It was, perhaps, a little unconventional to begin with one's LAST RESORT.

But Gavin's been checked out for most of the night, exhausted, and after the failure at tug-of-war that had left his palms red and raw, he's hungering for a victory. His Lycanroc can be loud as hell when it wants to be, so...

He slips in a pair of earplugs.

"You know you're not allowed to howl at home, but out here you can go wild."

He doesn't have to tell the blue-furred werewolf twice.

It's loud even through the earplugs. He's going to have a headache after this.

Ruby wasn't normally a fan of concerts, but how could she turn down the chance to let Twigs let loose? The incredible excitable Grookey bounced to and fro, running across her shoulders and arms crying out.

He almost even seemed to be mimicking the dancers on stage, how absolutely adorable. Sure, the loud noise was a bit overwhelming, but it wasn't anything she couldn't handle yet. Regardless, Ruby was quick to raise the little guy up on her hand so he could see the stage and the performance better.

"Grook!" The little guy cried out, suddenly moving to slam his body forwards with such incredible force and excitement that he flung straight out of their trainer's hands. Whoops.

Michi and Mickey were in the back of the crowd, supporting Melody as far away from the noisy mosh pit as possible. Michi had purchased earplugs before the concert, which tuned out most of the extra noise so she could focus on enjoying the singing without the interference of the crowd and their Pokemon.

She felt a tap on her shoulder and turned to beam at her husband, who leaned in close and called "She's really good!" into one of her earplugged ears. Michi could barely hear him, but she was just happy they could spend time together during the Hoenn Star Tournament.

Both of them were holding one of Michi's Goomy. The bass notes jiggled across their gelatinous bodies like ripples on a pond, vibrating in time with the beat. While they were adorable, perhaps it was too much to hope the cameras would notice two very small Goomy in the big concert.

The Goomy she was holding tried to use Muddy Water (perhaps it was getting sick from all the jiggling) but Michi stopped it before it could make a mess of the whole concert and wiped the dribbling mud off his mouth with her handkerchief. Since Melody was singing, it was important for Michi to support her to do her best!

He’s thirsty, sweating and no doubt has plenty of bruises blooming all over his sticky, tanned skin but Angelo leaving the chaos that his grand, drunken adventure had led him hasn't even crossed his mind. Concerts weren't Jayden's preferred activity of choice, but that didn't mean that he avoided them.

so far so good.

kyle's been doing well despite being around a crowd of strangers with little to no personal space left for him. he tries to muster the energy to fit well with the crowd, raising his flareon up high above the crowds so it can detect miss melody miro from the stage for itself.

the flareon gets waved around in accordance with the beat of the song. it's probably not healthy for the flareon, but if it can survive pokemon battles, it can survive this.

The energy in the mosh pit was wild enough that Cardamom didn't really want to put Shin down, but at some point he'd wriggled off her shoulders anyways. The earthquake had Sam gripping onto the closest stable foundation he could find, chimchar clinging to him for solidity as the ground rattled beneath their feet.

Felt kinda counter productive, but it worked out in the end.

A flareon dances after, then a teddiursa nearly got swallowed up by the violent group in the middle.

As if summoned by some unknown force, the force or rock and roll most likely, chimchar leapt onto the hands of many of the individuals with their arms extended skyward, attempting a CROWD SURF while using her FACADE, not as a distraction, but rather flailing expertly to the music.

Sam's brows raised curiously.

"I gotta get her out more..."

with each stomp the ground shook underneath the dinosaur's stomping tantrum, although in this case one might call it a stomping celebration as the music got a total hold over the large dinosaur. kazimir couldn't really do anything other than try to join in the dancing alongside his pokemon as well. however with each step it took kazimir would be launched into the air by a few centimeters and kept losing his balance. "guess we found-whoa-melody's biggest fan haha." he muttered before his dancing came to a stop as the stomping finally knocked him flat onto his ass.

Through some mysterious series of events, Bo found himself in the mosh pit (strange for such an act but a fun surprise all the same). He was drunk and too energetic on a potent mix of liquor and Charjacola—with that hint of Ultra Space radiation, or whatever.

“WOOOOOO!!!!!! Let’s gooooo!!!” The music keeps vibin so Eva keeps goin. She’s a little bundle of energy and there’s no stopping her! The crowd seems not to mind. They toss her around on top of them like a beach ball. Who knew crowd surfing could be this much fun?! The lights pulse to the beat of the band, and Aerodactyl soars above, spewing his own powerful light. The HYPER BEAM is stunning, adding to bright pulse of lights above the gyrating crowd.

THE SONG COMES CLOSER to an inevitable conclusion as it starts to rise again. melody can feel the sweltering heat of her performance start to take its toll. the band members around her break into a sweat as their movement comes to a synchronized frenzy.

“THE TRUTH IS THERE BUT SOMETIMES IN DISGUISE!”

through the endless noise of the audience, one person sticks out from the rest. hearing the champion himself cheer her on for a repeat performance strikes a chord. for a moment, she forgets that this same man might be the reason she goes bald.

in the moment, all is forgotten as she locks eyes with him.

“WHEN WE TRUST IN LOVE AND OPEN UP OUR EYES!”

a snapshot perfect smile ends her performance as the concert moves onto the next song. melody gives kyle lopez once last glance before taking a bow and moving back to center stage.
