he comes back after he has died. "second time's the charm," he mumbles, still knowing that the likelihood of him pulling the sword out of the stone is near zero. trying's free though, so he'll try this until he gets tired.

kyle walks up to the sword and stares at it. multiple players have also tried and failed the rng roll, and he's about to do it twice in a row. his hand holds the hilt of the sword, watching the ribbon wrap around his arm.

"here goes," he mutters to himself, hyping him up before he readies himself to reappear at the spawn.

his hand grips the handle of the sword before he attempts to pull it out.

kat couldn't help but wonder what was all the fuss about. it was just a sword, wasn't it? but she's heard enough of the rumors to know what happens if you fail. then again, she has yet to fail even once in this game. so it's better to try then to avoid it. not to mention... managing to pull the honedge out of the stone is likely to grant her something. an achievement, some exp, the reputation of the best player in the server. whatever it was - she was interested.

Last time was painful, but apparently Ruby hadn't learned her lessons just yet. She stood there, arms resting on her hips as she stared at the sword. "I swear... I will get you out someday." With a quiet huff, she debated on what to do. She always could attempt to use the psychic abilities from her class to move it, but that sounded almost like cheating and she didn't dare risk doing anything like that. Instead, she simply stared as she watched other players once again seemingly sacrifice themselves to the sword. Was it... getting stronger with all these 'souls' it took? Unsure, and simply too curious for her own good, Ruby reached up and just gently touched it, hoping a softer approach might be the answer all along.

Running around the world of B&B had been fun these past few days, but nothing was quite so exciting as watching people attempt to draw the Honedge from the stone. Watching someone else suffer was just another typical human pastime.

Eyes sparkling with curiosity, he watched as the latest heroes tried to heave the sword, only to fade out and teleport to their last save point.

It was little wonder then he chose to save before strutting up to the stone, pumping himself up as he placed his hands on the sword, feeling the ornate pommel beneath his iron grip. Budge, you bastard!

And resilient. And stubborn. Her travels brought her into its territory, and she found herself eyeing the blade again. It must have been waiting for somebody with a high attack stat like her to free it!

It’d likely take a few deaths for her to get the idea.
