They blot out the sky, cutting into the beautiful moon's shape like knives with every flap of their wings. Should you be lucky, perhaps, you can procure a Crobat of your own.[break][break]

Rufio would arrive on scene with his Doublade, Zweihander floating beside him. Jumping into the thick of things the ginger and sentient swords would begin to attack not one, but several Crobat, Golbat, and Zubat in hopes of catching at least one of the batmen/batwomen.

As the autumn holiday fast approaches, Adrian has traveled to Dewford Town for an annual haunted cave attraction. The locals and their pokemon prepare themed treats and frightening displays to decorate a local cave and transform it into a maze of terror. Back home in Sinnoh they have a similar time-honored tradition with their cornfields playing stage to the season's frightful theatrics.

To Adrian, the cave presents an even greater challenge and he's loathe to pass up the opportunity to enjoy a welcomed scare.

While flying to Dewford late one eve, he sees figures dancing in front of the pallid silhouette of the moon, and a distant screeching. Uhhh...

The only thing keeping him from hurtling through the swarm was the keen eyes of the Corviknight straddled between his legs. Phew, that was...

...A little too close for comfort there. Hoo boy.

A shudder rolled up his spine as he considered what flying into the swarm would've felt like, counting himself glad for Usurper's timely and practical insubordination. Adrian rummaged through his bags, trying to find a pokeball.

After finding one and clutching it in his hands, he begins to try and discern the outlines of the swooping, roiling cauldron of bats... And... now!

As the crobats and the lesser zubat and golbat among them blotted out the moonlight he wondered less about where they came from and where they were going, and more about how cool the imagery would be in a digestible three to seven seconds-long .gif.

Meme culture as strong these days and sending a gif or picture meme could sometimes be more expressive than an actual "thought out" message. Just the sight of it made him scroll through his phone to do some hunting, the helmet actually not getting in the way of the phone screen at all.

He was supposed to be spending tonight adding new pokémon to his ranks but now, it felt more appropriate to beef up his army of gifs instead.

Where ever he was, he was sure as shit Adrian Malcolm was seeing the same thing Sénon himself was seeing. So, naturally he sent off a good meme of a fight scene from a pokémon battle movie with the pokémon reinterpreted as super humans.

virgil winced and recoiled in the comfortable theatre seat as the scalding beam of a flashlight burned through his retina, forcing his pupils to constrict against it. a loud voice called across the rows of packed seats and directed virgil to come down. 'damn. caught.'

admittedly he was above sneaking into movies but this was the third installment of zubatman and the new director was really taking the ip places. he couldn't help it that the tickets were all sold out. what was he supposed to do? wait until tomorrow? as if.

after swiftly being kicked on his ass and out the door he decided it best to resign himself to a walk along route 106 and before he knew it he was at the mouth of granite cave. he was just about to head back when he heard a chorus of screeches some distance away, yet growing closer. he narrowed his eyes against the dark sky and could just barely make out some hazy cloud of... zubat?

maybe he'd be able to get a zubatman of his own. with a flick of his wrist empoleon's pokeball was loose from his hip, another motion and she was out. "let's shake 'em up a bit, give 'em a soak!" he commanded and reached in his back for one of the pokeball's resting at the top of his pouch.

she walked down the path with her solrock floating next to her bad shoulder—the one weezing had used to flank, back in the day, when it was a good shoulder.

the fall breeze felt nice. it had become her favorite thing, lately.

in a moment, the peace was disturbed by screeches, and the moonlight was blotted out by a swarm of bats. the wind of their wings disturbed the ribbon of smoke which followed them perpetually.

idly, she looked up, and then reached into her pocket to grab a pokeball and toss it into the air, wondering if she might have some luck.

He'd thought it would be a good day for a stroll. He was wrong.

Soup was given no warning before a fast, shadowy blur dove straight at him and knocked him to the ground. Gasping for breath, he pulled out a Pokeball and released Athos. The Gallade stared down the threat... which was way too fast to even be spotted. The shape zipped around at furious speeds, but right as it approached for another strike, Athos nailed it directly with a Psycho Cut. Disoriented, the bat--- he could tell it was a bat now--- tried to recover, but Athos was merciless, going in for another Psycho Cut, and another, and another.

Soon, the enemy was defeated. But it had put up a good fight. Soup thought for a second, and then threw a Pokeball at the fallen shape.

The cave was loud and the moon was full with a glistening light. Billi had his pokemon beside him, Sidon the Arbok, wanted time outside, and even more his own ROBIN sidekick Tatl, a woobat that shined a vibrant mint green. He looked like a yummy piece of candy. His pokemon were the robin to his batman, the harley quinn to his joker. A cute moment that would only fish out something pure out of the sky.

As the swarm of crobat and other...purple bats frenzy past him in a ravaging horde he couldn’t help but think. “I AM BATMAN” out loud as he struck the menacing pose in the center, the Woobat sat on his shoulder flapping its wings as the Arbok moved up beside him acting like the BUTLER. Then FLOMP a sudden drop in bats hitting trees and other man made obstructions. Only to have Billi lob a pokeball, “I am the night”

The crobat believed themselves untouchable, they were apex predators after all. One crobat felt especially cocky, terrorizing a couple as they tried to enjoy a nice walk. It flapped in their faces, intending to induce a reaction for its twisted amusement.

Yet as it flapped upon the couple, it would make a shocking discovery! One of their heads would fall off, rolling away into a nearby bush. They were mannequins, this was a trap! Before the crobat would escape, a massive shadow slammed into the bat. The impact threw it to the ground, and as it rolled over it would come face to face with a Gliscor.

Oscar had set up this convoluted trial to find an especially cruel crobat to add to his army, and boy did he hit the motherload. He emerged from the bushes, holding the head of the decapitated mannequin. As he approached, he could not help but scoff as Vlad the gliscor smacked the bat with his tail over and over again. No doubt mocking it for its misplaced hubris. Oscar rolled his eyes, throwing a pokeball at the poor thing before it became paste on the pavement.

Seeing and hearing these screeching noises made Adam look up, and around—how the hell had he ended up here? Truth be told he was looking for something but he had forgotten what it was and now he was in the middle of a swarm of them—

Swooping down and screeching and nipping and causing all manner of ungodly racket.

“Bloody hell, shoo!” he shouted as he waved his hands around. Ugh, what the fuck! How he missed having a butler to do the shit he wanted, kind of like how there was an Alfred Pennyworth serving a certain Bruce Wayne’s every single beck and call.

Bleh.

Finally managing to duck down somewhere behind a rocky outcrop, he shuffled around and threw an empty Pokéball, wondering if there was something to get out of this madness.

Holy fuckton of bats, Batman! Some men just want to watch the world burn but the joker known as Gigi made her grand entrance. Compassion is a weakness your enemies will not share so the vigilante made haste in releasing her sidekick. She wondered what would break first their spirit or their body? Only one way to find out: she was either going to die a hero tonight or continue to live long enough to see herself as a villain. The swarm wasn't the devil, they were practice which allowed the Rotom to unleash a burst of pure electricity.

When she was younger she had proclaimed, "Yes, father, I shall become a Bat," and tonight she made good on that promise to her dear father. She was the hero Hoenn deserves, but not the one it needs right now. However, "I'm still here," she would state whether they liked it or not.

Gigi peered down at one of the fallen, electrocuted bats with a word of warning on her tongue, "Tell your friends, tell all of your friends that I AM THE KNIGHT!" But not that one- that one was going in her Pokeball.
