SETTING: LATE SEPTEMBER
THIRD DAY OF THE WAR
ENROUTE TO XURKITREE / GRASSY PATH
AS THE XURKITREE TOWERS ABOVE, Mauville’s reinforcements hearten themselves to their newest threat. Each step the Ultra Beast makes is accompanied by the crackling of electricity and the bone-rattling quaking of earth.[break][break][break]

Kaine Ikari and
Andy Blackadder’s Pokemon launch attacks toward the Xurkitree’s thick leg. The cordage feels exactly like electric wiring; however, the sheer thickness of its limbs make them difficult to slice through. However,
Kaine Ikari’s Scyther and Shiftry would find that exposing the wires releases an electrical shock that harms them with each strike. However, the Clefable and Golduck find that they are able to avoid the electricity, due to their precise and ranged attacks against the insulation.
A wire frays out...[break][break][break]
Others reposition themselves with other League soldiers. During their charge,
THUNDER and
ROCK BLASTS collide with Megalopolan enemies while others rush on their mounts.
LIGHT SCREENS and
SOLAR BEAMS begin to be prepared, however, despite the retaliation, some flee. The presence of a Ultra Beast so large and encompassing, one that can be seen from any point in Hoenn, would still any heart.[break][break][break]
Scattered in various locations, the unconscious and dead bodies of League and Megalopolan forces alike adorn the torn earth and sea near Mauville. While
Raziel Beckett’s Gallade stabilizes
Balder Schwartz’s Galarian Rapidash, the flames are doused. The Alolan man recovers, finally witnessing the Xurkitree’s march as he summons his three Pokemon.[break][break][break]
SHADOW DRUDDIGON'S ATTACK
FROM THE CYCLING ROAD, dominic sinclair’s Steelix begins to descend. Its trainer, alongside
marcel maeda, join
Noelle Lane on top of the steel serpent. They swing by
Bailey Cooper and her Togekiss as
Thomas Benoit descends to
HEAL as well. In a flurry of
POLLEN, the combined efforts of everyone’s aid results in the stabilization of both
Bailey Cooper and
Samuel Boothe’s crippled Pokemon.[break][break][break]
Those on the Steelix manage to escape the Silvally. The flash from a
VOLT SWITCH and a shoddy
MARCEL DOLL distract the chimera enough for
Samuel Boothe to make his escape on Salamence. Quickly, the Silvally tears into the
SUBSTITUTE. With ease, it cleaves the dummy with its claws and teeth.[break][break][break]
[break][break][break]
Finally,
Remiel Calcifet’s Druddigon arrives from its starting point. The corrupted dragon leaps— but is intercepted in part, unintentionally, by
cait alfric’s Braviary. As the bird caws to protect its owner,
cait alfric narrowly avoids being singed by
SHADOW FIRE. The flames rush across the grass. As
Bailey Cooper’s Pokemon respond to the leaping dragon with
OUTRAGE, and SMACK DOWN, the dark fireball neutralizing the
IRON TAIL— and
BURNS the Shadow Aggron. The Aggron wails, stomping back, while the Steelix stomachs the flames. Despite its hardy constitution, the Steelix seems to be
struggling in agony as well, for the flames are especially potent. Several flames pass
Bailey Cooper’s defenses, setting fire to her jacket as the
Druddigon struggles underneath the Steelix.[break][break][break]
cait alfric would witness the monstrosity of such a creature, its fires reminding her of her own tainted state.[break][break][break]
LEGENDARY POKEMON
THE XURKITREE CONTINUES TO CHARGE WITH ELECTRICITY. While a Gardevoir Mega Evolves, others fire concentrated bursts of psychic energy toward the towering powerline. They explode in brilliant blossoms of purple under the Galarian Ambassador's command.[break][break][break]

TELEPORTS his party to dry land. As the Xurkitree stomps in the distance, the legendary beasts work in tandem with his Pokemon. Charging his Mega Manectric, his Raikou roars with
THUNDER while keeping the Silvally pinned underneath its claws.[break][break][break]
Meanwhile, his Entei, Suicune, and Smeargle strike at the Ultra Beast with vicious attacks. Xurkitree bends its knee, as if attempting to investigate the source of the sudden strength. The earth underneath its large feet is
BULLDOZED, revealing that the earth nearby the Xurkitree seems to granting the Ultra Beast its charge. In other words, the Xurkitree is charging from the earth itself.[break][break][break]
Remiel Calcifet’s Zekrom roars, its generator-like tail thundering with power. Those who witness this black dragon would find themselves bewildered, if not terrified. However, its attack against the Xurkitree reveals its side. A powerful
ROCK SLIDE is summoned, toppling down the Xurkitree’s body before smashing into the ground below. As the Xurkitree reels from the potent strike, its “head” swings toward the creature. Philomera smiles, steadying herself and her partner as the Ultra Beast sways.[break][break][break]
Briefly,
kyle lopez’s Silvally gains lucidity…
granting the Elite Four precious time to react before it begins reverting again. Underneath the Raikou, the Silvally wails and writhes as if trying to take back control.[break][break][break]
ULTRA SPACE
WITHIN THE WORMHOLE, Cillian Quinn’s Corviknight reverts. Winds billow into the cylindrical dimension as the
WIND RAGE fades. He manages to recall his Metagross as he surveys their situation, the chaotic energies of the wormhole swirling all around them.[break][break][break]
Despite
Lucas Lane’s efforts, the Blacephalon is recalled.
Katherine Fairburne’s Pokemon cling around her as her bleeding hands tingle from touching the rifts. Within them, she can discern the bodies that the eyes belong to. Both seem to wear golden crowns— but they differ in shape. One is draconid in shape, while the other is more serpentine.[break][break][break]
His summoned
STEALTH ROCKS swing toward
Katherine Fairburne as her Dusknoir is summoned. Distracted by what she sees, several stones clobber into her body, but she has time to react before the rest strike her. A
BLACK HOLE begins to form from her Shadow Dusknoir. Their endless spinning eventually normalizes, but they find themselves being tugged by the force of her Shadow Dusknoir’s power.[break][break][break]

The
rift-pane holding the serpentine creature is crashed against. Using the distraction,
Lucas Lane attempts to flee to the
wormhole opening to his left using the momentum of his summoned stones, he almost manages to pass through. However, against the rift, the devilish creature’s head presses against the pane— but is somehow blocked from passing through. Golden mandibles shift open to reveal its terrible maw, and from it a powerful
ICY WIND surges forth.[break][break][break]
The whole wormhole begins to drop in temperature. Rapidly. As the static and structural integrity of the wormhole begin to falter,
ice begins to form on everyone (and their Pokemon’s bodies). Before
Lucas Lane can make his escape,
the ice creeping around his limbs causes his momentum to halt immediately.[break][break][break]
Around them, the entire ultra space tunnel begins to collapse, glitching and shaking as if it is beginning to implode.[break][break][break]
XURKITREE'S ATTACK AND REINFORCEMENTS
THE XURKITREE FINISHES CHARGING. As it raises its limbs, a large rallying cry sounds behind it in the north. In the distance, the ex-champion, Talia Bosch, rides in with reinforcements from Fortree. Like valkyries, they charge forth on their Tropius mounts.[break][break][break]
She leads the charge while her troops fly in with a sharp rush of
LEAF TORNADOS in the air.[break][break][break]
The Xurkitree is not perturbed. As it extends its copper digits, gargantuan bolts of electricity spread outward, traveling across the ground like tornados.
Six bolts travel across the entirety of the route, scorching everything and everyone caught in their zigzagging path. Several Tropius and their riders are struck by the sheer size of these bolts, causing their electrified bodies to convulse before plummeting downward.[break][break][break]

- You are allowed to roleplay your character taking down miscellaneous Megalopolan NPCs alongside League NPCs; however, significant actions will have their outcomes resolved in the subsequent moderator post.
- If you miss too many rounds by failing to post by the deadline, you will either be kicked and/or receive minimal rewards.
- The Ultra Beasts in these raids will not be exactly the same as their previous iterations on the site.

Samuel was fully prepared to protect himself and didn't have many reservations about putting down Marcel’s rabid Pokémon outside of respect for his friend and Samuel’s own selfish curiosity about the Pokémon in general and its sudden change in appearance as a result of it losing its helmet and thinking it'd be a shame to just kill it.
