To be apart from his charge was a strange feeling, Baron had decided not long ago. To not be able to feel their mind - that which had brought him forth - as clearly as he feels like he should. Logically, he understood that El would be fine. That his charge was strong and capable.

But it did not make it any less odd.

Setting that aside for now, though, he would waste no time in getting to work. Being a robotic lifeform, he had a certain eye for detail and efficiency alike; multitasking with ease as he moved from task to task in the construction site.

... He made a point to fix the very same lampposts that were driving Reiner that littlest bit nuts.

Indra knows that Lam is around here somewhere, helping to oversee the construction that has risen up around the city in preparation. Rather than remain glued to his trainer’s side, though, the alolan raichu works independently– following along after sturdier fighting-types and offering discharged pulses of electricity where testing the wiring is necessary for the stadium build.[break][break]

Though he cannot lift the heavy steel beams that are placed in support of the new structure with his little, nubby arms, Indra concentrates on one end to assist a machoke. psychic energy lifts one end of the beam telekinetically and swings it around. Floating on the wide, flat part of his tail, he floats alongside the beam so as to not break concentration as he guides the other pokemon to move the hefty component to its proper place.[break][break]

When it is set down with a heavy thunk, the raichu does a swift, looping turn and chirps – ready to repeat the process with the next beam.

Of all things—why was there a Magnezone here?

Why, to help get the stage assembled, of course!

Who knew that their Lock-on ‘attack’ would prove to be valuable; to ensure that not a beam was out of place, not a single nail would be misaligned.

And so the Magnezone hummed along, helping other Pokémon who needed assistance with getting everything settled away.

Part of Lilycove city was undergoing a huge reno project to house an upcoming tournatment, there was lots of construction going around! There were lots of Pokemon in the area lending aid, and Delton the Hisuian Decidueye was no exception.[break]
There were many large fighting types lugging around heavy sets of bricks and stones and electric types charging up construction equipment, but Delton found his niche for assistance as he used his powerful claws and Triple Arrows to mark out deep indentions in the dirt and soil for the foundation outlines of a new building to put in.

it was only fitting that the pokemon that the densoku logo was modeled after was to make an appearance.

as the honorary mascot of the pokemon recruited by the sponsors (densoku) of the vital city tournament, his mere presence alone lifts up the spirit of everyone around him, almost as if he was the light of their world.

in an almost literal sense, it was true.

he struts all over the streets, charging batteries and generators of various equipment that will be used during the grand opening of the event. it's the least he could do. after all, he is densoku.

Brutus' role in the construction was a very simple one: heavy lifting.

Thanks to his immense strength, and superb sense of balance afforded to him by the sprig in his maw, the Pangoro not only hauled steel beams, and equipment for the others, but was able to move and balance them through more precarious situations.

Once a beam had been put in place, and properly mounted, the Pangoro moved onto the next object, tirelessly repeating the process, until the job was done.

With Saber having arrived rather late to the job, thanks to his presence being required for multiple Gym Challenges that day, the Pokémon the Mauville Gym Leader was most well-known for had very little to do at the site of the Vital City tournament. Enough battle enthusiasts surrounded the celebrity's Pokémon that they impeded what little work there was for him to finish up. Mostly, it was hauling supplies around via cart while some of the other Pokémon, such as Thomas Benoit 's Pangoro, did the heavy lifting.

The Manectric did have one very important role, though, and that was stress testing the electrical system. Due to the size and scope of the tournament, the electrical equipment had to be able to withstand tremendous power surges. The yellow and blue wolf was the perfect Pokémon to test that, unleashing a vicious DISCHARGE in the Rattata Nest of wires. Though a few wires frayed and burst, there proved to be enough redundancy for the systems to all remain online. Not even a flicker.

If the local power grid could withstand that, then it could withstand anything.
