A pokejob ad was posted about needed some pokemon to help gather salt from shoal cave. Maverick was quick to jump on the opportunity, sending out a pokemon he got from a wonder trade that he never thought would be of use until now.

The large arthropod crept forward to the next bunch of raw salt mount, minacious gaze lifted to the human who thought controlled him. He left out a eerie array of stridulating noises from its body, a look of disappear crossed the humans expression. This made him snickered to himself, lining himself up to ROCK SMASH the halite. It shattered upon impacted, sending smaller bits of raw salt in all directions. The human who accompanied him and a few others began to gather the chucks. The sounds of waves crushing could be heard, indicating that the tide would be coming up soon.

The water didn’t bother the Golisopod however, moving to another large cluster of halite. Once again, his claws took on a brilliant red glow. His arm like appendages drew back, only to rush forward with much force in another ROCK SMASH. The hard substance before him shattered, pieces flying everywhere for the humans to collect. He had to admit, besides scaring the humans this was kind of fun.

those who posted a job wanting help in shoal cave were some of the very clients that sam had requested the help of to take care of a few spots of rubble on mt. pyre. specially a natural crypt made of a cave that had caved in when a few of the wild pokémon got into a heated battle.

needless to say, sam figured he could spare his COMBEE for a time. and oh boy, did combee absolutely find the job a delight.

she carried out her tasks with easy, gathered salt and took them back. orders were what she was best at, even if she was a female who might possibly be a ✨ QUEEN ✨ one day, as alecto - sam's gengar - often said she would be.

so she gathered what she could when others would rock smash, her HONEY GATHER ability coming in clutch.

Time for another fun day of Poke-Jobbing.

Chu-e's Ribombee usually just stayed with his Mudsdale in the garden, but today he was getting out to Honey Gather up some salt. Which was weird, salt was gross, but if that's what his Trainer wanted him to do...

Soon, the low tide was in and the tiny pokemon was busy scraping the salt off the walls or rocks or what have you and collecting it into a tiny little basket he had been given. It wasn't much, since he was very small, but it was honest work and work he liked to do.

Plus, maybe he could steal a little bit to give his horse friend back home a treat.

Kenai the green Teddiursa was excited to be sent on this special field trip to Shoal Cave! Having only known the boundaries of the Safari Zone all of his life, the cub was eager to do a good job and listen to the friendly human guiding it. More than anything, he wanted to show his thanks to the man who had chosen him and taken him along .

Following the lead of older, more experienced, Pokémon in the group, the baby cub readied his paws and began to gather salt that coated the walls of Shoal Cave. When the fur on his paws became too heavy with salt, he proceeded towards a station where a friendly human gathered it all using a machine. Afterwards, he was sent back to gather even more salt.[break][break]

ribombee was not a particularly strong pokemon. it was both thin and frail, as expected from a bug-type. it couldn't do much when it came to physical jobs, but it showed up all the same. whereas the others were able to support each other through hard work...

THESE POKEMON AREN’T KNOWN FOR THEIR SIZE. Instead, it’s their affinity for seeking out certain substances that find value in Shoal Cave. Fragments of cave salt are brought back as samples, a stark contrast to the HONEY GATHER its used to but repurposing linear skillsets is the core principle of adaptation.

Every so often the Cutiefly SWITCHAROOS its small bucket, bringing more samples from hard to reach places. It’s no more than a scout, leaving the heavy lifting for more suitable workers.

the only thing the mightyena knows what to do is destroy. being paid to do that was more than enough incentive for kyle to let his pokemon go on a rampage to do so.

maybe if it gets tired out from this job then it wouldn't have enough energy to wreck havoc back at home.

it starts to look at the deposits of salt that crystalized all over the shoal cave. they're often called shoal salt and are used to make the famous shell bells, but in the eyes of a mightyena, they're nothing but target practice.

for every salt crystal it sees, it runs up to it and rock smashes it away from where it was anchored. it makes for easy collection, especially when they're so embedded with the rocks.

the green ursaring stumbles through shoal cave, not minding the cold because he has really thick fur that kept him warm. he sniffs the air, easily finding the required salt because of his HONEY GATHER.

but he's also a little lazy, and instead of smashing rocks on his own, he simply waits for the others to do so.
