With sootopolis city getting a bit boring to swim around in order to keep close to his trainer sure the Ranger provide any fun. Duke was more than happy for the extra work in new waters. Now he got a new group of fish to bully! Hehehe [break][break]

Or at least that would come later, as the ranger did promise him something juicey should he behave here and do the job. DIVING down into the deep waters the shark swam around checking for any possible damages. One noticeable thing noticed as a couple of crustacean pokemon lingering around one of the ships. Seeming to be doing something with it, eating algae or messing with it honestly Duke didn't really care. [break][break]

Quite literally torpedoing himself at the group, his jaws grabbing and chomping on an unfortunate Corphish that couldn't swim out of the way fast enough. Duke nommed on his meal scaring away the pokemon. That should teach them from messing with things under his watch.[break][break]

And a bonus lunch for him!

Seismitoad arrives on the scene ready to work - but the majority of his time is actually spent leering at the Sharpedo. After his incident with Stormy and John Sullivan while documenting the damage done to an underwater structure, he had quickly learned that Sharpedo were bad news. All teeth and no brain.[break][break]

So he works two jobs, helping dive up and down with a head-set camera to document damages, he was also careful to keep the Sharpedo in his line of sight. Every move that creature made was documented, and would make Stormy sigh and write a formal apology to Razz Kingsman for later. [break][break]

the politoed is more than anxious enough to work with a sharpedo. it jumps into the water with doubt, silently praying that the sharpedo was trained enough not to prey on the other pokemon that was supposed to work with it.

he chooses to get to a side of the ship away from the predator, somewhere that's away from the sights of the shark pokemon. the hull near the surface shouldn't have too many problems.

the politoed inspects the hull and finds nothing particularly worth note taking so he just goes by his day and swims around just in case he finds one while double checking.

Despite his snippy coming of age as a snapping pup Drednaw, uncommon to his species had mellowed out post-evolution. So long as he kept fed and well-rested he was happy and quite easy going.

He did require certain unique methods of training and pass-times both to keep his jaws strong but on a full stomach and recently rested he was even trustworthy enough to be sent on oddjobs with Sénon direct presence.

In the case of the Lapras Shipwrights job he was more than capable of utilizing his new skill-level of DIVE to inspect the yard below surface level.

Swimming about with a camera and light strapped to his back he was able to quickly get all the footage they needed. Preliminarily his own assessment of the damage came back positive in finding no large holes or structural damage to the foundations of the shipyard.

If they needed a smaller-scale or more precise inspection they would have to make use of a small and more intelligent species but at one the perfect potential perpetrators of the exact damage they were assessing for Drednaw saw nothing they'd need to worry about.

Anyone not willing to trust a turtle on such things still had the camera footage for a second opinion.

The other pokemon might have been apprehensive to work with their sharp-toothed friend, but Athena was sure that the Sharpedo had been taught that FISH WERE FRIENDS NOT FOOD! That, er, applied to other pokemon as well, right??

[break][break] Or at least, that's what the Wartortle tried to convince herself as she jumped and DOVE into the water, in one smooth motion. She easily navigated the oceans depth, investigating the hull with ease and reporting any dangers that she spotted in the area that would make trouble for later.

[break][break] The Wartortle winced as she noticed the Sharpedo crunch on some unfortunate pokemon that got in it's way... oof. Well, at least she had a shell to protect her, if anything were to happen.

The Cramorant was kinda stupid and not entirely sure what he was supposed to be doing.

Most of his time while diveing was spent just ducking under the water for fish so he could fill up his gut. There was no higher brainpower with the flying type. He just really wanted to get fed.

However, it seemed this was actually helping! If only by accident. With less fish in the area, it would help the other pokemon focus. Since the smaller fish were being eaten, the larger fish who might cause trouble weren't bothering to come around. It was a win-win!

Following the lead of the other water-types, Lapras DIVES deep into the water without sparing a second thought. It trusts its instincts and allows them to guide it through the depths of the sea, its speed increasing with each passing moment.

While diving and sinking deeper into the sea, Lapras glances around to survey the area and pay attention to the surrounding sea pokemon. If it wasn’t for the fact that it likes its home, it’d have maybe considered staying here for a while.

Instead, it only relishes the moment and moves on with its day.

Okay so the weird fish with the spinning tail...

Who knew that its weird-ass would come in handy?

“Send a Water-type that knows Dive”, the job said.

Mercifully Lars had one of those ready, and so off it went to Slateport Harbor. Something about clean-up or something similar like that. Honestly Lars was just pleased to have more of his other companions out and about helping around.

So, off the Barraskewda went, completing as many Dives as possible, pointing those weirdly-dressed humans in the direction of the ships that had holes or leaks that needed plugging.

Sure it was something he wouldn’t normally do, but if it helped the strange humans out, then so be it.
