Porygon sat atop a money machine, its eyes glowing a soft blue.

With its vision and memory not very different than a high-speed camera it was able to count and derive total dollar values from physical dollar counts. The tellers never had to do more than ask it to display what information they needed and its rudimentary functionality would allow the digital pokémon to display what they needed on a connected computer screen.

Without arms it wasn't able to sort dollars nor coins but its perfected counting and register balancing left the human tellers an abundance of extra time to do the sorting themselves.

Basic math was an easy job for a creature with a brain faster than a calculators.

Once calibrated, Magnezone was able to carry out an assortment of tasks. Firstly it was responsible for organizing coins into rolls, which were standardized amounts of currency generally in high demand with their commercial business partners. Each roll needed to have precisely the right amount, each and every single time, or it created numerical chaos. Magnezone was able to diagnose a few of the mechanical errors in one such machine, which had been consistently overfilling the rolls and costing the bank tons annually. Nobody liked that.

ANALYZING the bills for fraudulent forgeries was also a vital aspect of the work, though unrelated to the main job at hand. While human hands and eyes could spot poorly made counterfeit, it took a machine to detect the most deceptive signs of a forgery. This sort of information was all stored within their network, which the pokemon had been patched into. They executed the algorithm flawlessly, though for today, detected no forgeries.

But just to be safe, they'd perform a cross-check. But thankfully they were more automation than not, or such repetitious, menial work would slowly addle their minds and damper their spirits... The curse of flesh.

Iyah is surely out of place.

While her trainer is on a business trip at Petalburg, perhaps a meeting that she needs to do with Billi Marsh , the pinkette leaves her pokemon at a currency exchange stall which earlier posted a pokejob asking for help. It is the elgyem's first time doing a job but she is assured by Selena that everything will go fine as long as she use all her brain power to help the facility.

The first job it supposes to do is just to observe the machines that count the money, but she realizes that is utterly boring and proceeds to take one of the employee's spot and does the job for him.

MYDOOM wasn't exactly the refined and shining example of coding and artificial intelligence that Porygon or Porygon 2 was. Its eclectic, and sometimes downright bizarre, abilities provided uses in far more... unconventional situations. But Remiel had tinkered with its programming a bit himself, and sent it to the pokejob anyway. If it couldn't help with their systems, then he'd erase it and commission a better version.[break][break]

Rather than linger in the physical world, the Porygon-Z swiftly entered the digital-scape upon being released from its luxury ball. All the computers flashed for a moment, off then on again, as lines of green coding criss-crossed and mashed up together over their inky black screens. Chaos engulfed each one, interspersed with a digital sprite of Porygon-Z every so often, until, finally, everything went silent. Everything went black...[break][break]

Before, moments later, awakening.

Though temporary, MYDOOM had installed its own programming-- had installed itself-- into the bank's systems in order to digitally organize their spreadsheets and find, investigate, and solve discrepancies. Not only that, it had control over the money counting machines as well, and only asked for human intervention when it required new stacks of coins and bills to sift through.[break]

[attr="class","spiral"]Maintenance Mode is one of the few times Fernando allows his Porygon free reign outside of his company network. Silph Co.’s cyber security is second to none. Their monopoly and creation of Porygon prove paramount to the shift in valuation of data and data science.

A request to borrow some of that computing power comes at an opportune time. While avarice dictates Fernando never to lend any of his ‘important’ play toys out of his eye sight, assisting in the general cog of society proves much too important. Banks play a big part of his social ladder and their success play into his role of governance.

His Porygon could care less. It's ANALYTICS is used one way or another.

the magnezone sits on a single spot, keen on finishing the one job it has for the period it was hired for. its attention remains fixated on the money counter machine to make sure that it works as intended.

every single bill is to be accounted for, up to the nearest decimal place. the electric-type pokemon makes sure that the precise amount of value is taken from the number of cash it has, which was a simple enough task for the analytic of a pokemon.

computing doesn't take a while for a single account, but it does when it's for the entire workload prepared for them.

While every other pokemon busied themselves with analyzing the data from the outside, Porygon was used to looking over programing from within. Using its ability to become a computer program, it sat within, accelerating and finetuning the program to proper count.

After all, that’s its typical job when working with the Pokken Rider.

Ethel Irving was not a kind of person who would leave her Pokemon to rot in their Pokeballs while she had no use for them. Which meant that Rodent the Magnezone, a rather intelligent Pokemon who was also rather curious about human society, would be roped into work by humans who realized their potential.

Now, they joined other Magnezone, such as the one that belonged to Adrian Malcolm, in the task of sorting money, finding counterfeit bills and other mistakes, and more. They were tasks that might not have held much interest to humans, but Rodent was fascinated, trying to understand the details of human society as they watched Porygons flit within the computer systems and their fellows analyzing currency.

Life was good for Rodent the Magnezone.
