[attr="class","abooti"] as syren sailed through the air for the umpteenth time, she now realized why. the sword was an 'easter egg' of sorts? something special the developers put in for players to figure out. so far, all these childish players, have thought it best to throw the weird clampearl thing at the sword.

digital gravity called to syren and as she approached the sword at mach 5 speeds she CLAMPED down, trying to tug it.

Apparently there was some special event going on in this game where one could attempt to free a sword from a stone. So he walked up to where the thing was buried, and tilted his head to it. It wasn't anything spectacular to look at it, though the blade was buried in stone. Rubbing his hands together, and a fierce determination in his eyes he stepped up to the plate. It looked like many others had tried to pull it out from the looks of the other characters standing around, but so far none had succeeded. Perhaps he would be the first one to do it? Well whether he was first or not didn't matter it was a good way to kill time between questing, and trying to find suitable PvP opponents. It was an aspect of the game he didn't think he'd enjoy as much as he was, but testing his skills against others was quite fun.

Normally it was trainer vs trainer in a Pokemon battle, but here there was none of the pretense, no Pokemon to hide behind. You had to get your hands dirty yourself, and he relished that feeling. It was why he spent so much of time in Dragnor, it was the Dragon City first of all so it fit with his aesthetic, and secondly it was a PvP zone. Though he had already met some friendly people there as they had fought a Boss mob in the area.Shaking his head he focused, and reached out to grip the handle of the stuck sword, and then with every ounce of his might he pulled as hard as he could in order to free the sword. Hopefully the reward was something cool...Maybe he'd get to become the King of Dragnor...Now wouldn't that be something, he mused to himself.

Bambi was excited, much more than she should have been for an event where you might get a sword that was stuck in a sword. She understood that she would need the blessing of RNJesus in order to win at all, but she was hopeful about her chances. She didn't have any need for a sword, but she liked that she could probably become queen or something like that if she pulled it out, and she thought that was the biggest flex. Even as she saw many people fail to pull out the sword she stayed hopeful, not letting it deter her as she took her turn. Wrapping her delicate hands around the sword she gave it a tug and let the dice roll.

Another day, another attempt to yank the sword out. Quite frankly, it was indeed quite ridiculous. Perhaps her earlier theory might not be wrong, that it just got more and more powerful the more 'souls' it absorbed. And yet, Ruby couldn't help but remain curious. What if she was the one to get the sword? What would happen? Or worse... what if some bully got the sword and used it to ruin the game for people? Putting on a tough face, Ruby reached over and suddenly pulled on the sword with all her might.

It was strange how optimistic most of B&B's players were, milling about this relic only for it to kill them day in and day out. It was one of the most looked forward to events; at least in his experiences so far. Even if he always died...

Would today be any different? He'd be forced to wonder, as his cocky gait brought him standing over the sword-in-the-stone, preparing to reconcile with another loss. It'd be crazy if it worked, though. But the odds weren't in anyone's favor.

But still they all tried desperately to snag for themselves that claim to fame: World's first...

he comes back after he has died. "fifth time's the charm," he mumbles, still knowing that the likelihood of him pulling the sword out of the stone is near zero. trying's free though, so he'll try this until he gets tired.

kyle walks up to the sword and stares at it. multiple players have also tried and failed the rng roll, and he's about to do it twice in a row. his hand holds the hilt of the sword, watching the ribbon wrap around his arm.

"here goes," he mutters to himself, hyping him up before he readies himself to reappear at the spawn.

There is a part of her that greatly wishes to turn away from where she stands now, once again eyeing the virtual pokemon that has, in someways, become a bane to her existence as of late. Orion's last attempt had been downright pitiful. He'd attempted to grasp and pull and had succeeded only in embarrassing himself when his grip slipped off the hilt and the Honedge devoured his soul while he stumbled back.[break][break]

Hell, even if he didn't manage to pull the damned blade out, he needed to redeem himself. Most of the players in the churchyard probably didn't know him from Adam and hadn't seen his failure but he knew, damn it, and that was bad enough.[break][break]

Alec had came back once again to this blasted sword. He had died yet another time, and for some reason as he had walked over to the sword, he could help but feel powerful. Was it because he had leveled up drastically since the last time he was here? He didn't even know the real reason as to why he felt confident.
