"Tch," Razz curses under his breath as he wasn't able to get the terrain up in time. He clenches his fist in both frustration, but to also drop the terrain, also thanking his Greninja for protecting them. As far as he was aware the Rockets had escaped leaving him with a mess. Though it seemed not all civilians were willing to accept the help of the ranger. One woman (Violet Fairbanks) seems to protest, seemingly hurt. Razz would've said something had angelo vestri not come in. [break][break]

Once more he was about to say something until there is a rumbling, and all around them everything seems to shift, and turn. The water turning violent. Shit, there went plan A, only in Hoenn would land just suddenly reappear in the water and ruin an escape. [break][break]

"Fine until this," though his mouth stings at his remark, because apparently a certain dragon didn't appreciate sarcasm if it involved a lie. Using the megaphone given to him earlier, "Attention! It seems to dangerous to use the waters now," Razz might trust his water pokemon, but with the land being the way it was all he could really do is take note on how the Bay remained in the same spot, so plan B. "Those who wish for protection from the fighting head to the house at the bay, from there you'll be offered protection," he'll offer his own home for now. "If you have flying pokemon use them to get out." [break][break]

One resident protest, Razz knows the house's reputation in the city, "Unless you have a pokemon to get out of here, and want an escape from that," he points to the fighting going on, "Then yes, there are pokemon there that will try to protect and get you out should you not have the right kind," he is stern as he says this because he is at least trying at least. Razz looks over to angelo vestri who mentions skyler dross and instantly he is worried. Saying that something was wrong before he heads off. Shit, he wants to join because as it was he already lost a friend in Chu-e Choi and he doesn't want to lose what few he has left. Though there was a situation he needed to take care of first. [break][break]

Once more Violet Fairbanks speaks out and finally Razz has the chance to say something, "Ma'am Rocket is the one who started these Riots, caused the people to be fighting each other, and then left them," he points to where Chu-e Choi and the others escaped to. "All we can do is try and pick up after, if you're hurt then here," Razz would look over to dodger who would use use HEAL PULSE on her and any civilians near by. "Now you're free to either escape yourself or help the people, but just like my offer to aide them its your choice, I can promise you that's more than Rocket will ever give."[break][break]

Because from his experience in Rocket, there were no real choices. [break][break]

From there he'll Radio some of his other rangers in the area of the situation of offering the bay house as protection while he explains that he's going after some civilians that were in danger. After he would return both his Greninja and the Kartana in his jacket before calling on his Buzzwole. Razz would be quick to climb on as he tells him to follow angelo vestri. Because he knows the direction they're headed and its no good.

The ice began to cling to Darkrai’s body as it sailed upward, following. Spheres found darkness found nothing to take hold, and disappeared—along with the clouds, thanks to the giant owl in the Legendary’s wake. Stars and moon returned to the night above, as well a clear view of an even larger avian, and the flash of metal.

Then, a roar. A shift in… everything.

“What--”

Lucario’s legs shook at the shift of land, and red eyes peered over the edge daringly at jostling waves before taking several steps back. Lulu, too, found herself disoriented, as people shifted away and the land reassembled itself.

She looked around, just in time to see the foot of noah faber sailing towards Cillian Quinn ’s face. There was no time to do much, but he was quick in his reaction.

Then, out of nowhere, she spotted the mask of Rowan Wrynn . We have your back. She’d promised it. Amber eyes hovered on him a moment, wanting to cut the distance—but now, there was more to take care of.

Articuno was in the sky above, and they were no longer fleeing, but rather, now heading their way.

They’d have to make it past her first.

Her shadow made its way around Cillian Quinn , and around the side of a building, hopefully out of noah faber ’s sight when her voice raised:

“Lucario! Go!”

The jackal ran and bound between buildings, reaching rooftop in time to board the Noctowl on a flight skyward. Darkrai joined them in the ascent. DARK PULSE spiraled upwards towards Articuno, aided by the blue force of Lucario’s HELPING HAND. Its owl mount provided defense with a PROTECT.

Lulu waited in the shadows, still, watching combat. What was that light? (Sénon Game ) What had given that roar?

While @izzy attempts to hide, she throws a rock— and it comes back, hitting her or almost hitting her in the head, for the stone is drawn back by this level's gravity. However, her distraction prevents her from noticing the EXPANDING FORCE of ADMIN Killian Decker's METAGROSS. A DETECT allows Locke Jamison's ABSOL to push @izzy out of the way before the PSYCHIC TERRAIN EMPOWERED force strikes her.[break][break]

The EXPANDING FORCE strikes against jayden cross's ORBEETLE'S LIGHT SCREEN. It DEFENDS Chu-e Choi and himself from Killian Decker's METAGROSS. Nevertheless, the attack collides with everyone else nearby in the bay level, causing those on the ground to stumble or to be thrown. John Sullivan is swift enough to have the attack WIDE GUARDED by his ESCAVALIER.[break][break]

John Sullivan's MELTAN fires a THUNDER WAVE that sears across bryan delarosa's chest. After, the gym leader's ORBEETLE attempts to PSYCHIC-GRAPPLE the man's KOMMO-O. However, its SHADOWFICATION has granted it surprising strength, allowing it to push forward, struggling still, and land in front of kim cole-essam's LICKILICKY to attempt and administer a CLOSE COMBAT. A FLASH CANNON flies toward him too— but it is slow enough for kim cole-essam to react, should he desire.[break][break]

After Balder Schwartz leaps, his CELESTEELA attempts to HEAVY SLAM bryan delarosa and Killian Decker; however, jayden cross's CROBAT instantly expels a HAZE across the entire island. A SPOTLIGHT highlights a figure in the fog— and the ULTRA BEAST is directs itself there instead. A HEAVY SLAM smashes into the ground where John Sullivan is, finally allowing the ORBEETLE to relinquish its PSYCHIC GRASP on bryan delarosa's KOMMO-O.[break][break]

Kazimir Wynter LEAPS FROM LEVEL ONE WITH HIS GOLURK and as he does, the HAZE from jayden cross's Pokemon flushes the area. Their landing rocks the earth within this haunting mist. bryan delarosa would be able to see the glowing eyes of a GOLURK looming above.[break][break]

Violet Fairbanks watches as Raziel Beckett LEAVES HER WITH A HEAL.[break][break]

LEVEL 1

The Beast, oscar clayton, prepares his Pokemon for the incoming fight. As his NIDOQUEEN PROTECTS, he urges Serena Malcolm to take cover should she desire. While Serena Malcolm ponders her next course of action. However, Katherine Fairburne has prepared. An earsplitting shriek rings out from her NOIVERN as two BLACEPHALON BOMBS are thrown toward the Rockets.[break][break]

As the bombs are propelled by a SUPERSONIC, a twisted realm opens nearby. A GRAVITATIONAL FORCE pulls upon oscar clayton and Serena Malcolm— and is enough to pull the NIDOQUEEN away by a few feet. The bombs land. And explode.[break][break]

White rock is obliterated under the force of two bombs. While Serena Malcolm, her Pokemon and oscar clayton's Pokemon (who have been bulked up) manage to remain on the level... oscar clayton is not as lucky.[break][break]

He is thrown off in a violent arc and plummets down below.[break][break]

Adrian Malcolm's ABRA TELEPORTS him with stunning speed. As he emerges, like a warrior brandishing its blade within a breath's space, he swings his HONEDGE in a BRUTAL SWING while his BRONZOR looms above with its somnolent stare. However, Sénon Game attempts to BLOCK WITH HIS OWN BLADE. However, Adrian Malcolm's TELEPORTATION and HONEDGE are allow the Rocket to gain the upperhand. It forces CRIMSEN back onto his heels as a WATER PLEDGE erupts between them.[break][break]

Nearby, Katherine Fairburne's EXPLOSIONS rock the background of their confrontation. @adrian's BRONZOR manages to SLEEP Sénon Game's KADABRA after it SUMMONS A SUNNY DAY. Nevertheless, THE MIST created by the PLEDGE allows Sénon Game to sneak in a HEADBUTT against Adrian Malcolm to push him back.[break][break]

LEVEL 2

FORTUNES SHIFT. Sootopolis' earth shifts around for Kaida Adachi and Laurence Anderson, drawing them back from whence they came. Recalling DRAGONAIR, Kaida Adachi's EKANS is swung like a whip. A painful ACID SPRAY strikes across Cillian Quinn's LUGIA.[break][break]

Lulu Flint's NOCTOWL manages to PROTECT in time, a barrier shimmering with each ANCIENT POWER boulder thrown. On the bird, the HEAD SCIENTIST's LUCARIO performs HELPING HAND as a DARKRAI throws a malevolent DARK PULSE toward the ARTICUNO.[break][break]

On the ground, Rowan Wrynn's SEISMITOAD fires a disruptive MUD SHOT at noah faber's MACHAMP. It slows the behemoth down— but the MACHAMP manages to fight through to swing at the toad with a THROAT CHOP.[break][break]

However, a fierce flash of white illuminates the space with a violent crack. A THUNDER erupts toward a noah faber who is in mid-flight. Laurence Anderson, who has mustered his courage, returns. A ROCK SLIDE falls, held somewhat in place by his METAGROSS' TELEKINESIS. However, the time it takes to place the disc in and react to the THUNDER is much too long. Despite Laurence Anderson' efforts, at least several arms of ELECTRICTY reach noah faber to torch him. He is tossed back and on to the ground, rolled up into a heap by Rowan Wrynn's feet.[break][break]

Still, a BLIZZARD blows across the field— but it is more of a defensive gale than an offensive airstrike. Although it is a potent storm, Lulu Flint's LUCARIO'S HELPING HAND allows a portion of the DARKRAI's DARK PULSE to strike Laurence Anderson' ARTICUNO.[break][break]

Although mason moore's Pokemon PROTECT against Rowan Wrynn and Cillian Quinn's attacks, it is clear that his opponents are well-practiced. Skilled. Powerful— and with the situation becoming more overwhelming by the second, the boy opts to run.[break][break]

After he's lifted by TORTERRA, they attempt to leap toward LEVEL 1. However, they miss. Temporarily, they're released from the gravity of their previous stage... but they find themselves unable to latch on to the gravitational pull of LEVEL 1.[break][break]

They fall. And as they plummet, they witness within a blink, the pink eyes of a weird beast glaring at them (PALKIA) before the cold of darkness takes them....[break][break]

CAVE OF ORIGIN

THE ANGELO thanks skyler dross's GALLADE for its healing. Smoothly, the wounds heal like smoke peeling away hurt. As skyler dross and kyle lopez enter the CAVE OF ORIGIN, the latter's ENTEI remains to defend the cave.[break][break]

There, Raziel Beckett and angelo vestri arrive. They witness their people of interest enter the cave— but as they do, a wall of SHAODW swirls around the entrance.[break][break]

Several ROCKET GRUNTS emerge from the sides. Glaring at angelo vestri and Raziel Beckett, they summon several MIGHTYENA and NUMEL. The Pokemon launch themselves at kyle lopez's ENTEI, angelo vestri, and Raziel Beckett with CRUNCHES and FLAMETHROWERS.[break][break]

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

TWO HAVE FALLEN. However, it is not to their deaths. As mason moore and oscar clayton let vertigo upend their guts, they are suddenly lifted by a splash of water. A ROAR suddenly summons torrential pillars from the Sootopolan bay. On these waterfalls, they find themselves wading in waterfalls horizontally. From the depths, oscar clayton rises back to LEVEL 1, perhaps, with a vengeance.[break][break]

mason moore can make a choice. In their waterfall, do they decide to swim back to LEVEL 2 with their TORTERRA, or do they swim down to the BAY LEVEL below? The beast they saw is not there anymore...[break][break]

Within the CAVE OF ORIGIN, the OTHER ANGELO brings them deep into a wider chamber. Lit by torches held in ancient sconces, the cave is bright if not musty. AS they head deeper in, it is clear that there is no LATIAS. No ROCKETS. Save for one. SHADOWS pool off THE OTHER ANGELO's body before sliding off into the cave's various dark corners. As the dark smoke falls off his form, the feigned injuries, the clothes, the physical appearance fade away to reveal the imposter's true identity.[break][break]

"hello," declan walsh says, "very kind of you two to join me, but i have to admit, i was not expecting the champion to grace me with his appearance as well." from his coat pocket, the ROCKET BOSS pulls out a BLUE SHARD. shadows creep along wall edges like crawling moss. "i'm here to make a deal. with ms. dross— but the invitation extends to you too." his glance flickers to kyle before moving to skyler. "i'll give you this final piece of the blue stone you've held so dear— but only if you join us. no strings attached."[break][break]

The boss knows he must be quick. His shadows at the cave's mouth will only hold for so long until Raziel Beckett and angelo vestri enter.[break][break]

SNAKES & LADDERS

THIS EVENT'S BATTLEFIELD has been separated into three levels only now (please view map). For this round, CHARACTERS ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO ATTACK THOSE ON THE SAME LEVEL AS THEM.[break][break]

Characters can only traverse to another level at the end of their post (i.e. you can not switch levels at the beginning of your post and attack); however, to do so, they must attempt to ROLL 50 and ABOVE and LEAP DOWN or UPWARD by themselves or with the help of POKEMON. If successful, they will be drawn to the level via GRAVITATIONAL PULL (e.g. Mario Galaxy).[break][break]

However, characters can choose to utilize the WATERFALLS. At the BEGINNING or END of their posts, they may use WATERFALL 1 to move from BAY LEVEL to LEVEL 2 and vice-versa. They may also use WATERFALL 2 to move from LEVEL 1 to BAY LEVEL and vice-versa.[break][break]

The Trickster, kim cole-essam, can use his newfound powers as Hoopa avatar, to TELEPORT ANYWHERE ON THE MAP with his Pokemon. He can do this at the end of his post.[break][break]

Okay, the headbutt was a little dirty but it gave him just enough time to keep up the pressure.

Somewhere inside regretted it as soon as he'd heard the 'crunch' of carbon on flesh. The fight was on now though, so he didn't have the luxury of guilt.

Rockets killed for less if this guy was one of them.

Maybe it was the taxing toll of that BRUTAL SWING nearly throwing him back and off his feet that made him smash face like that.

He'd held his ground successfully, but he could feel his arms still tense and a little tired from the one exchange.

His katana looked bent from the collision but the shit was being broken down and redistributed by the fan too fast to double check.

Coming off the headbutt Crimsen wouldn't allow any time for that likely broken nose, to send this dude into some rage-inducted untouchable state.

He shot a thought to Tsukuyomi, who was non-responsive.

Beating his chest he signaled for Amaterasu to blast through his standing location "INFERNO!" sending her flames straight at the little Bronzor.


Sheathing, the vigilante recalled his psychic to its pokéball; Kadabra was too heavy to carry in an active fight.

Calling for another, Jennika was made to pour water on their teams proverbial grease-fire blasting the Honedge and its wielder with the most powerful water move a pokémon could master.

Oscar's fear was replaced by an unholy mixture of confusion and fury. Was she serious? If Katherine was undercover, the act was a bit too real. And a tad hurtful, but if that's the part she had to play. 

However any lingering doubts of her motives were dashed as soon as she attacked. Bitch sent two blacephalon bombs--two of them. She wanted to hurt them. Oscar intended to duck behind Desolence, but she was pulled away by an unseen force--leaving Oscar and Serena wide open. Oscar's eyes widened as he realized that there was nothing he could do--except maybe...

Oscar jumped off Robbie, intending to forcefully shove Serena as far away from the explosions as possible. Successful or not, he landed harshly on his stomach and looked up just in time to see the bombs land. There was a split second where Oscar expected them to be duds, some sort of diversion to make it seem as the attacks were real without actually harming them. They weren't. The bombs exploded, and Oscar felt immense heat and force as he was thrown off the side of the platform. His final words could be clearly heard, fading as he fell into the abyss below.

"FUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!"

As Oscar fell, he sighed deeply. He supposed this was it, all that hard work and clawing meant nothing. He probably deserved this, he wasn't exactly a great guy--and he wasn't getting any better. Maybe this was for the best. Oscar closed his eyes, waiting for some sort of impact. A flash of pink forced them open, and before he could see its source he was hit by a torrent of water. Oscar coughed, looking down as a watery platform began raising him back up. Oscar's fists clenched--he was alive. For now. As he realized that he was being brought back to the battlefield, Oscar's rage would return. He stood, facing where he would see the traitor that nearly killed him.

"FAIRBURNE!!"

Oscar rose past the platform, hopping down as soon as he deemed it safe to do so. Steam escaped between the teeth of his mask as he looked to Katherine. He was breathing heavily, his heart was racing. He was beyond furious. "You hypocrite! How dare you claim the moral high ground! We trusted you! I looked up to you! You had friends and allies among us and you're willing to just throw us away? You're delusional if you think you're any better than us just because you let the League put a leash on you! Now move out of the way or I'll make you!"

Oscar snapped his fingers, cueing his pokemon to take action. Robbie Rotten had been blown to the ground, and he slowly rose as he heard his master speak. He was quite glad he was alright, he doubt anyone else could provide him the luxuries he had become accustomed to. Robbie looked to Trigon, who had landed nearby. They too shook to their feet, shaking their heads as the damage they sustained took their toll. Robbie and Trigon locked eyes, and as they heard the snap they knew exactly what to do.

Robbie launched himself into the air, flying toward the Noivern that had dropped a bomb on them earlier. He stuck his needle outward, apparently aiming to skewer it. Trigon jumped in place, reeling in its legs as if preparing to kick. As soon as Robbie was in striking range, he would disappear (Ally Switch). Trigon would instantaneously take his place, shooting out his legs with immense force (High Jump Kick). If its strike was successful Trigon would use the impact to push itself away and fall to the ground, kicking his legs to soften his descent.

Then there was Desolence, pulled toward Katherine by her mysterious power. As Oscar snapped his fingers, her protective shield would fade. Desolence roared, using her new proximity to Katherine to attempt a direct attack upon her. She stomped the ground, shattering it once again as pure water pooled around her. She stomped again, forming the water into a grand wave and sending it straight for Katherine and her goons (Surf).
