pile, tucking the Pikachu close to his chest to free him from harm. Tofu was snoozing happily, not a care in the world. Ollie scoffed, returning the pokemon back to his pokeball.

[break][break] Now for their opponent...

[break][break] Well, this was the first time Ollie felt apprehensive about approaching the winner. He did so anyway, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "Uh, any chance I can get out of this? Are you sure ya wanna punch me in the face uh -"

[break][break] It occurred to him then that she'd never shared her name. He blinked.

[break][break] "Hey, wait. What'd you say your name was again?"

[attr="class","textbody"] Who ever thought that DYNAMAX energy would wield such a powerful force? Maybe that was why people like @joshdevelin or @navy felt so apprehensive about it.

[break][break] Ollie could understand it now, watching the way Tofu expertly wielded his newfound abilities, like a god drunken on power.
