[nospaces] [attr="class","mango lam"] [attr="class","inner"] [attr="class","body"] The first time he wakes, in the darkness of his living room to the blue light of the tv screen in power-saver mode and the incessant buzz of the new message, all while sprawled on the couch—game controller fallen out of hand, Lam is far too disoriented to give much thought to the riddle that pops up. Bleary eyed, he stares at it tosses his phone down on the coffee table. Frankly, it takes all of his willpower to make it from point A of the living room to point B of his actual bed before passing out again after shuffling his partner back over to his own side of the bed.[break][break] He’ll figure it out in the morning. (Something that of course doesn’t happen once the message erases itself.) Though the internet sleuths of Hoenn pose interesting theories that are way bigger-brained than he’d ever work out on his own—he can’t argue. It’s all sorts compelling.[break][break] When the passes over and he wakes again, it is not to the light in his bedroom, or the coziness of his duvet (annoying.) The brightly lit room and it’s snubbull enthroned do well to sour his mood instantly, as do the unidentifiable avatars that sprout up around him. embody him, he notes with a cursory look at himself. It’s too early for this, for the question that pops up in front of him in blinking font, posturing a query he is simply too groggy to truly think much upon.[break][break] He has half a mind to say yes, get me the heck outta here. It’s far less cozy than his mundanely domestic dreaming had been. Yes, it was cool and all going down an internet rabbit hole of theories and typed out debates on higher meaning but, like, sleep, man.[break][break] His finger slips and he selects [NO.][break][break] So much for that.
