THE BORDER IS A MOUNTAINOUS PURGATORY OF MUTED SEPIA SMOKE. By floating islands, translucent bridges soar through the realm toward the heavens. Tall stone spires jut out from the spiritual mist. In the sky, the wisps of spirits can be seen heading toward their final destination before the afterlife...[break][break]

Curiously, there are four broken seals embedded in four mountains. Though Adrian Malcolm and YVELTAL may have seen their location upon their unceremonious entry, the spirit realm has shifted since their last visit, rendering each broken seal far apart from each other.

"Have you not known Eris for long?" Razz can't help but question. He doesn't mean it in a mean way, but he does mean it in a this all felt very 'normal' in her world of childish crazy. Not to mention the crazy that was Hoenn as a whole. Razz still isn't sure as to why Eris Halla would ask the delivery boy and his girlfriend to come but if she thought the two would be of use in scouting he'd go along with it. For now he does what he can to ignore the wisp. Not wanting to see any familiar faces that might trigger things. [break][break]

Salem looks ahead and seems to point at a boat as a good way to cross that wasn't just using a flying pokemon. "Rifts have opened up in key locations in Hoenn, seems like a good idea to investigate the aera and see what can be done about it if anything," Razz offers a more logical answer as he follows the Meowstic.

How long she's known Locke Jamison for? How they met? How is she supposed to explain the whole 'we met while Yveltal was trying to kill us but not really because both of us were knocked out' fiasco?[break][break]

"It's not every day that you get to explore cool new places!" She chirps, smiling as both Reiner and Mesprit give their own notes of agreement. With one having been cooped up in the forest for fear of being seen whereas the other simply wishing for Eris to spend less time talking to herself, the two pokemon seem to have found camaraderie for the strangest of reasons.[break][break]

Mesprit finds comfort in interaction, hovering around Lottie with bright cheers and Raziel Beckett with his stiff, rule-abiding vibes. Every now and then, she can't help but flutter towards Salem and reach out for one of his bushy tails. On the other hand, Reiner is perfectly content with sticking to Eris' side, making sure she has her coat on right and that she doesn't end up tripping into the river somehow.[break][break]

"Ooo, this is just like the mythos momma used to read me before bed!" Try as she might, there's no stopping the excited squeals, her toes tippy-tapping on the shore as she hops from one foot to another. "In some cultures, they believe that there will be a boat to carry them down the river to the afterlife! But they gotta pay a toll or the ferryman gets real upset, and then the spirit gets stuck on the shore as a restless ghost for eternity!"[break][break]

Therein lies a problem she doesn't quite expect, and thus she has no real solution to. Her gaze wanders from the group to the strange golden ferryman, then back once more.[break][break]

Elsewhere in the world, Adrian crosses the threshold to this aurum vale. He sets out alone, equipped only with his usual adventour garb and gadgets, thinking himself knowledgable of this place enough to travel by foot. When he is welcomed by a vast series of high rising bluffs, he breathes out with an exasperated huff.[break][break]

It... changed? He shouldn't sound so surprised, but it catches him off guard. Adrian queries Yveltal, reluctant to set out blindly in search of some misplaced grove. Its answer proves... insightful:[break][break]

Follow the Four Winds, they shall guide us...[break][break]

He can see wisps breezing through the valleys between spires, scattering across the land in seeking their lasting peace. Adrian resolves to follow the cluster spiraling WEST, which has became an enshrouded mess of rocky spires jutting out of the mists. To hasten his journey, Adrian takes wing on the back of Yveltal's spawn going forward...[break][break]

As they cut like a knife's edge through the shroud of mist clinging between mountains in muted approach, Adrian watches the wisps part before their approach. They do not seem to be bothered, or especially interested in, their presence... At least for now.[break][break]

Perhaps he was wrong to worry.

Razz just listens in as Eris goes on about the story of the ferryman to the afterlife. As he looks at the coin pokemon seemingly holding out their hand for payment, part of him wonders if it was in fact the only safe way to get through. Or could anyone, he gives up a coin and climbs in, waiting for the others to do the same. Though his frown seems to grow slightly as a judging brow raises at the trio. "Eris I know how much you make how can you not?" he comments at her before he looks to the delivery duo who also seem to have empty pockets. "I think you and your girlfriend need to learn some money saving tips," is all he tells them before Razz gives up 3 more coins for the others. [break][break]

Once the others were on the boat the ferrymon would take them over, up in the sky Razz swears he sees the shadow of a large bird which makes him squint his eye in the West direction. They should probably stick together for now, "This way, keep an eye out," Razz warns as he leads the way.

At least, until she tries getting onto the boat, which takes about a full brain cell shared between two ungraceful creatures as both Reiner and Eris find a bit of trouble. But they manage, for what kind of adventurers would they be if they didn't?[break][break]

And as they move along, her attention split between the dreary skies, sloshing water and ominous prickling feeling going down her spine, she can't help but lean in to Razz.[break][break]

Availing themselves along the Westerly winds, Adrian takes the time to mull over methodology. Short of taking photographs and giving everything a once over, he needed to come at this from multiple directions. It would've helped to have an extra pair of hands and eyes, and that reminds him of a particular someone...[break][break]

As Yveltal descends through the mists, it delicately perches upon a mound of earthen rock before allowing its rider to disembark. Ahead of them is a strange tree which draws its focus; sliding off its side, Adrian would consider it unremarkable... But as he takes a few short steps, his sclera darkening as SHINIGAMI EYES take hold, he can see the seal, even broken, reeks of some vile aura from within...[break][break]

Just as quickly as he's begun however, Yveltal flaps its wings mightily before taking off. Adrian finds himself skipping from astonishment to annoyance quickly. Where do you think you're going?[break][break]

As they OBSERVE, another Unown winks into this plane beside them. The three are able to freely inspect the area with their naked eye, but it proves less than telling in such a strange setting. And yet...[break][break]

So far as Adrian can discern, a strange, geometric pattern was the only persisting trace of an AURA that manifested strongly, but the air here was suffused with an outpouring of energy dissipating unevenly.

"You are working at a real job, you might not make as much as some of the others but you're far from being unable to afford change for a boat," he says almost sarcastically, as it seems he find it somewhat amusing that she has forgotten all the work they had to do to set this up when Eris decided 'hey i want to be a gym leader and work for the league who im hiding this new identity from!' [break][break]

"Enough," he answers about how much she makes as it seems weird to discuss figures in front of the delivery duo, "Merry Christmas you have money," he jokes to the teenager as they get off the boat and start off in the direction of of the shadow from before as Locke Jamison seems to give his protest about his situation not being better which has Razz just raise a brow at him in a 'really?' fashion. [break][break]

"I don't think the league as officially locked off these areas to the public, but rather just highly suggest not going unless you're accompanied by a powerful trainer," he tells Locke as they travel, though his dull cheery attitude seems to turn as a familar figure comes into view. As it was he was never too happy to see a rocket, but to learn that the civilian he defended way back when was Rocket all along? It struck a bit of a cord with him. Though lucky for Adrian Malcolm he wasn't the type to shoot first. [break][break]

Adrian might have detected a whiff of their arrival had he not been so immersed with his work. As it was, he would be taken by surprise as they break into the clearing, making accusations out of questions. Alarm is overwhelmed with aggression, though he doesn't fathom this abrupt change, embracing it.[break][break]

"And what of you? Come to lay claim to this place under League 'authority'?" It was a tired old song and dance that they played along to, which left him weary and woefully impatient. "Don't think so."[break][break]

Through his sneer it's plain to see he objects to their arrival here. By the twitch of his fingers searching for a pokeball, it's obvious he means to oppose it somehow. Such a change in character might not go unnoticed to Kingsman, though Jamison might allow it to feed into their damning impression of him. As for the child...[break][break]

Well, Adrian hated children. The louder and whinier, the worse this minor nuissance bloated into outright resentment towards the little miss accompanying them.[break][break]

"I'm not about to watch the League turn another tragedy into a power grab," Adrian spits back with vitriol, unleashing a dreadful Arbok.[break][break]

"Raze them," he commands, Arbok raising its tail before slamming it against the earth, releasing the umbral aspected energies therein to the ground, where it suffused with the earth to erupt beneath these trespassers.[break][break]

A swirling Mist Ball was wordlessly ordered in the direction of Malcolm and his Arbok, without so much as an attempt form either Latias or her ward to avoid the oncoming attack.
