IN OCTOBER — the aftermath of the war is spent rejuvenating the region. pokemon and trainers are hard at work, repairing natural landscapes, while clearing fields and mountains of macabre remnants. still, pools of poison remain where naganadel and poipole have fallen... until they are cleaned, poor unsuspecting wildlife may find themselves within these toxic traps, forcing them to become aggressive and hostile.[break][break][break]

meganium congregate near a ranger's headquarters. they seem to be sickly, as if they have ingested terrible poisons. to assist them, have your pokemon "drain" the poison from their bodies before expelling them in a nearby biohazard container.[break][break][break]

kyle wasn't exactly sure about the logic that the procedure entails since that just means that the poison transfers to their unfortunate pokemon, but he's not the one to complain if it gets the job done.

the ludicolo positions itself before a meganium and proceeds to mega drain the poison out of the victim. energy keeps getting sapped from the grass-type, which it fortunately resists, alongside the poisons in accordance to what was said on the first post.

"yay. good job." kyle mentions nonchalantly. "we did good. nice. poggers."

It is difficult to win over the trust of the sickly, perhaps due to Willow's less-than-welcoming presence, or simply their sheer vulnerability rendering them distrustful and wary. But with peaceful gestures and patience, the bleached bark hands are able to coerce a Meganium's compliance, before the Trevenant ingrains a branch into the pokemon's body, creating a network from which to analyze the depth of the corruption.

Willow can feel the volatile, putrid substance begin to flow through its own lifeblood, spared the affliction only for its Natural Cure. As it begins to reach the extent of its examination, the bleached tendrils of bark begin to glow; and as the Meganium shows signs of a steady recovery, its red leaves of maple are tinged with an insidious yet fleeting purple. But it is not itself immune.

Though difficult to tell, it is an application of its Horn Leech, executed with care and precision rather than the lumbering brute force of battle.

It takes time to untether itself from the creature, but it is thankful for the Trevenant's efforts, though they are quick to part ways as Willow shuffles silently over to a caretaker, oozing an acrid, purple sap from its roots that stains its ivory surface.

It was honestly quite lucky that they were here already, able to help the Meganiums in their poisoned plight. Ruby didn't really know what would have happened if they were left to themselves to handle this unearthly poisons. Carefully, Ruby sent out Snowflake, a shiny Vivillion gifted to her by FERNANDO SILPH at the Aurorus Ball some time ago. She never did understand why, but the generosity had never been forgotten.

Of course, Snowflake was incredibly excited to be let free, immediately fluttering around and landing happily atop Ruby's head. The young girl simply chuckled briefly as she got her pokemon to focus on the grass-type pokemon in front of them. With everyone else going to be draining the poison away, it was definitely best to ensure that they couldn't run away, or get hurt or accidentally hurt anyone else in the process.

"Snowflake, use STUN SPORE. Trap them in place, will you?" Nodding their head, the Vivillion set off, fluttering overhead of the Meganium swarm as it scattered their paralytic spores. They could definitely be patched up later from the paralysis... but that poison had to go. She had seen first hand what it could do to a pokemon, and it was never pretty.

Fernando extends his wrist and his Comfeys come off like loose jewelry. They flank him on both ends, awaiting further instructions on how to handle the sickly Meganium. "Draining kiss," is the technique they'll employ, copying the same mannerisms as those around them. Each Pokemon land a small peck on a Meganium and the poison starts to flow from one Pokemon to another. Fernando's ample use of MISTY TERRAIN helps mitigate the poison's effects but it's up to his Comfey to handle actual disposal.

The roselia moves with a sense of grace. Red and blue bouquets glow a sickly green as a GIGA DRAIN seeps the venomous stain from the grass types. Even the rose pokemon's face scrunches in displeasure at the sensation of the toxins coursing through its body. "Dispose of it," Circe's tone is quick. She doesn't wish to deal with her own pokemon being affected by the dangerous poison, mostly out of it being a hassle to deal with more than anything. The roselia abides, the gummy liquid spewing from its roses in a disgusting gush as it rids itself of the sickness.

Astrid knew better than to strike these gentle beasts with a DRAIN PUNCH at full power. Therefore, she walked from one to another with a gentle punch for each instead. Her affinity to the Steel-type helped ingest and hold the poison before she ejected it into a biohazard container an assistant would have at the ready. Remiel oversaw the process with great interest, taking notes. His Lucario was doing exceptionally well and showed great control, compared to their first meeting.[break][break]

"Well done, Astrid." He complimented, turning a page on his notebook and beginning to jot down notes on future training for the Lucario instead. This practice would pave the way for interesting experiments and challenges. And, hopefully, a brand new breakthrough.[break]

Okay, so hosing down some Grass-types with a Fire-type seemed to be a bad idea on so many levels.

However, the only thing remotely capable that he had with him that could heal was his Gardevoir, Tatiana—okay maybe he shouldn’t discount himself too much about that.

Having arrived on the scene, he wondered what his friend Ranger was doing about the clean-up. Probably cursing himself into the aether, he supposed.

Either way, it was all hands on-deck for his Gardevoir this time around, having made sure to kit her out with support options. It was a mistake he’d made last month, and regretted it so much.

Anyhow…

He arrived on the scene, Gardevoir already with him. Looking over at the sickly Meganium, he sighed and went to the outdoor medical bay tent.

“Heal Pulse, please.”

And off the Gardevoir went, healing all that came to her before shunting them off to the next area for further decontamination.

[attr="class","spiral"]There's not a lot Lillian can do in the direct removal of poison, but with her Bronzong -- still on loan from FERNANDO SILPH -- she can help keep the healers safe from any runoff. She stands calmly off to the side of a group of trainers, the Bronze Bell Pokemon floating between them and herself. The ground around it glows gently with SAFEGUARD'S light.

"Stay on guard," she cautions her pokemon in a soft voice. The Meganium have been made merely sick by the poison, but it's on record the recently repelled forces were able to turn wild pokemon hostile with (presumably) this same venom. Bronzong lets out a long gong in response to her caution.

It sounds bored. Lillian can't exactly blame it.

As Thomas found himself at the Ranger Headquarters to attend to a meeting, on behalf of Benoit Armaments, he would be among those who had spotted the poisoned Meganium. After the others acted to drain the toxins from the Grass-types, Thomas would send out Colt, his faithful Clawitzer.

"Colt, I need you to heal the Meganium.", he told the Water-type.

As the Clawitzer gave him a look, Thomas sighed. "I know, I've been using you as a medic more than for combat lately. You'll get your chance at some action.", he told the annoyed Pokemon.

With a grumble, the Clawitzer would fire off a Heal Pulse at the Meganium, to offset the damage that they not only endured from the toxins, but the act of draining them of the poison. No doubt the attacks that had to be used would hurt them further, so at the very least, he could ease their pain, and jump start their recovery.
