they were all on the last leg of the festival. everything was about to go back to frantic chaos. dealing with the end of the world—not that it had necessarily stopped for him that week, but there had been a distraction. something fun to do.

after stowing away a pokeball her milotic had uncovered, nina spied something else hiding in a plume of seaweed. she swam over, part it to take her next find. hopefully, it would be something exciting. a clamperl maybe? after all the fantastic things she'd found, she'd still somehow yet to find one of those.

there was so much down here. obviously, the league had planted it all. why so many battle items and mega stones? were they intentionally bolstering the strength of civilians for what was coming?

she had been ready for war. after stories of the megalopolan invasion, a gut feeling told her it wasn’t just the meteor that was coming.
