Ryne the Chikorita wasn't so much planting Tamato berries as much as she was simply rolling in the dirt. In doing so, traces of its scent, the pollen from its leave, gently fell onto the soil, enriching the soil's seed with its nutrients. Thanks to it's Overgrow ability, these tamatos would grow massive, the perfect size for splatting someone in the face.

It seemed like Callan Young's CHIKORITA had the right idea. Taking a simple approach, rolling around in the dirt while leaving the hard work to the other Pokémon around it.

Glaïeul tried to mirror his brethren by acting nonchalant about the whole thing. A little aerating of the soil here (really just kicking it with his foot), a little transfer of pollen there (walking through the field of tamato bushes totally counts for this, right?). Job complete!

... or it would be, if he wasn't a stickler for the rules. The poor CHIKORITA knew his owner BARNABY FINCH would not be pleased with such a display of apathy, so it was time for an alternative plan. With an upwelling of natural energy, Glaïeul spread a Grassy Terrain throughout the berry patch - leaving the land richer than when he'd gotten there only an hour before.

Streusel was a perfect fit, in Calvin's eyes, to assist with the tamato berry growing— So when he saw the flyer advertising help, he was quick to send the grass-dragon-type out to do it, much to the Flapple's chagrin. He flew aimlessly around the field, going where he saw fit, just helping out where he was needed, as he was expected to do.

[break][break]Luckily, his Ripen ability seemed to be in full effect, the berries he bothered to attend to boosted in their growing thanks to this helpful ability. Surely, the festival would go off without a hitch, the deadline met with the help of the increased growth speed just from Flapple being in the vicinity. Good job, Streusel.

Sauvignon the Appletun had a job to do; thankfully it was an easy job, otherwise he would have parked himself under the nearest tree for a nap. Though, to be fair, his job was close enough to the desired nap that he could doze with abandon. Using his RIPEN ability, he nestles down amidst a patch of Tamato berries and basking in the sun while the berries slowly reach maturity.

Tomatoes and Bananas are almost the same right? At least that had been Gerald’s thought process when he signed his Tropius up for spending an afternoon helping with the throw-able Tomatoes. Luckily the Tropius didn’t mind helping at all.

It gazed out upon its allotted field. Seeing the small sprouts ready to become big tomatoes, some of them seemed weak and withering. It pondered which means it had to best help them along. It reached the conclusion that something was ailing them, and he knew just the thing which could help it.

It closed its eyes and gazed towards the sun as it allowed roots to sprout and extend over its field. A nice green hue began to emit from it as it pulled the very power of the sun into its body. Quickly synthesizing energy and directing it, not for the purpose of healing its own body but to nurture the plants so that they would heal their ailments which might prevent growth, and hopefully, even give them the strength for a growth spurt.
