"That would be nice." Derek remarks about the grilled magikarp. Though it seems Mint overheard him asking about something to snack on, declaring they would be the one to get it for them.

But he wasn't even on the boat yet.

Fixing more bait to his hook, Derek hopes this time he'll snag a big one. The others seemed to be having a better go of it, but that wouldn't stop him from continuing to try new bait and techniques to attract larger fish. Maybe it would help if he got in the water and splashed in distress?

as he waits for luka chêne 's response, jayden tugs the line upwardly sharply. the small mantine that flops up onto the boat and into the catch cooler is... adorable. even jayden has to admit it.

Luka blinks. Her memories of the night are rather foggy as well, thanks to the the space-time rift as much as drink. If her evening with her ex had progressed beyond drinks and chaos...well, fish doesn't know anything about that yet, so shhh.[break][break]

Just one more...

Derek can't help but feel the need to keep going until he nets a fish large, or maybe even small enough to earn himself a crown. So until Mint came around with something, he remained on his Gyarados, casting his lure out into the water and quickly reeling it back in intervals to attract the attention of pokemon swimming below.

The sun's position had begun to shift, causing his pokemon to cast a large shadow down over the water. Fish liked to reside in the dark, at least in his experience. Maybe that'd spell some luck for him...

Somehow, the young man managed to bring up a whole wooden playe of assorted cheeses, ans meat. There's even some olives. He grabbed a handful on a napkin before waving at DEREK HOFFMAN. "I left it here so yoy can reach!" He shouted setting the plate near the edge of the yacht before going back to his fishing. He sets the napkin of snacks on Calem Pollet's lap before toasing his line once more.

For some reason, Luka feels a little put out by his very mundane reasoning.[break][break]
But she merely kicks her feet again and casts her line as always, her eye drawn to the Gengar lure jayden cross uses. Maybe she should get herself one...something cute! Maybe then some more fantastical Pokemon would find themselves ensnared by her hook.[break][break]
