Or at least get him to stop dozing off. They find their fitness coach in the form of an overzealous Scrafty, which falls upon Kubfu in a rain of verbal blows. Lazy. Unfocused. These words are a stain to Kubfu's pride, and utilized by its prospective teacher, the perfect motivator.[break][break]

After some well deserved ridicule, Kubfu falls in line. Scrafty is able to get bring out the resolve it was looking for, COACHING the Kubfu all the while. Maintain form. Concentrate. Progress can't be made with just blind flailing and building strength. After enough time spent with Scrafty, even Kubfu begins to BULK UP from the experience.[break][break]

While Kubfu is undergoing its training, Adrian is solicited for Kubfu's involvement in a promotional video for a local karate instructor. After some discussion, Adrian decides to go for it, and sure enough they manage to get some quality content for his latest promotional material:[break][break]

News and rumors about the Dewford Swole Scene had reached all over Lilycove. He's seen the reels and tiktoks and photo sets. They sold a story: get strong, and look good doing it. It had the perfect mix of something absolutely terrible that he hated, and something he loved: working out and ig pics. No thoughts here, just gains. Exclusively just gains.

The scene is pretty active for how early it was, and maybe that made it a little intimidating, but there's nothing he can't push through without sheer confidence. Fake it till you make it and whatever. His Slowbro seemed pretty into it at least. "You getting gains with me, Prosecco?" he asked with a slight grin as the pokemon began to glow fulling on PSYCHing UP as their trainer began a set of squat. "I can't tell if you're excited to be around this many people working out, or asking for a treat after?" Either way, it's a good boost of morale he supposed. His attempt at a dance was pretty cute.

The sun shines, the Wingull squawk, and on the beach by Dewford Town, there’s an endless chorus of the word ’Brah’.

It would seem as if Beau Fontaine has become quite the star, Hoenn’s personal trainer’s wanting to emulate not only his physique, but also his mannerisms. Or, are those perhaps the mannerisms of all personal trainers? Is this some kind of unspoken rule of their profession?

Mars had agreed to have his Falinks help out at the beach because he likes the gym leader well enough after having completed his gym challenge, but maybe he should be worried about the Formation Pokémon becoming a bunch of little dudebros by the time this is done.

They walk onto the beach in single file, each little trooper proudly bearing POG Bank’s logo on the shields at their sides. They break formation when ‘The Brass’ commands as much, scattering and approaching a few of the trainers nearby. Shields are raised into defensive stances, BULK UP allowing them to withstand the punches of other pokémon who also seem to want to emulate the physique of Dewford’s gym leader. It makes for quite the sight.

If you wanted to stay relevant in the online sphere, you had to follow the popular trends. There was no way around it, at least for content creators like BARNABY FINCH. So it made sense for him to take advantage of the clear summer weather and travel to Dewford Town, where many influencers were creating workout videos of all things.

He wasn't going to go that far. But a small clip of him doing a few routines would probably suffice.

The ORANGURU he'd brought with him could psychically handle the camerawork; his telekinetic powers made it possible to span the camera around smoothly without the use of a gyroscope. The ape also helped to PSYCH UP his trainer with an encouraging wave of his palm fan.

Barnaby also wanted to get a few pictures for Instagram. After several takes, he struck a pose he felt was worthy for the app. It was bound to get a little traction, at least.

chestnut is no stranger to being on camera, but being on camera for a fitness video feels foreign. he blinks at his fish-eye reflection in the camera being manned by a stranger, bulkier than any smartphone his trainer has ever put in front of his face.

this is the machop noah has decided to raise personally. after the death of his oldest partner, the gym leader had to take his time.

immediately pursuing another machop seemed like betrayal. but grief implores for patience. only now is noah able to grow around it. carry it like his machamp had with all four arms.

his machop bulks up alongside annalise henderson's chestnaught. it's almost comical. the sheer size of the shelled fighter compared to it.

but it matters little. its gutsy attitude is emboldened by the familiarity of kyle lopez's riolu: a nice safety net for the pokemon's socialization even when framed by a personal trainer's lens.

the riolu situates itself near noah faber's machop.

it knows its effects with its natural EMPATHY powers as a riolu. however it can help, it will, and it doesn't discount the people the job is for.

the riolu's natural inclination to connect makes it a natural at coaching. it gives the best motions to instruct those that will be watching the video, making sure its movements are as easy to follow.
